Hotel Ismael

We stayed here twice. Very warm welcome. Comfortable room. Wonderful breakfast. We even left our luggage here for a week for our return stay. The luggage guy was easy to deal with. He did not even want to keep our tip. We bothered him several times for stuff in our luggage. No problem. Easy walk to markets, restaurants, and some museums. Would definitely stay again!!

Amazing hotel in a fantastic part of Santiago. The staff at the hotel was INCREDIBLE and accommodating to our needs. Would 100% recommend to someone going to visit Santiago. We stayed here for a few nights and had an amazing view of the park. The surrounding area had some nice shops, great coffee, fun bars, and some cool street markets.

The staff are very polite and helpful, the beds very comfortable and the hotel is well located for the many restaurants in Barrio Lastarria. The Parque Forestal right across the street is lovely and acts as a great noise barrier from the traffic. The breakfast was great with many choices.

I was only here for two nights before flying home, but I enjoyed my stay and whistle-stop tour of Santiago. The hotel receptionist gave me a great recommendation of where to eat.. and what sites to visit in my limited time. I would definitely stay here again if ever I'm back.

We had a nice stay the the Hotel Ismael. It is in a great location next to a park and walking distance to a lot of tourist sites in the city. The breakfast is good, although they served pretty much the same thing every day with a few small variations. The best part of the hotel was the front desk staff especially Daniella and Diego. They were both so helpful. Daniella helped us check in a little early which was fantastic after an overnight flight. She also gave us a map and directions and advice on how to best see some of the local attractions. Diego helped us book an afternoon wine tour that we really enjoyed. He also remembered our names every time we came back into the hotel which we thought was impressive considering we didn’t stay that many nights. One thing we didn’t like was that the cell phone service and wifi did not work very well in our room. Im not sure if it would be like that in every room or just because of where our room was located within the hotel. The other thing that kinda bothered us was a slight sewage smell that would sometimes come from our bathroom. We weren’t in our room much other than to sleep so it didn’t bother us enough to complain or switch rooms but we felt it should be noted. Overall it was a really good budget friendly hotel in a great location where we felt safe. (For reference we are two Americans in our 30s)

Very friendly and helpful staff in a well located hotel. The rooms are small but well laid out with a nice functional bathroom and even a small kitchenette with a microwave and mini sink. Room has double glazing to keep the traffic noise to a comfortable level.

I have never had an experience in a hotel even close to our stay at Hotel Ismael! The staff was so friendly and kind. Diego went out of his way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Not only did he give us great advice for any questions, he paid attention to little details (such lending a yoga mat). Diego was an absolute hero for accommodating us with a late check out when we had a crazy flight time back home. The breakfast buffet was also a big hit for us with quality food and coffee. The location of the hotel is spectacular, near Parque Forestal, lovely for morning walks or run, and near Lastarria with all of its great restaurants. It’s also quite central for sightseeing in Santiago. 110% would recommend a stay at this lovely hotel!

We stayed in Hotel Ismael for one night. Diego gave us a warm welcome as did the young man who helped us with our luggage. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location. Lovely swimming pool.
