Trieste 411 - Rooms & Apartments

Super staff, they helped us in every question, perfect location

First of all it was so easy to get the train from the airport straight to the central train station, and it was a 5 minute walk from there to the hotel. We arrived late in the evening and I was worried that it might be a problem getting in as they don't have a 24hr reception, but they sent us instructions which were super-easy to follow. The staff, when we met them the next morning, were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. We were given a voucher for breakfast in a nearby cafe/bar, (Harry's), which was excellent. The location is great for visiting Trieste. It's a 10 minute walk to the Grand canal and the Piazza Unita d'Italia which are right in the centre, where all the shops, restaurants and bars are. I highly recommend this hotel.

Check in was less than 2 minutes, we told the receptionist our name & they gave us a key to our room as payment is on check out. The 2nd & 3rd floor of this apar**ent block is the hotel, the reception was on the 2nd floor & our room was on the 3rd floor. There is a lift to get up and down if needed. The room was very clean and the bathroom is white marble tiled which was very stylish. The bed was comfy too but could hear noises of the cleaner around 10am or so both mornings. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the center of Piazza Unità d'Italia & 6 minutes to the bus station. The lobby into the building definitely needs lights that stay on as the current lights turn off after 15 seconds or so. There is also construction going on outside the bedroom windows.

There are quite limited options shown on the pages and travel blogs on things to do in trieste. There are several wonderful things to do in trieste apart from visiting castles and cathedrals and museums only. There are a number of public transport yachts during summer time which run between several stations such as from trieste port to barcola to grignano to sistiana....also from trieste to Muggia. These ferries take 25-35 minutes to reach at any of these mentioned destinations. So u may go and see the fairytale towns and comeback by ferry or by bus. It gives wonderful experience via ferry on an economical price of around 4-5 euros (one way). There is also a ferry that goes to trieste port to croatia on a reasonable price which takes two hours to reach the destination. There are several italian food places but the one I would like to mention is eataly. It gives u options to buy italian food products. It is a kind of food mall where u may buy food and there is also a food court where u can dine-in. There is a big cave Groto Gigante, you may check the timings and ticket prices online. It is a must visit place when u visit trieste. Trieste has wonderful beaches spots. You may easily find shallow and deep water spots fo swimming along the beach of barcola point. You may also dine-in at a sailing club by simply making a reservation if you want to have an experience of typical italian fresh food. There are several gelaterias in the city but there are a few which serves the best such as zampoli gelateria near the ghega bus station, a 3 min walk from the central station shall give u the best taste of italian gelato in the city.

Located about a 8 minute walk to train station and less than 15 minutes to the city center. On a busy street but the electronic blackout curtains completely blocked out the noise. Friendly, helpful desk staff. Room was super and a great value. Modern furnishings, especially the bathroom. Bed was firm and comfy. AC worked fine. Storage/closet space was minimal; not a problem for this solo/one night traveler, but could be a challenge for two people staying multiple nights.

Arrived late and left early, so not much to say, but room was clean and well appointed. Easily booked and good location and friendly staff and voucher for breakfast at bar around the corner. Included a mini kitchen in room

Recently stayed in Trieste, very beautiful city, both sea and mountains area. We were happy with our accomodation in Trieste 411. Booked a studio with kitchen, which was quite comfy, especially during Covid times. Super guest oriented, Nadia was very nice and pleasant. She gave us lots of recommendations about the area and recommended a nice restaurant La Bomboniera. Overall was clean, comfortable and worth price versus money. Thank you all!

This is a very comfortable place which is well located for the city centre and the train station. Parking might be available outside the hotel if space permits, but we were unlucky and thus parked in the closeby parking garage that the receptionist recommended. It is beside the station and not far away at all. The rooms were very nice with excellent air conditioning. The shower was also very good. The beds were also comfortable. Apparently the reception is not staffed at all times but, although we did not experience that, we got good instructions in case we arrived later.

Sehr tolles Hotel unweit vom Stadtzentrum (knapp 10 Minuten zum Canal Grande). Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Dame am Empfang, die gut Englisch sprach. Sehr schönes ruhiges Zimmer ohne Straßenlärm. Alles war sauber und modern. In der Nähe gibt es mehrere Bars, wo man frühstücken kann. Wir haben kostenlos in der Nähe (Seitenstraße) geparkt. Es gibt aber auch unweit des Bahnhofes in Hotelnähe ein Parkhaus, wenn man auf Nummer Sicher gehen will. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden. Da wir ja mindestens 1-2 x pro Jahr in Triest sind, wird das wohl unser Stammhotel werden :-))
