The hotel is overall good, Catia and Philip at the reception were exceptional, restaurant services are good just don't put your expectations high on the menu, the spa was pleasant. Overall a good hotel that I will definitely visit again

Cama confortável, casa de banho excelente, blackout muito bom, roupão disponível, tv podia ser maior. Spa muito bom especialmente a piscina. A chefe de recepção foi de uma simpatia inexcedível. Até breve!

Dear Duecitania owners, Your hotel is magnificent and I LOVE it. The architecture, the details, the workmanship are superb. Your natural pool and surroundings are stunning, and, very importantly, your staff are lovely, nice, helpful. Ah yeah, also the spa! Unfortunately, you need to look for another chef and another maintenance manager. Why change them? Because food and hospitality require love: love of taste, love of detail, love of choice, love of attention to detail. Because maintenance needs love for things that work, are clean, have square angles where required. And the love is lacking in the food and in the maintenance. 1. We arrive in our room on the 3rd floor; the wifi is abysmal, the fridge does not work, the water pressure is miserable, and the towel racks need to be tightened and squared up. And in the spa, the barrier to walk down into the jacuzzi must be put back in, the sauna and the vienne shower are still not working since last time we came. Also, can men with long feet have appropriate slippers? Your maintenance manager (if you have one) does not walk around looking at what works and does not work. And does not teach your staff to do the same and tell him or her “hey the towel rack in room 314 needs tightening “. There is no love. 2. For a place like the Duecitania, the menu is really poor. And the quality of the food average. The cheeses/sausages in the mixed platter do not honour the richness available in Portugal, the chicken in the (very small) Cesar salad is sad and dry. The bread of the hamburgers equals in quality what is found at McDo. When we arrive at breakfast, there is no brown bread. Yes, it comes just later. But why do we have to wait? Same with the bacon.. arrives later. And why have to ask the staff to cut the grapes bunches into manageable sizes? Here as well, the chef does not care and does not teach the staff how a well managed restaurant runs. No love. So, please, get your act together. It is not difficult, if you have the love.

Great hotel, nice surroundings. Well converted from an old watermill. Let down by a buffet dinner on a Friday night. Eaten their a la carte on previous occasions and fantastic. This more like school dinner. Ask if it is a buffet and if they say yes, avoid that day.

when i booked i was not sure what to expect and relied on people comments and post, i was very please with my choice. The hotel was very clean, the location was very good, quiet and peaceful surrounding the pool was of good size and nice, the car park is perfect and the wifi very good and fast. the food was good and the bar area friendly it is good value for money

The facilities were great - I've booked this hotel specially due to the fact that it had an interior and exterior pool, which exceeded my expectations. Also, there was sauna and steam room available without extra costs. The room was very cozy and well cleaned. I will come back for sure! Having big wide windows is awesome to have natural light, however, the curtains aren't able to cover all the light during the early morning, being a less positive point.

Adoro este hotel. Os quartos muito agradáveis, o ambiente que circunda o edificio bastante aprazivel. A piscina, sauna e banho turco bons. O jacuzzi não funcionou. Um aspeto menos positivo no terceiro andar não há rede móvel, desagradável para quem necessite de trabalhar. Apesar das diversas tentativas para resolver a situação, tal não aconteceu. Na receção funcionárias muito simpáticas e prestáveis. Pequeno almoço excelente.

Infelizmente a experiência não foi de todo positiva. Não tive conhecimento prévio de que seria necessária marcação para usufruir do SPA e piscina interior e acabei por me encontrar num local isolado com 3h de espera para usufruir de 1h destes serviços. Se tivesse essa informação antecipadamente seguramente não reservava o hotel nem faria 300km+ para passar o tempo num quarto de hotel. Depois desta situação muito desagradável acabei por entrar numa piscina com uma sensação térmica bem abaixo daquilo que alegavam (30 graus). A água estava fria e o steam room sem qualquer vapor, mais parecia uma sala temperada. Enfim, deu a entender que para diminuir os custos com consumos energéticos decidiram diminuir a temperatura dos serviços. De positivo o pessoal e atendimento mas nada mais.

Na nossa - eu e a minha mulher - curta estadia neste hotel, pudemos confirmar o que de bom tínhamos lido nos comentários aqui escritos. Desde logo a simpatia do "staff" até ao conforto geral, passando pelo ambiente calmo e sossegado do local, como "pano de fundo" a quem procura um local para descansar e relaxar. Pena que a circuito SPA (incluído na estadia) não estivesse mais apetecível, pois não só a água da piscina como a sauna estavam com uma temperatura um tanto abaixo do desejável. Uma situação a rever, tal como a altura da banheira do quarto, demasiado alta para pessoas com idade já avançada. De resto, também um reparo para o quarto que, embora confortável e amplo, "peca" (na nossa opinião, claro!!) por ser demasiado escuro (chão e paredes) bem como os candeeiros de mesinha de cabeceira bastante afastados da parede e, por isso, à mercê de algumas "cabeçadas" para os mais distraídos... como eu!!! A limpeza e higiene são evidentes em todo o edifício e a indicação dos quartos, à saída do elevador e/ou das escadas, na alcatifa revela uma certa criatividade. Jantar muito bom e muito bem servido, sempre com um toque de elevado profissionalismo. O mesmo aplica-se, aliás, ao pequeno almoço. Para terminar, gostamos da zona de lazer que, pela sua natural envolvência, talvez merecesse uma mais cuidada manutenção.
