Hôtels 2 étoiles à Reykjavik

Bon hôtel, très propre et pratique. Suffisant pour 2-3 nuits à Reykjavik. Prévoir 15-20 min de marche pour rejoindre le centre ville à pied mais le long de la mer cela reste agréable. Petit déjeuner complet, pas un choix immense mais suffisant. Bon rapport qualité prix.

L'emplacement est très bon, il est très proche du centre-ville, des sites touristiques et de la gare routière (flybus pour l'aéroport). Bonne cuisine entièrement équipée, vous pouvez vraiment tout cuisiner ici. Bel espace salon avec grande table à manger. Ma chambre partagée était un peu trop petite pour 6 personnes, pas assez de place pour ouvrir le gros sac de voyage. Le lit était trop petit, il n'y a pas de lampe ni de prise individuelle à côté du lit. Le prix était bon, pendant la haute saison, c'était vraiment une grande chance de réserver cet endroit pour un si petit prix. Je peux recommander cet endroit!

Kex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

Les salles de bains sont vétustes, sales (même juste après le passage des femmes de ménage) et pleines de moisissures (tâches sur mur et plafond et forte odeur de moisi). Les équipements de literie sont bas de gamme et très peu confortables. En deux jours passés nous n'avons pas vu l'ombre d'un hôte malgré notre présence sur leurs heures de présence indiquées. Les messages reçus et les nombreux rappels à l'ordre des règles sont peu cordiaux et vindicatifs. Il y a une caméra dans les parties communes non signalée. Les équipements signalés ne correspondent pas à la réalité (pas de machine à lave incluse dans le prix...). La chambre attribuée par mail (avec vue parc) n'était pas celle attribuée sur place (avec vue rue). Les parties communes ne sont absolument pas gérées ni nettoyées par l'hôte (par exemple les placards sont remplis de nourriture avariée laissée consommable par d'autres voyageurs et jamais retiré, même pas pour nettoyer les placards...). Manque global d'entretien et de propreté de cette guesthouse : abattant cassé, carrelage en morceaux voir détaché, poussière et moisissures, évacuation de douche non débouchée, toiles d'araignée, frigos sales avec joints endommagés et poignées cassées, etc...

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est très proche de la cathédrale et du centre-ville. Il est également très proche de la gare routière. Il est également très pratique d'aller aux principales attractions. Le petit déjeuner est modéré et le service est très bon. Les serviettes doivent être mentionnées à l'avance, sans frais supplémentaires. Ce magasin est à recommander.

This place was great. I loved the self check-in and check-out. It offered a hassle free and quick arrival and departure. We didn't see many employees or other guests as we were out early in the morning and back late in the evening, but the ones we did meet were very kind and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean and warm. We never got cold at night, and while the bathrooms were tiled, the floor was heated. I don't have any complaints about the property, except the fact that the rooms were only cleaned after you checked out. By the end of our five day stay, our bin was overflowing. Overall it's a great place to stay, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to visit Iceland on a budget.

Pas loin de centre ville, ma chambre etait parfaite pour moi et mon bebe de 2 ans. La salle de bain etait propre, le petit dejeuner délicieux et le proprietaire tres gentil. Dehors il y a un petit jardin ou vous pouvez boire votre café, et vous avez aussi a votre disposition une bouilloire d eau. Je vous la recommande fortement!!!

Grosse arnaque! Nous avions payé une chambre triple et nous avons eu une chambre double. Quand nous avons signalé cela à l'établissement, aucune excuse de leur part, et on a été insulté. Ne vous laisser pas avoir par les bons commentaires comme nous l'avons été. Grosse déception, et surtout grosse arnaque! Zéro professionnalisme! En plus, ils dénigrent les personnes pauvres. Nous allons signaler cet hôtel à l'office de tourisme et écrire au gouvernement islandais, tellement ils ont été insultants. Big scam! We had paid for a triple room and got a double room. When we reported this to the establishment, no apology from them, and we were insulted. Don't be fooled by good reviews like we were. Big disappointment, and especially big rip-off! Zero professionalism! In addition, they denigrate poor people. We will report this hotel to the tourist office and write to the Icelandic government, they were so insulting.

This was a great place. It's located right next to Hallgrimskirken, which makes it easy to explore Reykjavik and there is plenty of parking space in the area. I was positively surprised by the breakfast, and you have the option to store and make food in the evening. The staff is very kind and helpful as well. However, the room I was in leaked water through the ceiling when it rained and there was a rather significant buildup of mould in the upper corner of my room, which made me slightly ill towards the end of my stay. I would otherwise give this place 5 stars, but I can't recommend this place before this issue is adressed, as it's only going to get worse with time.

Good location 3 minute walk to bus station.Terrible building not taken care, mildew all around, overgrown weeds, Room very small, not very clean, sheets with holes with a greyish color not white, they look unsanitary. There is nobody to let you in. I arrived with temperature in the 30s with high winds and drizzly rain. I had to ask a guest to let me in. The manager was called by the guest he arrived and gave me the keys to the prepaid room. The cost was $129/night.I can not recommend this awful and expensive guest house.
