I really wanted to love this place, and perhaps we would have if it had been later in the season. When I found and booked this hotel, I was so excited for what I expected to be a lovely two nights in Chianti. While the location and the property itself were truly beautiful, we were unfortunately disappointed in the accommodations and level of service we received, so much so, that we left a day early. First, I would not recommend staying here before May 1st, as you are not allowed to use the in-room air conditioning, per Italian regulations. While this alone would not have been a dealbreaker for us, our in-room heater was running for the majority of our stay, making the room upwards of 85 degrees F. We were the only people staying on site, so we expected it to be relatively easy to get assistance, however, the staff was either unable to offer support or said they would help but then never followed through. Additionally, while the on site restaurant was delicious, the service was not great. Overall, we didnt hate our time here, however, if we were to plan this trip again, I would opt to just visit for the afternoon, rather than an overnight stay.

Beautiful location in Chianti area of Tuscany. We were 13 friends staying for a week. The grounds are stunning with apartments in the main building & cottages across the way overlooking Antinori’s vineyards. The rooms were spotless & furnished with period pieces and the huge King size bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave. Irene & her staff were superb in assisting us with every detail. The restaurant is one of the best in the area serving us dinners & wines that made for memorable evenings. The breakfast buffet is abundant but be sure to have the cappuccino!over this place & can’t wait to return!

We couldn’t expect anything more amazing. The stay in the rooms was nice and original but the best experience we had on the restaurant for all our meals there. The manager Mr Lauro was amazing , he really helped to make our stay special. Good choice was accurate and quality was impeccable. We had a remarkable anniversary and we cannot stop to recommend a stay at agritourism Fonte de Medici to our friends. The wine tour was unbelievable and the site seing of the hills around is breathtaking. My wife made me a surprise gift I cannot forget. Thanks to the staff. 5 star

We stayed in the nearby self contained apartments. The apartment lacked a working dishwasher (the internal pieces were left in the machine) , wifi, iron / ironing board, toaster, washing machine , basic crockery, cutlery (no bread knife, cutting board, wine glasses.) We had to plead for everything and despite the exorbitant cost. staff could not have cared less. Absolute disgrace.

I cannot say enough positive things about this lovely property, owned and operated by Marchese Antinori. Wonderful staff, excellent accommodations, good food, beautiful views, lovely pool and grounds, a location without equal in Chianti! We stayed here three nights in October and our other guests were lovely couples or, in our case, a group of older gentlemen from Monaco visiting the area for excellent dinners and wine tours. Julia was our host and she was excellent. The views from each room were without equal. If I were to have a criticism, it would be that after the tourist season is over, the property needs to inform guests better about their hospitality...when the restaurant and wine bar is open during the week. This is a venue without equal where we could enjoy the area to the fullest. Hint...there are many nearby wineries and restaurants but they are a short drive, so have a rental car and be a competent driver. It's Italy, folks!

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. We had been delayed getting in and missed a night, so the staff greeted us with food and wine even though it was past the lunch hour. The pool is so relaxing and the views at sunset are absolutely stunning. The food was amazing & the food staff were some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. We got a flat tire a few kilometers away & Irene agreed to meet the tow truck with the car key for us so that we could go see Florence and not miss any more of our trip. This was a very serene and beautiful place, we wish we could have stayed longer. It’s family friendly too. We would recommend to anyone wanting to get the real Tuscan experience!

The place is a dream. I would recommend this place to anyone.. whether you are wishing to get a break from crazy rushed life, a wine and food lover, or a holiday-maker heading to the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Breath taking scenery, surroundings you do not want to leave, exquisite food, top service (always with a smile, never letting anyone down), and only the best - Antinori wines.. Booking wine tastings at Cantina di Tignanello and Cantina Antinori are a must ….. thank you Lauro, Michele, Elia and Valentina .. we had a wonderful stay celebrating a friend’s special birthday, and will definitely return for many holidays to come

Wir sind grosse Fan der Toskana und somit auch dem Wein der Toskana sehr gebunden. Hauptsächlich kaufen wir nur Wein vom bekannten Marchese Antinori der bekannte Tignanello wird nur 100 Meter von diesem Agriturismo produziert. Dieses Anwesen gehört übrigens auch dem Marchese Antinori, dies war auch ein Grund, weswegen wir 4 x mal dort waren. Dieses Jahr aber nun zum letzten mal! Letztes Jahr haben wir eine volle Woche gebucht, 3 Tage vor unserer abreise wurde die Trattoria geschlossen, ohne uns zu Avisieren. Da dieses Anwesen ziemlich abgelegen ist, wollten wir am Abend nicht in den Weinbergen herumkreuzen um ein Restaurant aufzufinden, und waren somit gezwungen unsere Ferien 3 Tage im voraus zu beenden. Dieses Jahr konnten wir nicht wie gewohnt, diese Villa in der letzten September Woche Buchen, da diese bereist besetzt war. Die Villa sei ab dem 1. Oktober bis und mit 8. Oktober frei. Somit haben wir die Villa für uns vom 1. Oktober 2023 bis und mit 8. Oktober 2023 gebucht. Die Bestätigung kam wir gewohnt, es folgten auch mehrere Telefone mit der Reception wegen Kochkurse etc. Am 27. September 2023 bekomme ich sogar ein Mail, die Reception wollte die Ankunftszeit vom Sonntag 1. Oktober wissen. Wir wurden auch darauf hingewiesen, dass wir die Villa erst ab 14.30h beziehen können. Wir trafen (nach einer 9 Stündigen Reise) am Sonntag um 15.00h ein. Als wir mit den Koffern den Garten betraten, bemerkte ich, dass die Villa besetzt war. Die anderen Gästen hätten gemeint, sie könnten bis am Montag bleiben, jedoch wurden wir mehrere Stunden mit nicht annehmbaren Ausreden vertröstet. Auf unsere Anliegen wurde überhaupt nicht eingegangen, meine Frau versuchte der Dame der reception sowie der sogenannte "Direktorin" verständlich zu machen, dass ich ein Herzpatient bin, und ich meine Ruhe brauche. Dies Interessierte diesen Leuten überhaupt nicht. Anstatt die Gäste die die Villa nun ohne Buchung besetzten, in eine andere Unterkunft zu zügeln, haben sie und in einem abgelegenem Zimmer für eine Nacht untergebracht. Das gesamt Hotel Personal ist inkompetent, frech, unprofessionell und auch noch unmenschlich. Wir sind schlussendlich einen Tag früher abgereist. Die ganze Woche kam nicht eine einzige Person auf uns zu, um sich zu Entschuldigen. Nie wieder im Fonte de Medici!!!!

Tutto perfetto , dall’accoglienza al dolce . Super pravi i ragazzi in sala. Ottima cucina I ragazzi in sala fanno onore a quel ristorante , non hanno mai detto di no alle nostre richieste . Ottimo davvero i piatti, consiglio le pappardelle con il ragù del Chianti . DA FAVOLA
