Kevin is a thoughtful host with plenty of communication both by email and texting. Check in is a breeze. Has self-serve snacks and drinks which is lovely. Our particular room did not have a desk (which my husband likes when he has to do a little work) but we were able to use the rooms downstairs. Breakfasts were delicious and options provided. Kevin also kindly did not toss us out Sunday morning since no one was booked that night, so we were able to get out at a more leisurely pace which was nice. He was very friendly and introduced us to our breakfast companion which made chatting easier. I would recommend. Is an easy 10-minute drive to Macalester for those folks who are visiting their kids like we were.

There is a reason Historic District BnB is #1 of 6 B&Bs in Saint Paul, it's an absolute gem tucked away in the Cathedral Hill district of St. Paul. The room was cozy. There is plenty of space in the closet. The bed is comfy, the towels are soft (unlike most hotel towels) and the bathmat was fluffy and soft when stepping out of the shower. Kevin makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive! If you're feeling a little peckish from your travels, there is a self-serve snack and beverage station waiting for you. For me, the most amazing thing was coming down to breakfast at the time I requested to find a lovely slice of blueberry bread and a fresh fruit plate. Then, I was actually given an option for my breakfast entrée! Freshly made Frittata? Yes Please! I appreciate Kevin taking time to get to know a little about me and make recommendations on where to go and what to do in the city. This is your place to stay next time you are in St. Paul!

The Historic District B and B is a GORGEOUS old house. Breakfasts were superb and the menus gave us a wide range of options each morning. Kevin is hands down the friendliest and nicest B&B host we have ever encountered. We stayed in The Carriage House which was great for having plenty of room and sense of privacy/solitude. Next time though we'll choose one of the suites because the shower in the Carriage House , by being against the sloping ceiling, was a bit too low for us even though we're short. I'd rate the overall experience as 10 out of 10.

Great service, lovely surroundings, delicious breakfast! We especially appreciated the meticulous attention to preserving the historic details of the house while accommodating the expectations of 21st Century travelers. Kevin was a terrific host, leaving us a birthday greeting and offering suggestions for our trip--and preparing and serving an excellent breakfast at an early hour. Thanks, Kevin!

Lovely home in a lovely neighborhood - great for a morning walk or run. Simple decor sets off this stunning mansion. Friendly innkeeper/chef. Good value place to stay in the cities. Excellent breakfast!

We booked out the Historic District Bed & Breakfast for our families to stay during our wedding weekend and it was the best decision! The house is beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and very convenient for us with all the wedding events. The location is amazing and close to all the fun restaurants in Cathedral Hill. It made our wedding weekend even more memorable. Highly recommend!

Kevin provides a warm and friendly environment, along with extraordinary breakfasts! He represents the best of bed and breakfast hospitality, and he responded to any request graciously and promptly. Our bed was quite comfortable (including the pillows -- not hard!), The closet and drawers were more than adequate for our belongings, and our sitting area was spacious. On another visit, we might select a room with a regular shower rather than claw-foot tub and, if possible, a bit more counter space in the bathroom.

My daughter and I had a very comfortable stay in the carriage house in back. The neighborhood is very charming, walkable and pretty. The accommodations had everything we needed. If I return to St Paul, I will definitely return to this lovely B&B

Stunning rejuvenation of an historical gem on a quiet street near Cathedral Hill Saint Paul, MN attractions. Comfortable, welcoming, delicious food, and very kind host Kevin. The rooms retain their original builtins and details, and are full of current comforts for bath and bed. Hope to return!
