Hotel Kutumba

The hotel staff is very nice. The roof is good, we enjoy the World Cup evening.

A very nice place to stay. Close to public transport, and many popular tourist destinations. Excellent hospitality, welcoming, 24 hour service, safe and secure.

This is a spacious modern hotel with an excellent coffee shop and a cozy rooftop patio with spectacular views of Kathmandu. The restaurant offers excellent traditional Nepali foods and a buffet style breakfast. The rooms have plenty of space and creature comforts and are air conditioned. They also offer their own excellent views. The staff is warm and welcoming.

I chose this hotel as it was in a part of Kathmandu only 15 minutes from the airport and I was travelling back and forth to Kathmandu, so staying 3 times in all during my trip. Also because I was not keen on buffet evening meals and large impersonal establishments. I particularly like the roof terrace with views over the city where I ate each evening, and the semi-outside extension to the breakfast room, both comfortable and with good quality tasty food, but also the terrace above was a nice private place to sit and read with a drink late afternoon returning from sightseeing. As a vegetarian I had plenty of choice. Rooms were all spacious and comfortable, a nice decor and with delightful pottery goblets and mugs on the tea tray and a mini fridge with complimentary water, scrupulously clean and fresh. Everything you might need and my sleep was excellent, nice bedding and a quiet situation. 4 floors with a glass lift, and mainly business or professional travellers from what I could see. The staff are really professional and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The facility is clean. Rabina and all the staff are friendly and wanting to ensure you enjoy your stay. Breakfast is available which was great. Location is in a good area of town. Got the deluxe unit which was a bit larger. I would stay again

Had breakfast on 31/August/2023 The place is closer British School, Lalitpur We had the buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The spread included cereals, fresh fruits, cold/warm milk, eggs to order and local dishes including puri-sabji, choi daal, paratha, among others. Breads and confectionary items also were there for desserts This place is good to have the breakfast at leisure and masala tea can also be ordered. food is tasty. The cost per person in NPR 1300/- and is worth teh money. Enjoy this place.

During our recent four-day stay at the Kutumba Hotel in Lalitpur, we experienced a truly delightful experience. The Kutumba Hotel was perfect for our stay before leaving Nepal for the USA. The attention to detail that the Kutumba Hotel displayed was truly commendable. Every corner of our accommodation exuded cleanliness and comfort, from the spotless bedroom to the immaculate bathroom. Returning to such a well-maintained space at the end of each day was a pleasure. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional trea**ent we received from the staff. Throughout our stay, we were met with genuine respect and unwavering politeness. The team's dedication to ensuring our comfort did not go unnoticed, and it truly made our experience even more memorable. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the rooftop restaurant. Its breathtaking views provided an ideal setting for enjoying dinner. The delicious cuisine and enchanting a**osphere will stay with us long. Brand new boutique hotel in Lalitpur with a great rooftop view, clean room, delicious food; a hotel designed with love and creative design, a meeting room also available. Fully recommended when you are visiting Kathamandu Nepal. They valued your smile :-)

Nepal is a lovely country, but I would strongly recommend you avoid this hotel. Imagine showing up in the middle of the night after a long flight to find that the room you booked and paid for weeks ago was given to someone else. This is what happened to me. I had booked and paid for an executive suite, however I was given a completely different room about half the size. It later turned out the hotel had allowed the previous guests in the room to extend their stay, even though I had a confirmed booking for that same room! Not only was the hotel dishonest about this (no one mentioned at check in that I was being downgraded), but the hotel also kept breaking its promises of when this would be rectified. It took 1.5 days before I was finally given the room that I had paid for. The hotel did not seem to think any of this was a big deal. It appeared they considered me a nuisance for making an issue out of this. The icing on the cake was that upon check-out they tried to make me pay for a "coffee stain" on a towel that I had supposedly used days earlier. I was shown a towel with a vague stain. I don't know if this was a towel that had been used by me, however I did not consume any coffee in my room and always use hotel property with respect. Maybe this last minute attempt to force payment for this "damage" was out of pettyness. Perhaps the hotel was annoyed by my repeated requests to rectify their error? Either way, it left a very sour taste in my mouth and I would advise you to avoid Hotel Kutumba.
