Blue Dome Hotel

L'emplacement est très bon, tout ce dont vous avez besoin est juste derrière le coin. Bel espace piscine et belle vue mer reposante. Le personnel est très sympathique, le service est plus personnalisé par rapport aux grands hôtels. Le petit déjeuner était limité mais copieux. C'était la première fois que nous expérimentions un petit-déjeuner à la carte, nous préférons encore un peu plus le buffet. En arrivant à l'hôtel, nous avons découvert que les toilettes ne fonctionnaient pas du tout. Parce que nous sommes arrivés si tard dans la soirée, il n'y avait personne à la réception et nous avons été obligés d'attendre la réparation jusqu'au lendemain matin. La réception était censée être ouverte de 10h à 18h mais souvent il n'y avait quelqu'un que quelques heures le matin ou l'après-midi, du moins maintenant en octobre. Nous avons été déçus de notre chambre ; c'était plus petit que ce à quoi nous nous attendions, le coin cuisine est très compact, nous pouvions à peine ouvrir la porte du réfrigérateur. Le lit était inconfortable et les matelas étaient trop durs. De plus, les oreillers étaient médiocres, nous ne pouvions pas du tout dormir avec eux. Les toilettes étaient également trop petites et la hauteur de la pomme de douche ne peut pas être modifiée, elle est donc trop haute pour une personne plus petite. De notre point de vue, les chambres auraient besoin d'être rénovées.

Been here twice! Great location, near the Platanias centre and yet secluded by the seashore. Private beach, pool of good size. Great service attitude of all personnel, good restaurant and pool bar. Want to mention one employee, Catalin, who was superfriendly, helped with beyond call of duty and worked so hard to make us feel welcome. Will be back!

Have been to the Blue Dome several times, most recently this summer. We have mostly been satisfied every time, but last summer it was almost impossible to get hot water! There was no hot water for washing up or showering. This ruined a lot of the stay for us. When we raised the issue with those at reception, we only got the answer that we had to let the water run for a long time, then we would get hot water. So we had to let the water run for 5-10 minutes! Sometimes a little hot water came on, but mostly this didn't help. We can't remember experiencing this before at Blue Dome. This experience means we will consider another hotel next time. When we pay so much to live there, we naturally expect hot water.

The hotel is perfect for me, the one bedroom apar**ents are large and we had balconies that caught the sun in the morning and afternoon. If I had to complain it'd be that everything is done down to a price such as no room service, no staff after early evening and no tea or coffee as most decent hotels provide now. I was left at the airport without pick up but that was perhaps my fault for not twigging that I had to actually book it. 50 Euro each way. The beach isn't golden sand but partly very sharp pebbles and very soft sand when wet, many struggled to get to the water and I'd say that beach shoes are essential. The staff were very efficient and well mannered, the location for shopping and eating is very good so very good all in all.

Excellent hotel right on the beach. From the moment we arrived, made to feel very welcome. Staff were very friendly and very professional ranging from room maid, Reception and especially the restaurant team. Breakfast was more than adequate and had choice of set menu or 2 separate Dishes as part of the price. The restaurant itself had a great sea view. The hotel is down a small lane off the main road so very quiet and secluded. Thank you to all the team for making our stay very relaxing.

This place needs to improve. The rooms are very dated and tired. The staff are not all good, but try. The bath towels are completely exhausted, thin and dreadful. There is an all pervading a**osphere of penny pinching which is so disappointing, it could be so much better.

Great stay for a week holiday in Platanias. Breakfast was ala carte ordered from meny everyday, with big verity for the hole family. Attentive staff all over from front desk to cleaners. Front desk is very helpful ig renting car etc. Just making your stay top 🙏 Great pool with sunbeds and umbrella. 10m and your at the beach. Pool towels can be collected at reception 😊 100m from main street with big verity with shops and resurant.

What a find! My family and I loved The Blue Dome. Everything was perfect. The staff are AMAZING Breakfast was superb. The pools, the views, the apar**ents, the balcony. The access to Platanias or the quietness and calmness of The Blue Dome. We even had a medical emergency on holiday and the staff helped us so much we were touched by how they went out their way to help us.

This was our third time in Crete in Blue Dome Hotel!!! We were there with our 3 children and the grandparents. I can confirm that all the three generations of our family had a great time here again. Each member of the staff and Claudia - who is the hart and the owner of BDH - did their best to give us a memorable holiday again. Rooms are clean, the kitchen is very good and the sea is really next to us. This hotel really looks like the same in reality as on the mervellous pictures!
