We were planning to stay at Valcour Inn, getting there by 50 mile bicycle ride. One mile away from the inn we found that the bridge we needed to cross to get there was closed. Called the Inn from there, left a voice mail asking what we should do given the circumstances and have not heard a word back from them several days later. I did get an email asking how our stay was, so this is our response. Lucky for us there was a motel (Shamrock Inn) just a mile back with a lovely owner who helped us out with a room at a discount. It sure would have been nice to hear from the inn at all. As far as they know we are still sitting at the bridge trying to figure how to get across!

Valcour Suite, room # 4, is very spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom, white and fluffy towels, a perfect-firmness bed, perfect height pillows and fine sheets. Its curtains are tastefully selected. They provide fresh muffins, fruits, assortment of yogurt, mango juice, bottled water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate with real cutlery and saucers. Mr. Mahmoud Moussa gave us another heater and more towels😊! The water view is definitely scenic. Its grounds is expansive and green.

We booked and stayed in the Cottage. It was so spacious and charming. Our children loved running around the cottage as well as exploring the multiple rooms. If you're looking for a quiet retreat this is the place. If you're expecting a bustling lakefront resort this is not it. We enjoyed a night in a relaxing, quintessential lakefront cottage in Northern NY after visiting Ausable Chasm. We loved our stay, hope to return. Wifi was fast, full kitchen, laundry, dining room and living room. The stairs are steep to the second floor leading to the two bedrooms but the website was clear on the historic and handicapped limitation of the property. The only thing our children would have liked was a basketball for the hoop outside of the cottage. I honestly think that was the only complaint of our trip. Thank you Taylor and staff of Valcour Inn and Boathouse with working with us in our last minute booking and ease of self Check-in.

This is a very beautiful Inn on Lake Champlain. The rooms are newly renovated, elegant, and comfortable. The big deck is an amazing place to watch the water and relax with family. The boathouse and rock beach is special too. We loved staying here!

Wonderful place to stay. Inn was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Beautiful viewpoint from second floor balcony of the lake. Grounds are incredible. Boathouse has a dock and this inn could have easy water access for a boater.

Spent 3 nights over the July 4th weekend and enjoyed every minute! Taylor, the manager was great and had every detail covered. The grounds are beautiful, the accommodations were clean and very comfortable. Looking forward to going back!

The hotel and room were both lovely! The room was spotless, the bed, bedding and pillows were super comfortable and luxurious. I loved the bath soap and shampoo and conditioner bars from a local shop. It was also really quiet on the lake. Everything we needed was provided, including water, juices, coffee. There were yogurt, pastries and bagels for breakfast (including peanut butter, cream cheese or butter for toppings). It was perfect for a stop before we flew home from Plattsburgh after a weekend in Montreal. It would also be perfect for an event or family reunion. I would highly recommend!!

Do not stay at this hotel. I don't usually write reviews but in this case, our stay was very poor. The Internet did not work for the entire stay. Wi-Fi is important here because it is far away from any other service, including Cell. The television also did not work, it would turn on but would not receive any signal. The toilet overflowed, and they came to fix it, but were never able to fix Internet or TV. We tried to resolve this with the management and were led on for over a month , being told we would be refunded 1 night. After a month of many phone calls we were told there would be no adjustment. They offered a free night at the hotel if we want to go back there, what?! Why would i go back there to get the same poor service. Do not stay at this hotel. The customer service is nonexistent.

There was no staff available on our arrival. Had trouble getting an internet connection. Help arrived and we got a connection, but it continued to be intermittent. Small room - only choice to watch TV was in bed with a 4-poster bedpost obstructing the screen. No dining within a reasonable distance for us as we were travelling by bikes on a 5-day trip around Lake Champlain. DoorDash was our only option. Breakfast was help yourself to granola bars, yogurt, etc - no "fresh muffins" to be found when we ate at 8:00AM. The building is dated and in need of multiple repairs. Our shower door was missing a latch.
