Spacious rooms, clean and well equipped family room. Sumptuous breakfast. Reception is sp****ly occupied and sometimes you need to wait. Parking garage right opposite to the hotel. Please make sure you reserve a parking place if traveling in peak times.

We arrived at the 4-star hotel DORMERO, Prora, Rügen, Germany on Monday 10 July 2023 and we had been looking forward to a holiday in a nice suite in a nice hotel that we had booked for 6 nights. There was nothing wrong with the suite, but after many hours of driving from Denmark, we needed a shower. Unfortunately, that was not an option, because there were no towels! Not a very good start, but of course we could pick up some at the reception. The reception was not staffed, but we did find an employee who could inform us that the hotel unfortunately had NO MORE TOWELS??? So, we could not get a shower after checking in at our 4-star hotel! The hotel is not at all geared for longer stays due to: 1. A lack of towels. This was a problem all week. 2. A lack of toilet paper. 3. A lack of cleaning. No cleaning was done at all during the entire period we stayed there: 6 days. 4. Food waste etc. was not removed the whole week, so we had to bring the waste to the reception ourselves when the smell got too bad in the room. The hotel had also run out of plastic bags that fit in the waste bin, so we got bags that were too small for the bin. 5. A lack of a permanent receptionist (there was only a sporadic employee at the reception who was not customer friendly at all. STEP BY STEP was his slogan, so the guests had to arm themselves with patience. 6. In general, there was a lack of staff at the hotel. As is clear from the above, our stay at the hotel did absolutely not contribute to giving us a good holiday. We expected to be treated with dignity and not with indifference and disrespect. The hotel's poor service and atmosphere had a negative effect on our holiday mood, so we cannont recommend DORMERO.

Only stayed for a night but wish we could of stayed for more. A fantastic hotel, room was very very clean, the hotel staff were amazing and this all added to a great experience, the indoor swimming pool obviously helped as well as the sea view from the balcony. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotell has rooms that should fit everyone from singel to family groups. Around the hotel you will find several activities. The long beach is nice and clean. History about the buildings. I will recommend everyone tho read about the history of Prora. The hotel brand has a statement. #Stay fancy. It is far from fancy ! So do not expect to much. Rooms Hotell gives you a functional space and it is easy to get around. An important note. Check and document your booking from what you see on the webpage. I'm pretty sure we booked a apartment with balcony on the roof. That was the picture and explanation on the homepage for Dormero. A helpfull person at the hotel tried to solve the problem and showed us optional rooms. We ended up with the one they first set us up with. Be warned it can happen to other also. So check it out when you order and get the room. Gym / Swimmingpool Swimmingpool is inside. Gym is standard, could be a bit hot. Getting here. It's easy signs on the street. However the buildings are so identic copies so you can be fooled to stop at the fancy hotel next to it. Coming in an EV. Not many chargers around here. There is a Tesla destination charger next door. Make sure you understand where to charge and how to charge your EV. Parking. parking house. Only about 50 reserved for hotel guests. So you could end up looking for parking space. Parking is at your ovn risk and with no security. Health If you are sensitive for smoking and dogs. This is not the place to go. It is far behind all that is high tech fancy and healthy. A lot of smell from cigarette and cigars. Dogs are doing their thing everywhere so check where you put down your feet. The smell from pee is all over the place. around the hotell. Places to eat. You will find some restaurant around and small coffee shops. Bar At the hotel there is a bar with biljard and a football game. I have not observed any people serving this bar. Looks empty,

Great location, on/near the beach, with lots of activities (bring your bike and sports gear). Our ground floor family apartment was modern, spacious and functional. But the rate we paid was equivalent to something more comfortable: we had to collect toilet roles at reception, doors/windows did not function very well, towels were a bit in short demand and the shower drain was very slow to clear (fearing overflow). Most annoying was our own decision to book the wellness or spa package which turned out to be a sauna and a shower.

Das Dormero-Hotel-Rügen befindet sich im historischen KdF-Bau am Strandabschnitt Süd in Prora. Man kann bequem mit dem Zug anreisen. Der Bahnhof Prora-Ost ist wenige Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Das Apartment-Hotel ist eine Mischung aus Ferienwohnung und Hotel. Es überrascht durch seine großzügige Raumgestaltung - dies gilt sowohl für die öffentlichen Bereiche im Hotel (Flure, Fitnesscenter, Schwimmbad, Sauna und Ruheraum) als auch für die einzelnen Zimmer. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr gepflegt und neuwertig und eignen sich optimal zur Selbstversorgung. Ich war nun schon drei mal für kürzer Aufenthalte in unterschiedlichen Zimmertypen zu Gast - es hat mir immer sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer zur Meerseite sind überwiegend mit Balkon und viel Morgensonne und Meeresrauschen. Aber auch die Zimmer zur Rückseite haben ihre Vorzüge - noch mehr Stille und viel Abendsonne. Überhaupt fühlte ich mich in diesem Hotel immer sehr wohl und ungestört - so kann man sich richtig erholen. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Beim einchecken wird sich viel Zeit für einen genommen - manchmal wird man auch persönlich zum Zimmer gebracht - überhaupt steht einem das sympathische Hotelpersonal für Fragen und Wünsche gerne zur Verfügung. Ich komme immer wieder gerne.

Wenn man bedenkt dass es eine Apartmentanlage ist, dann ist das Hotel wirklich ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer sind riesig und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist perfekt. Es einfach ideal für junge Familien. Wir waren als junges Paar schon öfter dort und es war IMMER sehr sauber. Die Wohnungen liegen direkt am Strand und sind sehr modern und hochwertig eingerichtet. Wir können es sehr empfehlen. Der Spa ist großzügig und sauber. Prora ist natürlich ein spezieller Ort, das kann man mögen oder eben nicht.

Rezeption tgl. erst ab 14:30 Uhr mit 1 sehr unfreundlichen Dame besetzt (O-Ton „woher soll ich wissen, wo hier die nächste Bushaltestelle ist? Ich komme aus Stuttgart.“). Zimmer bei Anreise nur rudimentär gereinigt. Indiskutable Reaktion auf Hinweis, dass von 4 Betten für 4 angereiste Personen nur 3 bezogen sind. Der Manager konnte zur Klärung des Problems in seiner Pause nicht gestört werden. Keine tgl. Reinigung der Wellness Suite M, wir mussten mehrfach darum bitten neues Toilettenpapier zu erhalten. Frühstück mit harten Aufbackbrötchen für knapp 20€ nicht zu empfehlen. Zusammenfassend ist Rügen eine tolle Insel und Prora hat einen wunderschönen Sandstrand. Für einen gelungenen Urlaub würden wir beim nächsten Besuch definitiv ein andres Hotel buchen. Ich verstehe die Vergabe von 4 Sternen für dieses Hotel nicht und bin mir sicher, dass die derzeitigen Leistungen (nur temporäre Besetzung der Rezeption, keine Zimmerreinigung, sehr unfreundliches Personal etc.) diese auch nicht erfüllen.
