Avis : Quinta do Pé Descalço Guesthouse Sintra

Our stay was wonderful! Patricia and Ricardo were the best hosts ever! They were so helpful with giving us advice to save us time getting to places, gave us great recommendations for local restaurants, and were so welcoming to us. The breakfasts they served hit the spot! The best coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice along with Portuguese specialties, cheeses, meats, yogurt, granola, and freshly made breads. The room we stayed in was very clean and very spacious. Bathroom was also immaculate with plenty of towels and toiletries. Hot water was immediate. Quinta do Pe Descalco also has a large family room for guests use, and in there was a table perfect for gathering or playing cards. The outdoor area includes a pool with lounge chairs that is great to come home to, plus a very large table that could easily fit 16 or more people. Do not look further....book Quinta do Pe Descalco!

Absolutely perfect in every way. Patricia and Ricardo were wonderful hosts - very responsive and extremely helpful with great advice. Rooms were very comfortable and the house shared space was very clean and inviting. Don’t hesitate to book it!

What a beautiful house! We stayed here for five days with our family of nine adults. The house was exceptionally clean, well laid out, and spacious, ensuring we never felt crowded. We spent most of our time outside in the huge garden by the pool, which was clean and perfect for cooling off. The kitchen was fully equipped for all our needs, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious. A big thank you to Patricia and Ricardo for welcoming us so warmly and taking care of all our needs. You were wonderful hosts, and we hope to visit again. Thank you.

I do not even know how to start this review but let me tell you something you will not find better hosts than Patricia & Ricardo. Beautiful super clean home , fully kitted , spacious, beautiful decorated and amazing continental breakfast. The house is beautiful secluded , super clean and Ricardo can also cook if you really want task Portuguese food . We were a group of 10 we were well received by this wonderful couple , the 3 legged stunning cat and the parrots ( worry not they are on the other home) but we wanted to meet them all. We entered as guests and we left as friends. We shall be back . ❤️ They can help with restaurant bookings/Taxi etc…

This is a real fine adress. A beautiful mansion with sunny rooms, fine furniture, a convincing garden and swimming pool and quiet surroundings. Patricia and Ricardo always available for a friendly chat. We loved the place, enjoyed the conversations, and really liked the "breakfast decoration" and nearby restaurant O Lavrador.

We loved staying with Ricardo and Patricia. You feel really at home as soon as you arrive. The rooms are lovely, clean and well appointed - the bedrooms and the lounge and dining areas. The pool is great (not too cold!). From a food perspective the breakfast was good and the recommendations for local restaurants were spot on - we had fabulous food locally and the walk to the restaurants was very manageable, through a residential area. It was like staying with friends. We visited Sintra palaces, Lisbon (very easy to get into by train) and the local beaches during our five night stay. Thank you to both Ricardo and Patricia for such a great time (ignoring the thrashing at table tennis) - and to Ricardo for making me laugh so much at one point I have no idea what the other guests must have been thinking. Quick tip - believe the reviews that advise against driving in to Sintra - taxi/Uber is so easy and cheap and parking really is a nightmare in the summer!

We stayed for 3 nights and were welcomed by the owners who made us feel right at home. They are really knowledgeable about everything from local sights & highlights to food & wine. The rooms are nice & clean. No complaints.

Wundervolle Quinta, hochwertig ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und die Tage dort sehr genossen. Der Pool war toll! Alle Zimmer und Bäder waren sehr schön, hell und das ganze Haus sehr gemütlich. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen ganz nah, außerdem gibt es tolle Restaurants sehr nahe. Patricia und Ricardo sind freundliche Gastgeber, sie hatten jederzeit gute Tipps für uns, herzlichen Dank dafür. Ich hoffe, wir können bald einmal wiederkommen!
