Fyffe Country Lodge

Fyffe country lodge is a quaint, charming country house with impeccable style and comfort. The rooms were beautifully furnished and classy. Beds were comfy and the shower powerful and hot but what really made our stay extra special were our hosts Chris and Colin who were exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind to us. The breakfasts were sumptuous and delicious and we would highly recommend staying there.

My wife and I stayed two nights at The Lodge. What a great place and wonderful hosts. Chris and Colin are some of the nicest, warmest and loving people we have met travelling around the world for more than 40 years. The Lodge has 6 rooms and upstairs there is a beautiful very large room, that would be any president worthy. If you are looking for a great place to be spoiled, then Fyffe Country Lodge is what you are looking for. Best wishes from Marianne & Jørn from Denmark.

We very much enjoyed the stay at Chris and Colin. The a**osphere was very heartfelt and we had good talks with our hosts. The garden is a real masterpiece and the room we stayed was very cosy. Once we enjoyed a really wonderful salmon in the evening. Thank you very much for everything. We will always keep you in very good memory.

We had a fabulous three night stay at the Fyffe Country Lodge. Our room was very comfortable and overlooked the fields and deer next door. Chris and Colin were great hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed.

This lodge is beautiful, and the couple who run it are adorable and want you to have an amazing stay. We arrived late and they put together a cheese plate for us to have, which we enjoyed with a bottle of wine in the garden. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was a treat of freshly made food. The couple who own this have been through a devastating earthquake, and then covid closures, yet remain upbeat , positive, and delightful!

Everything about this place is wonderful. We felt very welcome from the minute we arrived, more like staying with friends than in a hotel. Nothing is too much trouble, we asked if they had spinach and Chris popped out to the garden and came back with a handful to go in an omelette. Food is absolutely fantastic from breakfast to the evening meal we had one night. Rooms are large and very comfortable. I would say you need a car when staying here as is a little way out of town but apart from that everything was perfect.

We stayed here for 3 nights in late February and found the accommodations, setting and care and attention of our hosts to be first rate. The place is immaculate with a beautiful garden overlooking the mountains. The location, a short drive into Kaikura, made it a convenient to restaurants and activities in town while outside in country setting. The owners, Chris and Colin couldn’t be friendlier and service oriented. Food first rate.

A great place in the old Lodge manner of hospitality. Great rambling room overlooking wonderful gardens, comfortable bed. Chris and her partner (oh drat, I have forgotten his name) are terrific hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed. We also booked dinner there, and he made a great meal. Drinks with them and another guest before and after dinner… very warm and comfortable. Breakfast was equally good and friendly. A good stop.

If you want a magical experience in a luxurious country a**osphere, look no further than Fyffe Country Lodge, one of the best boutique properties in New Zealand. The grounds are beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Our room was lovely and extremely well-appointed. Breakfasts and dinners were exceptional and truly a delight to look forward to. Finally, Chris and Colin are passionate about taking care of their guests. So...if you're searching for fresh seaside air, beautiful scenery, superb accommodations, a get-away-from-it-all vibe, and superior customer service...then you must experience the elegant Fyffe Country Lodge!!!
