I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Baibale and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting the Lancang area. The facilities were excellent—everything was clean, comfortable, modern, and thoughtfully maintained. After long days of cycling, it was the perfect place to rest and recover. One detail I especially appreciated was the generous standard checkout time of 2:00 PM, which made departure much more relaxed than at most hotels. The included breakfast and lunch were both fantastic. The food was fresh, delicious, and gave me a great opportunity to enjoy local flavors without having to rush out to find a meal. What truly sets Baibale apart, however, is the staff. I was bikepacking across China and later flying onward, and they went far above and beyond to help me throughout my stay. Whether it was assisting with logistics, answering questions, or simply taking the time to make sure everything was going smoothly, they consistently showed genuine kindness and hospitality. One of my favorite parts of my stay was spending time talking with the staff about the different local teas. They were incredibly knowledgeable and happy to share their passion, making the experience feel much more personal than just staying at a hotel. Those conversations, along with all of their other thoughtful help, made my time in Lancang especially memorable. If you’re staying in the Lancang area, Baibale is a place you shouldn’t miss. Between the excellent facilities, great food, generous checkout time, and some of the warmest, most attentive hospitality I’ve experienced anywhere, it was easily one of the highlights of my trip across China.

Hôtel récemment ouvert, le service est excellent. J'ai même été surclassé dans une chambre avec terrasse à mon arrivée. La chambre est neuve, le lit est très confortable, les oreillers sont hauts et bas, la salle de bain est équipée de toilettes élégantes, la douche est très grande, le lavabo est également très grand, ce qui est pratique pour ranger cosmétiques et produits de soin. Le petit-déjeuner est également bon, et il est très pratique de prendre un taxi depuis l'hôtel. Je recommande cet hôtel à tous ceux qui viennent à Ning'er.

One of my favorite places I have stayed my whole trip! The rooms were safe, clean, and provided towels and slippers. As jt is only women staying here, it felt very safe and comfortable as a solo female traveler. The girls who work here are SO kind and helpful, they took me to see different sights and suggested things I might enjoy seeing. It’s very peaceful here, and I would definitely return if I was staying in Jingmai. Also, this hotel is in a slightly less touristic area which means there is little hustle and bustle from other tourists but is still located close to everything you need.

Service: very good! Arranged station pick-up in advance. Easy to communicate. Very friendly. Breakfast: for this kind of city and hotel very good breakfast. Salad, warm dishes and some sweets. Absolutely sufficient. Room: very clean. Nice chair to enjoy the view. Powerful shower and toilet flush. Everything I need Gym: for a hotel of this size and price absolutely amazing Location: close to station and walking distance to tea terraces (if you like hiking) Additional: free drinks in the fridge next to reception. Free laundry. Many small lovely details. Perfect stay

호텔이 메인 광장 바로 뒤에 위치해 있어 주변 관광이나 이동이 매우 편리했습니다. 저녁까지는 약간의 소음이 있었지만, 밤에는 조용해 숙면에 방해되지 않았습니다. 객실은 전반적으로 깔끔하고 관리가 잘 되어 있었으며, 베란다가 있긴 하지만 다소 좁은 편이었습니다. 다만 1층 엘리베이터 앞에 계단이 있어 거동이 불편한 어르신이 이용하기에는 불편할 수 있습니다. 복도와 공용공간의 관리 상태는 다소 아쉬웠지만, 객실 내부는 청결하고 쾌적했습니다. 조식은 제공되지 않으나 주변에 식당과 카페가 많아 크게 불편하지 않았습니다. 외국인 여행객은 전기 전환기가 필요하니 미리 준비하는 것이 좋습니다. 전반적으로 서비스는 단순하지만, 위치와 객실의 청결도는 매우 만족스러웠습니다. The hotel is located right behind the main square, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. There was some noise in the evening, but it became quiet at night and did not disturb our sleep. The room was clean and well-maintained, and although the balcony was quite small, it was nice to have one. However, there are stairs in front of the first-floor elevator, which can be inconvenient for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. The condition of the hallway and common areas was not impressive, but the room itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is not provided, but there are many restaurants and cafés nearby. Foreign guests should note that a power adapter is needed. Overall, the service is simple, but the location and cleanliness made our stay very satisfying.

My favourite part of this stay was the experience I had when I drank tea with Aunty, her friends and the staff. They took great care of me to make sure I was ok and that I had a pleasant stay. We had great conversations using translation and got to learn a little bit more about each other’s culture. I really enjoyed learning about all the tea that let me try. They showed super hospitality. It was such a great experience for me and I would recommend to anyone travelling from the UK to visit. Thank you Aunty, friends, and staff at this hotel, it was a highlight of my visit to Pu’er!

Oh mon bonheur, je n'ai jamais été dans un endroit comme ça! Nous vivons dans une ville bruyante et nous sommes venus ici comme si nous étions au ciel. Alors calme et calme. Nos enfants aiment essayer de capturer des avions de feu la nuit. Nous avons pris une promenade à une distance de notre cabine vers les collines et nous sommes revenus quand il était assez sombre. Nous avons pu voir la galaxie de la façon laite du ciel et tant d'étoiles que le seul autre endroit que nous avons vu Tjat de nombreuses étoiles était de retour dans mon pays dans le village sans pollution lumineuse. Les mots ne peuvent décrire la tranquillité de cette place la magnificence de la nature et de la paix et assez. Les nuits sont si sombres et silencieuses, se sentent comme si elles étaient quelque part dans la sauvage. J'ai entendu des sons d'animaux que je n'avais jamais entendus avant. Nous ferons sérieusement de cet endroit notre destination de vacances fréquente pour la paix et la tranquillité, la nature et la guérison mentale. Les enfants ont été très nombreux, mais nos enfants étaient trop jeunes pour participer. L'herbe semblait si invitante et nous voulions descendre les collines hahaha, mais il était tout fermé, ce qui fait sens de la sécurité. Nous aimé aussi quand il pleuvait, le son des pluies sur les feuilles de l'extérieur et sur nos feuilles. C'est certainement un lieu pour les poètes et écrivains, les artistes et les créateurs. J'étais vraiment inspiré et je me suis surtout assis dehors quand les bébés se couchaient, et je lis mon Seigneur du livre des anneaux que j'ai pris avec moi, comme ce lieu me rappelait de terre hobbit et de magie. Les amoureux du café doivent partir, nous avons eu autant de tasses de café que nous aimions. Ils nous ont également offert un hotpot pour le dîner et le déjeuner.

Originally, i booked only 1 night, with the intention of going onwards to Laos the next day. But i stayed a 2nd night because the room was spacious and the view out of the window was so restful. About the room, I like it that there is a desk i could work from. And that the shower and WC areas are divided by a screen. For the 2nd day, my room was refreshed with used toiletries replenished and towels changed. I wish the guesthouse would implement a system where guests are able to indicate if they wish to use the same towels. I am pro-environment, so if i don't change my towels everyday at home, i don't see the need to do so when i am away. I also like the location as it was easy for me to catch Bus Route 3 to a nearby shopping area (i had KFC breakfast there), cross the road to take Bus Route 8 to Meizi Lake Park. I spent about 3 hours there, including enjoying coffee and cake in the cafe near the entrance to the park. (My biggest regard was i did not get to drink even 1 cup of Pu'er tea while in Pu'er :)) After that I back tracked on Bus Route 8 to change to Bus Route 3 to visit the Tea Horse Ancient City. Then after, I took Bus Route 3 to the shopping centre, had dinner and shopped at Walmart, before catching Bus Route 3 back to the guesthouse. There is a walking/running track just across the road from the guesthouse. Forget about going the full length of the track. Once you see a slope on the right side, walk up there. You will get a nice viewpoint and there is a nice cafe there. If the weather is right, you get to see sunrise too! I went in the morning, the cafe was closed, so did not patronise the place. Had I known about this cafe, i would have gone there on the 1st day. Perhaps the guesthouse operator could do up a map with information of easily assessible places of interest. This could result in longer stays for free and easy travellers. Pu'er is a well planned town/city. I like it and will recommend others to spend some time there. Most importantly, do stay at this guesthouse. The surrounding tea plantations will recharge you!

La chambre 301, située à proximité du centre de villégiature, est un grand chalet en bois indépendant avec des lits jumeaux, parfait pour les familles. Des articles de toilette pour enfants variés sont fournis avec attention, ainsi que des bouchons d'oreille. Les équipements de la chambre sont un peu vieillots, surtout la télévision, qui ne permet pas le streaming. La navette est très pratique pour se rendre au restaurant des zones humides, qui est magnifique. De nombreuses activités sont organisées pour les enfants, et l'observation nocturne d'insectes sous la pluie fut une expérience unique ! Les clients de l'hôtel bénéficient de réductions ! La navette est également très pratique pour se rendre à la zone panoramique ! Dans l'ensemble, l'expérience est plutôt bonne !

La maison d'hôtes Shishi est située dans le village ancien de Wengji Bulang, sur le mont Jingmai. Le village est habité par des locaux et la maison d'hôtes bénéficie d'un emplacement exceptionnel avec une vue imprenable sur la mer de nuages. Le coucher de soleil y est tout simplement magnifique. L'accueil y est chaleureux et convivial ; le soir, un thé est même préparé autour du feu. La cuisine du chef est irréprochable ; les amateurs de plats épicés seront comblés. C'est un véritable havre de paix et de tranquillité. Pendant la saison des pluies, une légère bruine tombe jour et nuit, rendant le séjour encore plus agréable. À recommander absolument !
