Myself and my partner decided to eat here as the original restaurant we were going to was fully booked. I ordered the prawn spaghetti and to my absolute DISGUST, the prawns were green inside the head (Which is a telltale sign of contamination of blue green algae, aka Cyanobacteria which when eaten can lead to serious illness or death) My partner (Who has a Masters Degree in marine biology/fisheries management) noticed this, as she has dissected numerous crustaceans and shellfish, and identified it as the accumulation of blue-green algae (Cyanobacteria) the digestive tract of all 3 prawns that were on my plate. I then asked the “Owner” what the blue/green was inside of the prawns digestive tracts, she assured me that “this is normal” my partner then asked where the prawns came from, to which the owner said “the fisherman” before storming off back to the till area, where she stood on her phone for the rest of our meal. As we were about to leave, we asked for the bill and I tried to speak to this “owner” about my dish and stated that how she had treated us and spoken to us was not okay as we had only requested additional information. She did not respond very well to this, even though it was completely just and fair feedback and a fair question. She stated that prior to this, we had been “rude” because we asked where the prawns were from. I responded and simply said that I was only asking a question about a dish which I was going to be paying for and was presented with. Apparently it is not okay to ask your server about your dish if you have any concerns, she then started raising her voice ignoring our concerns regarding this public safety issue, and she shouted at both of us asking if we were going to pay, and threatening to call the police if we did not. I had never said I was not going to pay, all I said was that the dish I served and her service was not okay. As a paying customer or any consumer of a service, I presumed it would be fair to ask about my dish (Which appeared to be contaminated with toxic algae) My partner informed this woman that it was in fact toxic blue green algae, to which she responded “it’s just plant” which confirms she was aware of its presence in the prawns but did not know what it was nor cared. Considering she is the owner of a “restaurant” it is a matter of public safety that she is aware of all potential sources of threats to human health. She again threatened to call to the police and this is also when the “chef” and another elderly man who seemed to be part of the staff began shouting at us both. We simply were requesting additional information on the dish as it was highly concerning. All three of them were highly aggressive and were making myself and especially my partner feel very unsafe in this situation. So we decided to simple pay the bill (which we intended to regardless) and leave as we feared for our safety. Upon leaving I took a picture of the restaurant so I could A) inform the local authorities of the
