Facility and location are great but beware of cancellation fee policy: 50 percent of total reservation cost if any changes within 2 weeks of date of trip. Also they accept no payment for on site services. Must use a wrist band and attach a credit card through web site. Super annoying! Understaffed and inexperienced office staff, although they try hard. They do not enforce leash rules for dogs so beware if you have toddlers.

We rented a villa next to our camp spot and I have to say this campground is top notch! Price was reasonable for what you get! We usually stay at Wine Country and thought we would try this one. They waived the $15 resort fee since the restaurant hours were reduced. But the property is STUNNING.

Cava Robles(now Sun Outdoors) has gone downhill. Also, the prices are unbelievable! Then, after you pick a site, and pay $190 a night, you have to pay another fee to "lock-in" the site you picked. Gouging much??? What has happened to this place? You have to pay if you get there 5 minutes early. So sad that the original owners sold to a corporation. Same with Wine Country RV.

This was our first stay at Sun Outdoors RV Park. We stayed in Paso Robles. We will definitely be back! The sites are plenty spacious for maneuvering in and out and plenty of space for some privacy. The facilities are better than any park we have been in. Everything is modern and kept looking new.

So our RV IS TERMINAL at least 10 months. Have tried calling 8 times email 2 times and absolute no favor for customer service or return call until after the the reservation was over. My word of advice is stay somewhere Leese don’t expect any customer service I won’t ever reserve here again…

This is rv camping at its finest. Impeccably maintained, spacious sites, services galore. We have not stayed at Sun Country before and are impressed with brand. Location hood for sightseeing. Would stay again. Good for whole family, old and you g

Lots of traffic everybody drives really fast, including the staff, large tower speakers at the pool, playing Spanish music. None of the staff seems to care they are not allowed to accept tips, so why should they. Not a family place The pool is cold

We are regulars to Sun Outdoors Paso Robles (previously Cava Robles so must be managed by different people) - this was our 4th time staying here and unfortunately likely our last. Our previous trips were nothing short of amazing. This time, we stayed in the same RV spot we’ve stayed in as previous visits. The grounds were clean and well kept as per usual but this time as soon as the sun went down, soooo many cockroaches came out! It was so gross. The roaches were everywhere and it was not just our site but we heard our neighbors saying they had roaches on their site too. It was so unfortunate because we did not have this issue in our previous visits. In addition, during previous visits they had time slots where they would vacate the pool so they can clean it mid-day but that did not happen so by late afternoon the pools are all cloudy. Upon check-out, we let the front staff know about the cockroaches and all 4 ladies at the front were not phased by it so I’m sure others have complained about this. If you’re considering coming here, just remember to bring roach spray and keep all your doors closed so you don’t get any in your camper. Such a beautiful property but has gone down hill since we first started coming here.

Sadly, after several years of camping here this will have been our last time. We checked in on Thursday for Memorial Weekend (4 nights) and paid an exorbitant amount. We always figure, you get what you pay for though so whatever. Having said that, if I am paying so much, I expect to get use out of the amenities. We know from past experience you have to get to the pool earlier if you want a chair on a busy weekend. Ok great, we get our chairs (because we made a run for it at opening) and are all set…so we thought. Come to find out they are going to close the pool for an hour at 2pm. Apparently this is their standard practice now. We cannot leave our things on our chairs and have to vacate completely. By the time we get out there is already a big line to get back in, so we wait the hour to get back in to get chairs again. Ok this is annoying and not a relaxing day after all, but we make do. When we checked in and looked at all the kids activities, my daughter was the most excited about the foam party at the pool, Saturday at 4pm. We we had to vacate at 2, my husband and daughter went to get something to eat and to rest. They planned to come back at 4 for the party. Well, when they let us all back in to the pool after the break, they NOW decide only a certain amount of people will be let in. No one cared before. Then I notice at one of the gates the guy is pretty much letting in anyone, so I tell my husband to hurry back just so I can get my daughter in, not even him. By the time he gets there people have become wise to that gate, so now it’s completely closed off. A friend of mine says he’ll just go out so my daughter can come in. Nope, they’re not having it. Now I’m crying, which you may say is a little overboard, but to understand my situation, they’re basically saying, nope, you cannot be with your daughter who has been looking forward to this for two days! As a parent, it was a horrible feeling. After speaking to a manager (after 10 mins of round and round) they did swap in my daughter for my friend. Around 4:15ish or so, after there’s been really no one leaving, they decide, oh let’s just open the gates and let everyone who’s been waiting in line in. I’m guessing they had a lot of upset paying guests who were being denied entrance. Had any of this made sense, I’d be a bit more understanding, but there was literally no rhyme or reason to any of it. They said they need to clean up trash. Why they can’t do this when people are there is beyond me. If the park cannot accommodate even 1/4 of its guests at their pools (there are 2 with 80 person capacity), they need to build more, or not sell as many sites! At the rates paid they should be able to accomplish this.
