Casa da Galeria - Azores Art of Hosting

Nous avons passé une semaine à la Casa da Galeria et nous sommes très impressionnés. L'endroit a tout, absolument tout ! Tous les membres du personnel sont tout simplement géniaux. Chacun d'entre eux est généreux de son temps et de ses conseils. Ils sont juste superbes. Nous avions quelques questions avant notre arrivée et nos e-mails ont reçu une réponse très rapide et détaillée. Cela montre qu'ils se soucient de leurs clients. Notre appartement est spacieux, propre et dispose de tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Je recommande sans aucune réserve. De plus, nous nous sommes bien amusés avec Host, le chat ! Si jamais je reviens aux Açores, c'est l'endroit où je resterai.

I stayed three nights at this amazing hotel, probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in! It looks exactly like the pictures and was in a great location. The room was extremely well-equipped, with pretty much anything and everything you could want or need. The staff was super friendly and helpful, even offering to book me an early morning taxi to the airport before I could even ask. Breakfasts were delicious and delivered to your room, and for my early departure it was delivered the night before! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

We had an exceptional stay at Casa da Galeria. The staff were a real delight and very welcoming, the service of a palace, no less! We read that the breakfast was excellent and had high expectations that were not only met but exceded. Now let's talk about the architecture and the art, everything in every nook and corners were of such good taste, everything was pleasing to look at. If you hesitate, don't! Treat yourself and stay at Casa da Galeria, you won't be disappointed! Muito obrigado!

Loved this place! Welcoming, helpful staff; large, comfortable, and spotless rooms. Rooms include quality kitchen appliances, tableware, & cookware. The breakfast is ample, with many local products. The bed is excellent too. Plus, the hotel has a small pool, sauna, stem room, and cardio-equipment. In fact, this place is so perfect I hesitate to recommend it, on the chance it becomes perpetually booked. … Only one thing some people may find off putting is nearby traffic noise (despite the hotels double (triple?) glazed windows. It isn’t constant & and is the norm in Ponta Delgada’s center.

Exactly what we're expecting, and amazingly friendly and helpful people to boot. Very central location walkable to everything. Spacious and well appointed apartment. Totally recommend for a B&B apartment rental

We had a wonderful experience and a great stay at the Casa. The staff (special thanks to Nuno and Nicole) were all very kind, helpful, and accommodating and answered all of my questions (which was no minor accomplishment as I had a ton over the year prior to our stay). We coordinated a rental car through the Casa and the process was convenient and easy. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for two nights at the start of and at the end of a two week vacation. One room faced the street and was very spacious and the other room faced the courtyard with access to the interior patio. Both rooms were great, quiet, had all the needed amenities, where spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, such a treat to start the day. The hotel is in a nice area within walking distance of everything. Hope we get a chance to visit again!

I booked this hotel almost a year in advance within a month of its opening, and yet Casa Do Galería still managed to impress. It’s listed as 3 stars according to some travel ratings, but that is inaccurate. In my opinion, it is 4 stars all the way. Depending on what you’re looking for, this hotel is a steal! Often we will book an Airbnb so we have access to a kitchen. Here you have a full kitchen plus daily cleaning service and a delicious breakfast delivered to your room. The location is exceptional—walking distance to everything in Ponta Delgada, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Marlene and Nunu were particular standouts. Literally the only amenity we look for at an Airbnb that Casa Do Galería didn’t have was a washing machine and dryer, but the front desk directed us to a clean and inexpensive facility less than two blocks away that was perfect. Book now. I promise if there is availability at the time you are reading this review, it won’t be there for long. (For anyone who loves cats as I do, and added bonus is the beautiful and outgoing resident cat named Host who perfectly lives up to his name.)

This is a small boutique hotel in the center of Ponta Delgada, just a few blocks (7 min walking) from the waterfront promenade. It has 3 levels with total of 9 units. Everything inside is brand new and modern (opened last year after complete rebuilt/renovation), carefully designed to maximize the convenience. Very clean (medical grade). We stayed on the top level (there was an elevator), in what they call an apartment, and I'd call 1 bedroom. It had large leaving area with a table/chairs, sofa bed, tv, storage cabinets and a decent size kitchen with high quality essentials (lots of them). Then there was a bedroom with a king size bed, high quality linens and pillows. The bathroom with a modern shower had access from the bedroom, as well as from the living. AC/temp control all electronic, for each room separate, worked silently. Our room faced the backyard, and there was no noise. We did not hear any other guests either. On the top floor, there was a small open air pool, gym, sauna, steam room, and shower - we did not really use them, but inspected :) - looked very inviting! They had a 3-car garage (with electric chargers), a spot must be reserved when booking (which we did), no extra charge. Some skills are required to get the car in/out (narrow street, but not a high traffic street), but not too bad even for an average driver). This is a great convenience since you might want to have a car to explore the island. Electronic lock on the front door, on the garage door, room door. All you need is your phone (or you enter a code manually). An equally great thing about Casa da Galeria is the service. They literally go above and beyond to make your stay worry free, starting with the booking process (if you decide first to get in touch), reserving a car for you, suggestions, reservations, transportation, etc. Every one on the front desk was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. (Special thanks to Nicole and Jose). You can pick a time for the breakfast to be delivered to your room, adjust certain things included, all online. The breakfast is all fresh, and quite sufficient to start your day. And it will be delivered within minutes of the requested time! Cleaning service daily! They reserved a car for us from Go Rent-a-Car, with the delivery and pickup to/from the hotels garage, and it worked out great for us! Restaurant recommendations: ask the front desk, they know places! Now, some of the great places you wont be able to walk in, so a reservation is a must, and again - ask the front desk, they will help. The hotel provides a transportation from/to the airport at a price just slightly above the taxi fare; we found it very convenient when checking out. Btw, their checkout is very generous (noon), and we even got a late checkout since our room was not booked that day. Summary: a gem in the center of Ponta Delgada, perfectly run, with great attention to service. I predict it will be hard to get a booking there soon.

Excellent stay for our family of four! The central location, the staff, the comfort of the apartments, the decoration of all the spaces and the godly breakfast. Despite winter, we still enjoyed some sun by the pool on the top floor. All thought out in detail.
