Premier Inn Rochester

We flew back to the UK for a family funeral and were at the hotel for 10 days. For longer staying clients the hotel lacked air conditioning and a mini fridge. We were couldn't keep drinks or sandwiches etc cool in the room. This is a basic requirement in North American hotels. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We noticed that because we didn't "pre pay" for our evening meal everytime we tried to have dinner, even early in the evening, we were told that the restaurant was full, even though you could clearly see available tables and we never saw the restaurant full. We had this a couple of times at breakfast even at 7am in the morning on a week day. This we felt was a little unnecessary.

Catalogue of errors Check in was the only highlight, thanks Gill Try to book table for dinner, staff more interested in chatting then even though empty, 1.5hr until booking time Off tho room, smelt like the river had backed up, but too tired to care Then the restaurant, what a disaster Okay, it’s a chain but the seafood linguine had the stalest taste and texture I’ve ever had. Then when cleared waited 45 minutes before cancelling dessert and leaving. Duty manager was more than happy to cancel the order rather than deal with the issue. The General Manager really needs to work a shift in the evening to see how badly it can be done Overall, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had

A great location (next to a cinema, McDonald's, bingo, bowling, etc) and a modern, clean hotel, but the room was far too hot to allow a good night's sleep - windows didn't open, no portable fan, air conditioning didn't work well.

Stayed here whilst on the way to the coast. Comfortable rooms either facing the river Medway or at the back of the hotel overlooking the railway tracks. Friendly staff,clean rooms. Restaurant available either on site or next door. (McDonald's is across the road,)

the premier inn at Rochester was a ideal location for visiting the city . the room comfort was as one would expect , which was good . However only one lift was working and no information and being on 3rd floor a bit inconvenient . the first night their was no chef so restaurant was closed , luckily Mcdonalds near by !!! nice view of river

I have stayed here many times. The restaurant food and sleep quality has never disappointed. I will be back later this year. Tracy and the team make every effort to make the stay as you would wish

This place is a disgrace so badly ran on arrival receptionist miserable no bar staff to serve drinks, bar advertising 2-1 cocktails they didn't know how to do a pornstar martini cocktail waited ages, breakfast was an absolute joke all you could hear were people complaining no one overseeing the buffet the food trays were empty had trouble locating staff to get more food then one lad with long hair which was disgusting in itself bringing out food with his hair not even tied back I said to him this is disgusting everyone waiting around for food I said to the lad this shouldn't be happening there should be food coming out continually and he said well it's what it is how rude is that, even yesterday before we went out we wanted a drink at the bar and all they could say was no one on the bar omg this place needs a good manager overseeing every member of staff and staff who are helpful friendly with no attitude

Premier Inns are usually pretty good. However, this one was located on what was to all intents and purposes an Industrial Estate. Room was comfortable as expected, and the food was edibale as expected. Service was excellent. However, no access to fresh air in the bedroom!

From the moment we walked through the door customee service was amazing, Denise greated us with her infectious personality and smile making us feel at home. Throughout our stay nothing was too much for the team, with them going above and beyond to ensure we were happy with all elements of our stay. I have stayed at many Premier inns in my time and have never had such a positive customer experience as I have here, a job well done to all, especially Denise who is truly 1 in a million :)
