Hotel Cavalluccio Marino

It is not a 4 star, probably a 3, the pictures looks like a new and luxury hotel, but they have a strong smell to humidity, it is a old hotel and the attention was ok, but definitely not a 4 star hotel. The cleaning was ok but I can’t say 100% probably because they need to invest more in the maintenance, my bedroom had problems with the shower’s door.

We stayed here for 3 days prior to departing on our cruise and were thoroughly happy with everything. The hotel more than adequately served it's purpose. It is a a bit older but full of charm. Location is beautiful and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Mikela in the bar area was awesome along with the entire wait staff serving up fine Italian cuisine. Very glad we chose it to chill before our tour of the Mediterranean.

The hotel is a blend of classic charm and modern efficiency. The staff are super helpful and kind and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The restaurant staff were the absolute best, serving great food at all times of the day. A special thank you for the breakfast box for our very early departure! Would love to visit again, superb!

Very bad service from the moment I arrived at the airport. Unfortunately the day I arrived in Rome there was a transport strike so my first point of call was the receptionist at the hotel for information on how to arrive at the hotel with 2 kids, 3 suitcases and in a foreign country. I telephoned the hotel for help, information etc and every question I asked the receptionist her answer was 'No lo so' (I don't know). Luckily for me I can speak a bit of Italian and told the receptionist to call me back once she knew something, Meanwhile I got our way to Santa Marinella and called the receptionist back to ask how to get to the hotel from the train station, she told me to walk and I told her to ask a hotel worker to come and pick us up! To walk was unthinkable with everything and the heat and the distance and I am long distance runner!!!!! The men that collected us were very apologetic, the driver of my car couldn't believe my travel story to arrive in Santa Marinella, he was very helpful. Once checked in my kids wanted to take a quick dip in the pool to refresh, it was 18:40 and the pool closed at 19:00 but as we got to the waters edge the lifeguard told us that it was closed because he wanted to go home. The rooms are very cramped and the bathrooms stank, the shower had the old fashion plastic shower curtains that stick to you. The next day I needed to get to the port to join my cruise, I asked the receptionist (big mistake) to help in ordering a taxi or some form of transport to get to the port....surprise...no luck...once again they couldn't do anything. So, why oh why, me a foreign person could go online and call all the available travel services in Santa Marinella and find a taxi to pick me up the following morning!!! Forget eating a this hotel, the prices are over rated for the food served here, (we ate breakfast and lunch...I can cook better), you are better off taking a very short walk to the restaurants nearby. The service was appalling, in all the years I have been travelling I have never met such uninformed/unhelpful people working in the hospitality industry. I pass by Rome often when travelling but I won't be booking a room at this hotel ever again and I advise anyone else....don't stay here!

This is my longest review for a reason. See the detailed section for all. In case you don't read all, know this: There are hard to see jellyfish and sea urchins here. My wife and I got stung, so did other guests. At times we couldn't bathe. There is no info about this, no staff told us. Wear protective shoes!

Il migliore albergo di Santa Marinella. Posizione fantastica fronte mare. Spiaggia privata con ombrellone e lettini gratuiti a disposizione degli ospiti. Piscina con assistenza, unico caso a Santa Marinella. Parcheggio gratuito che per la località è prezioso. Veranda sul mare per la colazione favolosa. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.

Ho soggiornato sabato nel residence dell'albergo per regalarmi l'ultimo sorso d'estate. Compreso nel prezzo del pernottamento ci sono parcheggio, spiaggia privata e piscina con acqua di mare. Struttuta sul mare, personale gentile, pulizia impeccabile, colazione ottima. Tornerò sicuramente.

Abbiamo preso appartamento in 6 all’interno dell’albergo/residence, appena ristrutturato, 2 bagni, comodo, stanze amoie, balcone, condizionatori, angolo cottura superefficiente, piano a induzione lavastoviglie e lavatrice. Stabilimento incluso nel prezzo piccolo ma mare super, a disposizione spiaggetta, scogli e piscina di acqua marin in riva al mare. Tutto perfetto a parte l’accessibilità alla piscina e al mare che potrebbe essere fortemente migliorata poichè per persone anziane con problemi di deambulazione diventa difficile entrare e uscire dalla piscina con la sola scaletta verticale in ferro, come fare la discesetta al mare senza scalini.

Siamo stati ospiti di questo hotel per qualche giorno e la posizione è ottimale, proprio sul lungomare, avere la spiaggia con accesso al mare di scoglio è agevole e la piscina di acqua salata ha il suo punto di forza. Ma l'hotel è piuttosto datato, come anche gli ospiti in prevalenza persone anziane, la camera aveva una bella vista mare laterale, ma il bagno aveva una cabina doccia risicata e i motori dell'aria condizionata proprio sotto le stanze e piuttosto rumorosi, che per essere un hotel a 4 stelle non dovrebbe accadere. Colazione buona e varia, ciambelloni e crostate preparati freschi, ma la signora che si occupava della preparazione di caffè e cappuccini dovrebbe occuparsi d' altro, erano davvero imbevibili. Sono riuscito a bere un cappuccino buono solo quando c'era Chantal alla macchina. Complimenti alla cortesia della signora Maria Elisa, alla reception, sempre con il sorriso e disponibile. Per essere un 4 stelle qualcosa deve essere migliorato
