Upon checking in around 320pm got a last corner room on the 19th floor (requested for a room in the middle corridor 2 days b4 stay). The door latch was faulty, can’t opened the door inside from the room. Called front desk they said will send someone to take a look ( I actually requested to changed room but was rejected)
While waiting for the technician, tried boiling hot water, power tripped! Called front desk again and was told to go to the lobby and get another key to change to another room. No one actually know what happened at the front desk so have to repeat my story… Waited for quite a while and finally a female staff attended to me and mentioned that she will check through the new allocated room b4 handling the room keys to me.
Returned after a drink and again have to repeat my story once again (seems like they dun communicate) waited for the female staff for quite a long while and finally got my room key around 430pm.
The new room was fine after checking in. My stay will be more pleasant if the staff could rectify the problems soonest possible.

Sustainable drinking water supply to substitute bottled water.
Breakfast varieties can be more diversified.

Hotel room is big and spacious. Breakfast spread is decent enough, but u have to avoid the high traffic peak timing. I went for breakfast ard 8plus and alot of food are empty.

Fantastic location, as it located within the mall. Cleanliness could be better improved. Basic amenities, tv channels are sad. Breakfast was so so. But if you are looking for a hotel at a convenient location, the rest don’t really matter as much.

2nd time staying at St Giles king urban room. Happy to see a beautiful sunrise again and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Staying here means you don’t have to go anywhere as there are so many things to explore at mid valley southkey mall.

The buffet breakfast had a good variety of food, as well as cereal and porridge for the children. The room was spacious and clean. I stayed at the 13th floor and had a nice window view.

Hotel's location is part of Midvalley Southkey where you can shop, eat, massage, catch a movie etc. The hotel is starting to look jaded. The room aircon is really ineffective. Altho set to its lowest you can hardly feel the cold. The buffet has an extensive spread. However, it looks messy and the cut pineapple was not fresh. The hotel swimming pool closes at 7pm which is way too early. You cant swim after the sun is down.
All said, if you want to stick around Midvalley all the time then this hotel is a no brainer. Else, you may consider others.
