Sheila et Guy, nos hôtes, sont exceptionnels. Ils veillent sur leurs clients de manière tres amicale tout en étant très professionnelle. Leur maison est d’une beauté incroyable tant l’intérieur que le jardin. Tout est tenu à merveille. Les chambres sont belles et tout y est. Rarement nous avons trouvé un endroit si charmant, si beau, si bien tenu par un couple adorable d’attention et de gentillesse

We stayed five nights at Lower Wythall and it couldn't have been a better decision. The house is a beautiful fine example of the “black and white houses”, so popular in Herefordshire, the gardens and surroundings are stunningly beautiful, our room was very comfortable and quiet, and breakfasts hearty and delicious, including homemade breads and marmalades. The owners, a lovely couple, pay great attention to detail and made sure our needs were totally met. They gave us very useful information about nearby sites off of the beaten track, not that the area was very busy during our time there, but we were looking for not so popular sightings. The place is a few miles away from Ross.

Guy and Sheila were very friendly and attentive hosts. Sheila's attention to detail is second to none! Our room was well decorated and very comfortable with a king size bed, power shower and bath with plentiful hot water. We particularly liked the downstairs sitting room with large squashy sofas and wood burner where we could retire to and warm up after returning from dinner at one of the many restaurants in nearby Ross on Wye. Sheila even brought us freshly cooked Apple Cake after our dinner as we'd missed out on tea earlier! Breakfasts were delicious and cooked by Guy who was as cheerful as Sheila. I opted for a comprehensive fruit salad and yogurt, followed by perfectly cooked eggs, mushrooms, bacon and homemade bread. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B in a lovely area close to Symond's Yat and Goodrich Castle.

This was our second visit, this time we returned with two other couples. Everything was just as we remembered, from the warm welcome from Guy and Sheila with tea and home made cake to the fantastic breakfast with many locally sourced ingredients and nothing too much trouble. The rooms are all beautifully furnished in period style with super comfy beds. We also all appreciated the cosy lounge with that amazing log burner. Lower Wythall is a wonderful place in a lovely location which rivals many 5* hotels, our friends enjoyed it so much we've rebooked for a pre Xmas meet up in December.

We first stayed for three nights in early autumn last year and really liked it, so we decided to stay another three nights in early spring. Sheila and Guy made us feel very welcome again. Our second visit has been even better than the first, not least because we could enjoy the glorious spring weather and spring flowers in the garden during the day, as well as the cosiness of sitting by the fire in the lounge in the evenings. Sheila's little cakes were excellent, as were the breakfasts. A great place to stay.

Just arrived home after two nights here. We have stopped at various Wolsey lodges in the past but have to say this is THE best. The owners (Sheila and Guy )are wonderful hosts. A Fabulous period property with all the every day modern facilities. Local produce provides excellent breakfast fare cooked to perfection. We will certainly return. Highly recommended.

Thank you Guy and Sheila Such a lovely house a warm welcome and a great night sleep, this was a two night break so relaxing. Very close to Ross-on-wye we tried two Restaurant recommended by Guy and Sheila both fantastic, If you are looking to stay in somthing different from your usual hotel stay, I fully recommend Lower Wythall B&B

We were made very welcome by the owners and nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable room with king size bed. Huge bathroom with everything you could want. We arrived late afternoon and were very kindly invited to have tea and cake in the residents sitting room. There is a large source of local information by way of books and pamphlets and the owners are a font of knowledge. Good pubs nearby for dinner. Can recommend The Mill Race just down the road. Breakfast was made to order to whatever you fancy with locally sourced ingredients and home made bread. We hope to visit the area again and look forward to staying at this beautiful house on another occasion.

We stayed here 3 days in February 2023. The house is exquisite and the host and hostess are welcoming and friendly. When we arrived on the Friday afternoon, they served up a pot of tea with china cups and a freshly baked cake. This happened again on the Saturday after we'd been out for a trip. The location is superb, near Symonds Yat on the River Wye, and the 17th century house just oozes character. I would recommend it to all our friends.
