Baia del Godano Resort & Spa

The beach is very small and dirty. Took over an hour each night to get dinner to the table. Food was passable at best, but not filling and not flavourful. We walked down the beach for 10-15 minutes and found a beach front bar/restaurant. That is where we ate lunches and kepted ourselves from starving. The hotel enforces caps for the swimming pool and charge $2 per person. Towels for the pool are not included. They charge $10 per person per day. The hotel room is not cleared or cleaned as it is too small. The sheets are rough and old. The hotel itself is run by men who ignore the customers. Asked for 2 small gelatos for my kids. He hands us large. I said I ask for small and her responded "no problem, just take the large". At check out we were charged $24 for 2 large gelatos. I told the clerk what he did and she shrugged and responded "did the kids eat the large gelatos"? What was I going to do at that point? We could not wait to leave. Asked front desk to find out how to get to Tropea as I knew it was close. Was told I have wifi and to get a cab. That was it. No suggestion of how much or who to call or anything. They couldn't care less. Worst experience we had in all of Italy. Never go here, trust me.

Pros Quaint hotel with an intimate feel. The rooms were great and the cleaning staff friendly. The view is spectacular! Cons Much of the staff, including and especially some front desk employees, were especially hostile and discourteous - never experienced anything like it. Drinks and food were appreciably more expensive then restaurants in the surrounding area. Entertainment is effectively non existent Internet is terrible. No one is waiting on you pool side so don’t be fooled by the servers you think you see. I don’t know what their job description is but it surely doesn’t include taking drink orders. So, if you want a drink, or anything for that matter, you’ll most likely have to go to the bar. Who’s in charge? ... P.S. We spent a fair deal of money on food and drink - upwards of a thousand dollars in the 3 days days my family and I stayed on site - and never once were we offered so much as a coffee. It would seem that they take every opportunity to tack on every possible expense notwithstanding the cost, both literally and figuratively. It’s gross! In any case, I’ve stayed all over Italy and I assure there are far more hospitable establishments where you’re truly treated like a valued patron. Plus, it’s Italy and most every location is beautiful! Avoid this place. I will never return.

Baia del Godano probably comes as close to a South Sea resort as you can get in Italy. Nice apar**ents/rooms, a restaurant by the sea with very nice food, the best choices for breakfast we had during our round trip, a well-kept flower/garden zone, a private beach, an open air fitness center and a very kind receptionist who, among other things, organized our parking at our next stop in Matera. Yes, it was expensive, but it was well worth it.

Siamo stati in questo resort perché due nostri cari amici ci hanno regalato un fine settimana per i nostri 25 anni di matrimonio, naturalmente sono venuti con noi ❤️ ci siamo trovati benissimo, cominciando dai servizi, ottima cena compresa nel pacchetto, divertente spa con una Jacuzzi che ci ha riportato al mondo. Stanza meravigliosa, niente da dire. Abbiamo fatto un ottima colazione e abbiamo mangiato benissimo! I camerieri e tutto il personale gentilissimo, insomma abbiamo passato due giorni da favola! Dó 5 stelle e cinque ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ grazie amici ottima scelta

Siamo stato qui per 9 giorni il nostro primo viaggio con nostro figlio di 8 mesi. La struttura è davvero molto bella panorama bellissimo. Le donne delle pulizie sono gentilissime e d e super pulito tutto.se proprio vogliamo trovare un difetto e la strada per scendere e molto strezza e ripida, e forse quando fanno il piano bar e troppo alta la musica ,io e mio marito non ci sentivamo se parlavamo, forse è meglio un po più bassa la musica. Comunque ci torneremo. Ps dimenticavo i camerieri sono sempre disponibili e gentilissimi.

Sono stato qui per una settimana con mia moglie celiaca e mia figlia di 8 mesi, è stata una vacanza stupenda. Struttura pulita, arredata con gusto, posizionata in un posto incantevole tra Tropea e Capo Vaticano. Parcheggio gratuito e in loco, spiaggia adiacente la struttura, ristorante e bar con vista mare. Personale del Ristorante, Bar, Reception e Pulizie cordiale, gentile, preparato, sempre sorridente.Unici. Attrezzati e preparati per il Gluten Free, durante il soggiorno ho richiesto una torta senza glutine per l'anniversario di matrimonio e sono stato accontentato. È presente anche una spettacolare piscina all'aperto e una spa. È stata la mia prima volta e penso di aver trovato la struttura che mi accompagnerà per le prossime vacanze estive. Stra-stra-consigliata.

Stanze belle e pulite, buono il cibo e spiaggia ben attrezzata. Piscina un po’ piccola ma molto curata e ben ombreggiata dal verde circostante . Ottimo il servizio, gentile e preciso , attento a ogni esigenza con un plauso speciale a Gerardo, Tommaso e Nicola e alla loro squadra
