Protur Atalaya

This could easily been a 5/5 stay with just a few bits of extra care.... Lets start with the good bits - great location close to Cala Millor centre & the beach, nice pool area, modern decor in the apartment & stunning sea views from the top floor. Now the not so good - the apartment was dirty when we arrived with bits all over the floor and the bathroom smelt horrid. It was 'cleaned' again after we complained but was no better. Not great, especially when travelling with children! The beds were also extremely uncomfortable & kitchen was very small. If the cleaning was improved then we would return, but otherwise we will find somewhere else to stay next time.

A beautiful apartment overlooking the sea, very spacious, comfortable beds and a lovely walk in shower. I can’t fault anything about the apartment it’s clean and modern, pool area was lovely and relaxing plenty of sun loungers, Cala millor a lovely place to stay plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops all on the doorstep and beach only 2 minute walk, Cala Millor seems to be a spot for Germans and Dutch tourists not many English and Irish around so don’t be expecting lots of British bars or Irish bars, only a few British bars, Rose and Crown great for entertainment quiz and karaoke every night, cheers bar and the sun deck bar for the English breakfasts, overall I would highly recommend this lovely apartment and staff very friendly, I would certainly come back

This is an excellent value for money aparthotel in Cala millor. Centrally located but not too loud, all rooms are pool or sea facing with large accommodation, superb bathrooms and ice cold air con. It’s not one of these large hotels with all amenities but if it’s self catering you want (which is best given the number of eateries in this large resort) then its tough to beat.

Myself and my partner visited here in June 2023 and very impressed with the apartments The location is perfect and is a short walk to the beach which is perfect. It is also very close to very good restaurants as well as a big Aldi which has a bakery We were staying on the 4th floor and despite not expecting sea views we could still see them which was a nice sight to see from our balcony The pool was nice and peaceful and there was plenty of sun beds and umbrellas available no matter what time you decide to go down to the pool which is perfect as some hotels in the area it can be a nightmare trying to get a sun bed or umbrella unless you wake up first thing! The room was a really good size however the only downside we found was the beds. We were aware that it would be two singles however these could not be pushed close to each other to make a double and they were also very loud as every time there was slight movement there was a loud noise and we could also hear this coming from other apartments. The two single beds were completely separate with a gap in the middle - you could not make it 1 bed. If there was a double bed option it would of definitely been a 5 star review!

This was a wonderful apartment just a few meters away from the beautiful beach at Cala Millor! Our stay was incredible, the apartment was clean, the view of the pool was lovely, waking up to blazing sun on the balcony was a fantastic. Everything that we needed for our short stay was in the apartment and it’s only round the corner from an Aldi! We are very big fans of Mary! She checked us in and was a joy! Wonderful to chat to and just really fun! Thank you so much! I will recommend this place to my friends for sure! Perfect for friends! We understood there was a little fee If you wanted your apartment cleaned but as we were only there for a few days we didn’t need to 😊

We had a 2 weeks stay at Protur Atalaya Apartments, where the entire complex has been renovated within the recent years, and in general is in pretty good shape. The apartments are not super large, but it worked fine for us being 2 adults and 2 children. Aircondition was nice and it did what it should to cool the room without giving you a cold. The kitchenette is super small and don’t expect to be able to do any kind of proper cooking. This wasn’t our plan, so everything was fine, but be aware that there’s an absolute minimum of equipment available e.g. 3 forks to 4 people. The cleaning was decent - absolutely not spotless, but not horrible either. Some sand etc. on the floor, crumbles in the kitchen drawers and the freezer needed a proper de-icing. During summer you’ll have sun on the balconies from sunrise to around 12.00. The rest of the day you’ll have shadow. Great during summer, but expectedly not as positive during the colder months. We lived at 8th floor and had a quite good sea view. We made a wish for a top floor apartment before arrival, but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate this. Pool area small but clean and loungers were comfortable. Luckily no need for reserving the loungers early in the morning - we could easily find some available during the day. All activities around the pool is allowed like playing ball. Lifeguard during opening hours from 10.00 to 18.00 - and he was by the way a super nice guy! You should be aware that no cleaning and change of towels is included in the price. This can be paid separately at the reception. Without bar and restaurant there’s not much happening at the complex which was absolutely fine with us, since there’s a lot of activities available in the surroundings. In general not a lot of noise in the apartment - some in the living room from pubs nearby, but in the bedroom quiet. This might be different in the lower placed apartments. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the 3 stars is representative for what you’ll experience. Not a lot of activities and luxury, but good value for the money you pay.

Great apartments, modern and Aircon great in the sweltering heat, modern bathroom with rain forest shower head , one set of towels and toilet rolls , binbag etc. Great balcony and pool was not crowded even though it's pretty small. Only negative is that it closes at 6 when most other places are still open. I asked about keeping our room on the last day but this was not possible due to full capacity. Luggage room was fine. Close to lovely pizza place and Chinese and only 5 mins from Aldi and seafront . Highly recommended apartments, thank you.

We visited Cala Millor and Protur Atalaya Apartamentos during the second par of July and it was a very hot period in Mallorca. This really meant that the A/C would need to work like a charm and it absolutely did. The small apartment was modern and newly renovated. We liked the style and it felt fresh and airy. Very good bathroom, but really hard beds (especially the sofa beds). Also the pool area was neat and modern. Although the pool is very small, I would recommend using it during the siesta hours when it was a lot fewer people there. On the other hand you will reach the beach in no more than five minutes. This is another one of the really good things about the hotel - the fact that it is very well located in Cala Millor, very close to heaps of restaurants and to the beach. Also it probably only takes five minutes to get to a well sorted Aldi. A much larger Carrefour is to be found in Cala Bona (just a short bus ride away). This is a bit of a budget choice hotel (especially if you compare to the other Protur hotels in the area) and I must say that I did miss at least one change of towles (there was none, and we knew this from the beginning) and I also missed to have a least one day of cleaning the room. Unfortunately the room was not very clean when we moved in, but I just couldn't be bothered with complaining about it. Takes too much energy. So in short I would perhaps come back to this hotel, but I would like a room much higher up to filter away some of the noise (we stayed on the first floor). Also get ready for some noise between the apartments, so perhaps bring earplugs.

I think this is either the third or fourth time we have stayed at these apartments. I really can't fault them, they are very nicely appointed. There is an Aldi about five minutes walk away and the apartments themselves are pretty much in the centre of the town. In all the circumstances, a very nice place to stay. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and there is even a washing machine available in the basement laundry room.
