Rochavau Hotel

Newly rebuilt Rochavau hotel is as you would expect for a hotel that’s only been re opened for a few months, absolutely spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I stayed in the original Rochavau in the early 1980’s and returning to this beautiful location 40 years later was certainly not a disappointing experience. This in my opinion is one of the most stunningly natural parts of the Algarve and the local Vau beach restaurants and bars are excellent and still inexpensive. Staff at the hotel couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. During our stay the hotel was very sp****ly occupied and as a result very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast is a little bit limited in terms of choice but the food was good quality and personally I have no complaints. The pool area does lack a bar which I understand they need a licence for and this would be a good addition but the restaurant staff will bring drinks out to the pool or outside seating areas. We had a wonderful week in one of the Algarve's most beautiful spots and we will definitely be back in 2024. Thanks to all the lovely staff at the Rochavau. Richard and Bianca.

We had an amazing stay here! Great modern hotel in fantastic location, extremely close to restaurants and the beach. Staff were excellent! Special mention to the chef for the breakfast, he was fantastic! Would definitely recommend this stay! 10/10

We flew over from the USA for the MotoGP race in Algarve and this the was the perfect Hotel. The Hotel is new renovated so everything is new and beautiful. The Hotel is in a great location, just a minutes walk to the Ocean front. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were both extremely friendly and helpful, providing absolutely terrific recommendations for places to eat dinner after coming back from the race track. When I say the staff was amazing and friendly, I mean ALL of the staff, the Manager, the House Keeping staff, the Chef's working the breakfast area where we fueled up on delicious coffee and food. Anything you needed they did they're best to accommodate us and 100% of our stay they succeeded. Special mention to management for going out of their way to extend our stay during such a busy event weekend. Special mention to the evening front desk gentlemen for all of the amazing restaurant recommendations. As for the rooms, everything is super new, great TV, great bathroom, great bed, and a very lovely balcony to watch the sun set.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Rooms are very spacious and clean..everything you need in the room.From the moment we arrived we were made feel so welcome. The staff very friendly, the location is superb, restaurants in walking distance. Great breakfast Straddling the cliffs between Portimao and Alvor really suited us as we love walking and were able to enjoy the cliffs and beaches. Highly recommend this hotel

Fabulous hotel! perfect location ! Will definitely stay again.. rooms were very clean and breakfast very tasty. Staff very friendly. A visit to Alvor and Carvoeiro is well worth the drive. Urban Grill is a 5 minute walk from the hotel food very tasty and also Green heart @ Clogue…views and food outstanding!!

The hotel was gorgeous, modern & very clean. The staff was amazing, every single one of them was helpful. Joe took great pictures of me 🫶🏾. The breakfast was very filling & everything was fresh. I 100000% recommend. If you’re going because of Afro Nation, it’s only a 20 minute walk to the beach, Praia Da Rocha so it’s extremely convenient.

This hotel is fantastic! Me and my partner had a very relaxing stay here at the start of October. The hotel is exceptionally clean in all areas. The maids attended to our room every day, changing the bedding and leaving fresh drinking water. The hotel is new, so the rooms are decorated stylishly, giving it a luxury feel. The breakfast was great, serving a variety each morning. The location of the hotel is perfect. Not too far from the bars and restaurants and also a two minute walk to the beautiful Praia da Rocha beach. The only small issue I could find was the lack of sunbeds. This didn’t affect our stay as we visited out of season, but I could see how this could be become a problem in summer. I’d also recommend going down for breakfast before 9am as one morning we had to queue up and wait for a table to become available. This was around a 10 minute wait.

One of the best! Everything about this hotel from location, cleanliness, breakfast and staff was exceptional. I was so looking forward to returning to the hotel after a day of sunning and sightseeing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice break.
