Hotel Bonadies

I’ve been to numerous places, and I can vouch for this hotel as the top pick when it comes to value for money. This is a place I’d revisit – and that speaks volumes. • Location: I was on the hunt for a hotel boasting a magnificent sea view (after all, the view is what draws most to the Amalfi coast) - and this place doesn’t disappoint. Choose a balcony spot during breakfast; the entire coastline stretches out before you. Speaking of breakfast, it’s delightful with an extensive selection. • My Room: It had a touch of vintage charm, which feels just right for a hotel steeped in history. The staff were outstanding and accommodating; they parked my car in their lot, granted me an upgrade without even asking, and waited up until midnight for my check-in due to a delayed flight. All in all, I left with fond memories and a fantastic experience. If you find yourself in Ravello, don’t miss out on this gem.

This was the last leg of a long awaited holiday Italy and in Ravello where we were attending a wedding. We were so very disappointed at the condition of the hotel and poor service. Our room said private balcony but which lead onto a further balcony that was public with sun beds and a restaurant. It had agate to it but didn’t shut. The room was dirty and worn out - the bathroom door would not shut and the toilet was behind the door so you had no space to,use the toilet. I opened the free toiletry Boxes to find some empty. There were holes in the walls. No safe. One light. One small mirror. Door fell off cupboard. Wardrobe hinge was broken. The bed was so hard I asked for a change and nothing happened, I had to get 2 blankets out of the wardrobe to sleep on as I’d had no sleep for 2 days. Breakfast: went to breakfast an hour after it opened to find Nothing left, nothing had been replaced, food was left on all the tables even though the “one” ! waitress had cleared the dishes away she left the tables covered in food. The drinks machine was on one broken leg and the leak in the ceiling had not been painted. The pool in the photos have plants and a barriers but these were no where to be seen. The photos of this hotel are very deceiving. We will add photos later. Ravello in itself is stunning and hope to return. I agree with previous comments it was Like faulty towers except it was not so funny.

Great location, just few minutes from the city center. quiet and clean room with everything you need and a breathtaking view. Friendly and helpful English speaking stuff. Amazing breakfast that was served to the room for us to eat at the balcony .Highly Recommend!

Just plain shocking service , on top of which the shower door leaked badly the basin did not empty the hotel is out of a Faulty Towers towers movie . Poor Poor . There are far better hotels . The only positive is the location . Shocking value and very rude service .

Large room, very clean, nice staff. The nice young man at the front desk parked my car for me somewhere. This hotel is a bit dated, sort of lost in the 60’s. It smells like cigarettes when you enter-a no no for Americans. I never figured out the layout for Ravello so I’m not sure if it’s a good location. My Fitbit told me I climbed 35 floors walking to Villa Cimbrone so I suspect it’s not central but I’m not sure if any place is.

This hotel in Ravello was our last destination of our 9-day vacation organized by Air Transat. The hotel rated as a 4-star accommodation, it seemed to us more like a 3-star. The building itself and its location are nice. Views from the restaurant terrace were breathtaking. This place may have been grand many years ago (there are pieces of memorabilia everywhere), but now the hotel looks tired and in dire need of refurbishment. The room booked by Air Transat was quite small and right by the road. There was no in-room safe. We had an armoire (with a difficult lock) in lieu of a closet. The television didn’t work because of “weak signal”. The bathroom was tiny. Wi-Fi was somehow slow, but the air condition worked. Breakfast was continental but nothing special. Positive things: The staff was very friendly and helpful. We are thankful to Vincenzo at the front desk and to Umberto and Raffaelle in the restaurant. We liked the on-site restaurant Bella Vista sul Mare. Good dishes and good wine list. We dined there twice.

We had a sea view room and the views were spectacular, however the room and hotel seemed somewhat tired and in need of some TLC. Our room was clean but very dated, the bathroom wasn’t great, with mouldy patches around the shower. The shower pressure was dreadful, not much more than a trickle. We had Bed & Breakfast but the breakfast was really basic, ham,cheese and poached eggs in a warmer, croissants, plain yoghurt in plastic pots with a bit of fruit in a small bowl that looked like it had been defrosted. Tea and coffee was self service from a machine as was the orange juice which was clearly super concentrated, I had one sip and never bothered again. A bit disappointing really, of all the places you could serve fresh orange juice…. Kind of says it all to me … if you like a good view then this is the place but if you want a good breakfast and a nicer room book somewhere else. I won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.
