Hôtels près de Reykjavik City Library, Reykjavik

L'emplacement est très bon, il est très proche du centre-ville, des sites touristiques et de la gare routière (flybus pour l'aéroport). Bonne cuisine entièrement équipée, vous pouvez vraiment tout cuisiner ici. Bel espace salon avec grande table à manger. Ma chambre partagée était un peu trop petite pour 6 personnes, pas assez de place pour ouvrir le gros sac de voyage. Le lit était trop petit, il n'y a pas de lampe ni de prise individuelle à côté du lit. Le prix était bon, pendant la haute saison, c'était vraiment une grande chance de réserver cet endroit pour un si petit prix. Je peux recommander cet endroit!

Bon hôtel, très propre et pratique. Suffisant pour 2-3 nuits à Reykjavik. Prévoir 15-20 min de marche pour rejoindre le centre ville à pied mais le long de la mer cela reste agréable. Petit déjeuner complet, pas un choix immense mais suffisant. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Kex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

Bien que ce n'est certainement pas un séjour de 5 étoiles, l'auberge de bus était un endroit confortable pour mon ami et je vais loger pendant notre séjour à Rek. Il est incroyablement utile que la plupart des tours et expériences d'autobus s'arrêtent, ce qui rend super facile de rouler du lit et de commencer la journée. Il est un peu de voyage pour aller au centre-ville de Rek, mais il y a beaucoup de scooters électriques qui vous y arriveront dans moins de 10 minutes. Il serait plus agréable de voir plus d'événements sociaux, mais les douches étaient un peu sales, et même si encore supportables, je ne dirais pas qu'elles étaient l'accent de mon séjour.

Séjour en famille dans une belle suite junior. L hôtel est idéalement située - proche de tous commerce - proche des bus et des ramassages pour les excursions - Le personnel est au top - très accueillant, très serviable, ils ont répondu à toutes nos demandes ( restaurants - confirmation pour les excursions, sans gluten pour le petit dej) L hôtel est très calme , bien insonorisé, propre, ambiance feutrée , décor atypique. On a adoré - Merci pour l accueil

Outstanding budget option in a city that could use inexpensive lodging. The upside include: comfy bedding, warm environment, well maintained, solid breakfast with self choice, and great windows letting in light. Bath surrounding is clean and easy to manage. This is a hostel but our room was a one bedroom space with king size bedding. Best beef of our trip! The owners were great; super helpful. Questions: if you cannot get passed the hostel issue, then .... Maybe not the place. The guests were quiet, mindful, and considerate. Not a party hostel.

This was our favorite hostel in Reykjavik and I wish we'd realized this sooner so we could've stayed again on our way back from exploring the countryside. The room and shared spaces were clean, and the breakfast was more than adequate. Our family of three had a private room with a shared bathroom. The wifi was excellent and so was the location. You really can't go wrong. We even found free street parking.

L'hôtel semble être assez récent, car il y avait une légère odeur de peinture fraîche. Le personnel de la réception était sympathique et parlait bien anglais. La disposition de l'hôtel est un peu étrange, nous sommes restés au deuxième étage, ce qui signifiait que vous quittiez la réception et dans un couloir extérieur, revenez dans le bâtiment pour les ascenseurs et les escaliers, nous avons marché jusqu'au deuxième étage, puis à nouveau dehors le long d'un couloir, puis retour dans le bâtiment, monter un autre escalier et entrer dans le bloc où se trouvait notre chambre. La vue de la chambre était sur le parking, la chambre était petite et les toilettes/douche très petites. Les lits étaient très confortables et la chambre était propre, la chambre avait une télévision avec des chaînes anglaises, une bouilloire et un réfrigérateur. La chambre n'avait pas de sèche-cheveux et lorsque nous en avons demandé un, le personnel n'a pas réussi à en trouver un. Il n'y a pas de planche et de fer à repasser dans la chambre. L'éclairage de la pièce était très médiocre. L'hôtel ne dispose pas de restaurant ni de bar, mais il y a un café de l'autre côté de la rue, ouvert à partir de 7h30 et proposant des recharges gratuites de café. La promenade jusqu'en ville dure environ 30 minutes, ou un taxi vous coûtera environ 14 £. Cela dit, c'était un excellent point de départ simple mais propre.

Nous y sommes allé en Aout 2020, la veille de notre mariage. Nous nous sommes mariés à Reykjavik le lendemain de notre arrivée. L'accueil était bien. La chambre était petite, mais la taille correspondait bien à la description. Je regrette de ne pas avoir eu une petite attention pour les mariés. (alors que je l'ai eu dans d'autres établissement! Pas très commercial). Les +: accueil, le bain chaud à l'extérieur, le cadre et le petit déjeuner (dans le top 3 de notre séjour, c'est ce qui sauve la note)que nous avons vraiment adoré. Les -:le manque d'attention commercial! la petite chambre sur chauffer, moi qui suis frileuse, j'ai eu trop chaud toute la nuit donc peu et mal dormi, malgré la fenêtre ouverte au maximum (le maximum=juste entrouverte de quelques centimètres ). La literie n'était pas top. Et le pire c'était la salle de bain. Très vieille, lavabo pas pratique et pommeau de douche qui fuyait. Nous avons carrément dû l'enlever afin de prendre une douche sans pression! Je pense que cet établissement devrait refaire la chambres que nous avons eu. Dommage car le concept est vraiment sympa. J'y retournerai peut-être en testant une autre chambre car c'est vraiment ”que” la chambre qui nous a déçue (dommage de ne pas aimer la chambre dans un bel hôtel!)

Hotel staff are lovely and very friendly. Rooms are very comfortable. Food is terrific and the lobby is impressive.
