Clean and well lighted room. Great facilities with fitness room and multitude gaming setups. Even have a bar in the lobby. Serving great foods. All and all really enjoy the stay. Well recommended!

L’hôtel est “bon marché” et bien placé (à 2 pas du centre-ville mais dans une rue mal famée de Reading). Comme je viens de l’écrire, l’hôtel n’est pas très cher mais je n’aurais pas payer plus pour ce type d’établissement. J’avais juste besoin d’une chambre pour la nuit et l’hôtel a fait l’affaire. Il est bien placé mais le bâtiment n’est pas joli et assez mal entretenu. Tout le décor, la réception, les couloirs et les chambres sont spartiates. Le personne est adorable et se met en 4 pour vous être agréable. Je voudrais remercier Syed et Fahad du fond du coeur pour leur acceuil, leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme. Attention: le wifi est payant. Je trouve que cela est choquant en 2023. Je trouve surtout Travelodge moyennement honnête sur ce point-lá: la 4G fonctionne horriblement mal dans leur établissement, vous “obligeant” donc à payer leur wifi. Pas de bar ni de restaurant dans l’hôtel. Il n’a pas de petit déjeuner non plus mais vous pouvez acheter des boîtes toutes prêtes: cela n’est pas mauvais (flapjacks, pain su chocolat, jus d’orange, corn flakes, lait) pour £5.5. Les couloirs et les chambres devraient être impérativement rafraîchis: tout est ancien et moyennement entretenu. Les lits sont confortables. L’hôtel est calme. Satisfaite de l’expérience globale par rapport à mes attentes (un lit pour la nuit c’est tout).

The good part: Staff are very friendly although check-in seems to take a little longer than Premier Inn, the reception area and seating to relax looks fantastic and the pizzas that the staff make 24/7 are absolutely delicious. The drink & pizza prices are reasonable. Location wise is spot on, just a two minute walk from the train station and central to everything. They provide more variety of tea & coffee in rooms, such as fruit & herbal teas, and decaff coffee, this totally beats any other budget hotel. Bad points: This is a cashless hotel & this is something i'm firmly against for a variety of reasons they lost £200 in sales due to this from myself & friends. The pillows are rock hard and kept waking up with a sore neck, the beds are also uncomfortable and feels like your sleeping on the floor. The noise from housekeeping is absolutely atrocious all you hear from several floors above and below, are the staff dragging large heavy trollies around and this goes on from 11am to 4pm if you need to sleep during the day forget it. The toilets smell of sewage & urine so sometimes you return back to your room and it stinks. There is also construction work ongoing Monday-Friday until Nov 2022 yet the prices are still very high. The cooling systems seem to work fine for an hour or so but then quickly the room becomes stuffy and warm, due to the location having the window open is very noisy especially at weekends.

Great last minute booking. Comfortable room and importantly close to Reading station. Front desk was manned until late making check in smooth.

L'homme dans le chapeau adidas sur la réception était exceptionnel et nous a donné un très bon accueil, mais d'autres personnels nous ont donné un peu d'énergie mauvaise, mais nous pouvons regarder au-delà de ce qui est en raison de la légende dans le chapeau adidas était brillant. La chambre, conservée par la femme et ses animaux de rat qui ont écrasé leurs cheveux tout au long de la chambre, n'a pas été si bonne que l'homme à la réception, je me réjouis de revoir l'icône une fois de plus.

Perfect for me as it’s right across from the office but probably not so great if you wanted to be in the city centre although it’s only an £8 taxi ride or £2 bus ride. Opposite a Beefeater which was handy but I would prefer an on-site bar and restaurant. Felt a bit uncomfortable on check-in to be asked if I was a smoker (I’m not) and if anyone would be joining me later 😳. Didn’t like the bed being made up with sheets, blanket and counter pane as it’s quite uncomfortable particularly on one of the hottest days of the year although the mobile air conditioning unit helped (first time I’ve had sheets and blankets for over 30 years since the day I got married despite extensive business (weekly) and leisure travel (4-6 times a year)). Hotel was very clean and the bathroom was well equipped. A bottle of water would have been a welcome addition to the room particularly in such hot weather. Not sure who to recommend the hotel to as it’s neither a corporate hotel with all the amenities or a home from home. Breakfast was on offer for an additional £15 and I decided to wait until I checked in to see. As I wanted to be in the office for 8am and there was no menu available, times of service or visibility of a dining room, other facilities or even other guests, I decided it may be too intimate and opted for a cold sandwich I had stored in the office fridge ‘just in case’. Was similarly priced to the executive room I had in the Novotel last week which had a full buffet breakfast included.

L'hôtel était équipé d'une seule personne, Isabel ou Iscbel, qui était absolument fantastique depuis le premier café commandé de mettre le projecteur dans la salle de conférence pour prendre notre commande pour déjeuner et nous le ramener. Il était difficile pour Isabel de jongler tous les commandes mais elle l'a fait avec un sourire et un grand service client. Merci.

Il n'était pas impressionné de recevoir le texte alors que l'étranger pour dire si nous nous sommes arrivés tard dans notre chambre pourrait être laissé. Il y a 2 Travelodges, une part chaque côté de l'autoroute. Nous avons réservé la frontière occidentale. Les deux ont le même code postal. Notre satnav n'a reconnu que la frontière orientale. Le résultat était qu'ils ne pouvaient pas trouver notre réservation. Apparemment, cela se passe beaucoup. Le personnel nous a redirigés à quelques minutes et quelques kilomètres de retard. Arrivé à presque minuit. À l'ouverture de la Costa aux services. Cependant, le personnel de l'hôtel est utile. Situation bonne et tranquille malgré la proximité à M4. Nous avons été très agréablement surprises. Chambre propre et plein d'espace, lit confortable, café-service bienvenue. La salle de bains est fine et l'eau chaude. Bien et beaucoup de choix pour le petit déjeuner avec services situés à quelques mètres seulement mais ne cause aucun problème de bruit à l'hôtel. Bon séjour. Pégalement confondu avec le code postal Peut-être expliquer la prise de service de l'ouest donnée sur le site Web lorsque la réservation éviterait la confusion et sauverait les personnes qui sont emmenées sur le site de l'ouest. Nous avons été inquiets quand Satnav nous a dit de passer les services à l'ouest, mais nous avons supposé que l'hôtel était proche d'un autre tour de tour. L'hôtel lui-même était bon et nous a donné une soirée confortable.

We stayed at the Great House to celebrate a wedding anniversary and overall the hotel didn't disappoint. Check in was easy and our room was ready earlier than expected which is always a bonus. Our room was beautifully decorated with lovely touches such as pots of sweets, free water and some lovely classic touches such as the old phone. We had a river view room which is a bit of a stretch as you have to see over some rooftop vents to see it but that cant be helped and was very nice. The room was absolutely spotless and the bathroom in particular is very high spec which you would expect in a boutique hotel like this. The bathroom was incredibly hot but not a problem at all and a fan had been provided if it was or if the main room became too hot. We were woken up by a fire alarm which went on for about 15 seconds at about 9am and certainly was a bit of a shock and incredibly loud (which is a good thing in an alarm!) but wasn't ideal. The staff didn't mention anything but an apology would have been nice but we didn't raise it so maybe they weren't aware of the problem. The only other problem which we did raise was the service in the Coppa Club which is where breakfast is served. We ate there twice during our stay and both times encountered issues with service. We wouldn't have returned but felt obliged as Breakfast was included. Considering how lovely the hotel is and the service provided is superb it is a shame it is slightly tarnished by the next door restaurant. Overall would definitely recommend staying here and certainly didn't see any of the parties that some people complain about. Hopefully will be back soon.
