Villa Marea

Friendly welcome from Gaby started our lovely stay in this villa. It was spotlessly clean. We had a room on the front with a balcony & it was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The location was excellent for us with a very short walk to the forest park & beaches. The walk to the old town was about 20/25 mins which was perfect pre & post dinner.

Villa Marea was the perfect stay for our family trip to Rovinj. We had an excellent apartment with 2 bathrooms, small kitchenette and a main bedroom. The lounge area had a sofa bed that was perfect for our children. Balcony was a little small for the 4 of us, but was OK. Gabbie was lovely and helped with all our needs at the villa. Can't thank her enough for making us feel very welcome and helping with a reservation for a very popular restaurant in Rovinj. The pool is a decent size and enough for a dip to get out of the sun and cool down. Our children loved it and played for hours in the water. There is a great beach less than 10 minutes walk, Cuvi beach. Would recommend this. Stones not to sharp to walk into the sea if you don't have beach shoes and it has a lovely beach cafe. Tip, try the freshly baked Vanilla or Chocolate Krapfen from the man that sells them on the beach. Perfect trip to Rovinj and plan to return to Villa Merea next summer for our Croatian vacation.

We had a one bedroom apartment, which was very convenient and spacious. I think the sofa was a sofa bed, and could have been a bit more comfortable, however there is so much to see in the region that we did not spend so much time in the apartment. Staff is friendly and the location is good. Only 5min from the beach and 10min by bike from the city center. Very convenient that they provide bikes for free. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special, but also only 15euros pp.

A superb stay here as a family of 4. We had plenty of space in our apartment which was clean and well looked after during our stay. The hotel is peaceful and relaxing. The pool is perfect after a hot day out and about and the kids loved it. The staff are friendly and really helpful, booking taxis and offering advice. A small stroll to the beach which was beautiful. Bikes available to borrow. We would definitely come back to this lovely place.

I have already reviewed this but just to reiterate the owners are the best and provide you with all you need for a holiday in this beautiful place. Go there- you will not be disappointed. t has the best scenery in a wonderful harbour location with excellent restaurants.

Together with my wife we stayed here for a week in September. I cannot speak highly enough of the facilities, the staff and the quality of the apartment we stayed in. We have been holidaying for over 40 years and this is the first time I can describe a place as perfect. The location near to a beach is excellent and Rovinj is the most picturesque place you can ask for. Thank you to all staff for providing us with the best holiday ever. It deserves six stars!!! Excellent small hotel, with a pool and very comfortable sunloungers . The free use of the bikes was a big plus , has the hotel is close to the Beach and coastal cycling track, but a half hour walk into the town . We used a taxi service each night for 60 kuna . The hotel offers Breakfast , which looked nice , typical continental breakfast buffet. We had Bed with no breakfast , there is a local bakers and supermarket close to hotel , we bought croissants from the baker and cycled each morning to Ravinj for coffee on the waterfront , just perfect for us . You can cycle along the coastline with numerous bathing areas and cafe bars , and end near the hotel at the end of the day if you wish.

We stayed as a couple for 1 week and had a very relaxing and lovely holiday. The hotel is very clean with a lovely pool and garden area. Our room was perfect, good size double with a small balcony and kitchen area. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool had plenty of sun beds, seats and shade. We were able to eat breakfast sat there. The hotel also offers use of bikes included in the hotel price. We made use of these everyday and explored the coast area and visited a different beach everyday. The cycle to Rovinj took 10 minutes and the area is set up for cycling around. There are cycle paths and bike parking available every where. The hotel staff were exceptional, in maintaining the cleanliness. Our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was lovely, a variety of fruits, yougurts, cereals, meats, cheese, bread and eggs. There was a coffee machine and ice machine to use all day. We had a few restaurant recommendations from the staff and these were where we had some of the nicest food. Would highly recommended this small and friendly hotel.

We had a wonderful two day rest to break a week long biking trip along the coast of Istria. The villa is a family run business, very modern, comfortable and well kept. The room was spacious, with a balcony (and enough plugs for charging) and a large washroom. The villa is about a 20 minutes walk to the town centre and 10 minutes away from the beach road that runs all along the shore. The breakfast was nice too. The courtyard had a beautiful pool with beach chairs and sun shades, it was a difficult choice between staying there or going to the beach. There are a few convenience stores, pharmacies and ATMs nearby. The owners made us feel at home and we would go back there anytime.
