Armazem Luxury Housing- Architectural & Design Hotel

Stayed here with my family (all adults) in August 2023 for a long weekend to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. Everything about the hotel was exceptional, from the warm welcome (with early check in) and detailed orientation of the city to a fantastic daily breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a love of design, looking for a ‘home away from home’ in Porto. Fantastic location as well! Thank you for a gorgeous stay!

We stayed in the Hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location is very central but the hotel was very quiet. The rooms were absolutely nice, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was amazing - a lot of small details. Great Hotel for a stay!

This review is of the apartments, we stayed in the largest one at the top. We had a friendly and helpful reception but it went downhill from there. The apartment is not very private (the 2 bedrooms are separate but not with actual walls) and is quite dark. It is not appropriate for families with young children or those who have trouble with stairs. Inside there are several levels and it is a 4-story (5 for Americans) walk-up. It is located up the pedistrian street from the hotel so you have to walk back for breakfast (which is quite good with friendly service). The biggest problem was maintenance...our shower flooded on our last morning and since we had no time to wait for a plumber my husband looked at the drain which had obviously not been cleaned in a good while so he had to it himself to avoid even more flooding! Then, we went to put our luggage in the "luggage only" elevator and it stopped working. They did come to fix but couldn't so we had to carry everything down. Although it is in a pedestrian only street there is a parking garage not too far away. As for location, it is very centrally located for what most want to do. It also seemed a bit crass to have to pay for coffee pods! This place needs some revamping service-wise.

The hotel has a very good aesthetic that made me and my partner very comfortable. The breakfast service is very well organized and the food is excellent. The furniture is very well introduced into the space and makes anyone fall in love with what they see. All the people who welcomed us at the hotel were very friendly and gave us the best possible experience. I recommend it 100% and I will definitely repeat the stay again.

We paid over 280EUR per night hoping to get a quality service during our honeymoon and it was the worst mistake in our entire trip. This is one of those hotels that charges a lot because it has an excellent location. But location isn’t everything. Let me explain everything. Check-in: when we arrived, they said we made a reservation on ******* using AMEX and they didn’t accept it, so I needed to get cash of a visa credit card. I guess not accepting AMEX is ok, but they could have either mention this in the ******* page or written a message to us in advance to let us know. Gladly, my wife had a corporate VISA (now she will have to explain her boss, but I guess its not the end of the world). In general, the woman was super rude because we arrived one our earlier. It isn’t our fault that our flight schedule wasn’t convenient for her and we didn’t demand for an early check in. When she said she didn’t have the room the ready, all I asked for was a restroom to wash my face and a charger in some public area. She wasn’t pleased. The room isn’t what it looks like in the pictures. Pictures are super misleading. The light in the room is poor, you can’t easily raise the curtains, and there is a lot of noise (even in the third floor). Something shocking: when you pay almost 300 EUR per night, it is at least customary in the hotel industry to leave a free bottle of water per night. They don’t. What is worse, there is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, and they only give you the first pod for free (which wasn’t even nespresso, but a copy), and then they charge it. They told me that was “the welcome drink”. Breakfast was the only good thing. The guy working at the hotel when the woman isn’t there was also nicer. But seriously, for 300 EUR a night, go to a larger chain or get an AIRBNB. We stayed at hotels within this budget in 4 different cities for our honeymoon. This was clearly the mistake in what otherwise could have been a perfect honeymoon.

Lindíssimo hotel, com uma decoração de excelência e muito acolhedor. Quartos muito bonitos e muito românticos. Os pequenos almoços são muito familiares e todo ele preparado na hora. Fomos muito bem recebidos , Funcionários muito simpáticos e prestáveis. Voltarei com toda a certeza.

O destaque vai para o atendimento - toda a equipa nos mimou do 1º ao último dia e foram realmente muito prestáveis. A decoração foi pensada ao promenor e o resultado é um espaço deslumbrante! O pequeno almoço também é muito bom e completo! Os ovos e bebidas quentes são preparados no momento e existem opções sem glúten. Altamente recomendável!

Vim com a minha namorada visitar o hotel. É extremamente limpo, o design interior é maravilhoso. O pequeno-almoço é saboroso. Os empregados são educados e acolhedores e o preço/qualidade é acessível! Certamente irei voltar
