I had a lovely stay. Staff are extremely helpful although conversations were mainly in Chinese I could luckily understand better than I can speak byt google translate does also work in Sanya- but great attitude clean and tidy nice rooftop. Quiet at night and mornings.
Place is very convenient for exploring Houhai Village and Wuzhizhou island, it’s got a very hippy, surfer beach vibe which I personally love, and beach is close by. Also close to local bus terminus, which is easy to use and Maps can help you to know which bus to take, However if you want to explore areas in Sanya city out of houhai village or other opposite ends it’s quite a distance away and not the most convenient as local transport only runs until 5pm thereafter must use taxi or ride-hailing apps however it’s a beautiful place to relax and unwind and be away from city centre. I had a great stay and would definitely go back next time🫶

We have stayed here second time already. The owners are very friendly and helpfull 🍀🌺🙌😃.On the top of the acomodation there is a big terace with the swings and that is a great place to chill and somethimes go away from the crowds. It is silent during the night. Nothing like the places next to the sea where is very noisy at night. It is clean, and the room is really smart😊. Location is great as it is just 2 min from the beach. I love Houhai as there are no limitations for swimming, mostly sea is very calm. Still the last day I was excited to see and experience some stronger 🌊 , swimming there was great, hooray😃😃😃.
Some other places on Sanya have real limitations like sometimes it is not allowed to enter the water( Sanya, Dadonghai bay, Yalong bay) 7 days ago or still), or on Yalong Bay you can go in the sea up to your waist, so boring. If that is a case everywhere we would not decide to come to the sea cost at all.
In Houhai water is shallow the first 20 m at least, and it is nice to try surfing.
We have enjoyed the local restaurants the choice is great if you like eating different Asian food, western as well. Also you can eat tropical fruit all the time, during coconut water as it is everywhere.

It’s a new hotel close to the beach, but the facilities fall apart. There’s a nice terrace on the roof, but the noise from the fireworks and the clubs around won’t let you sleep.

Location: the hotel is very close to all the places in Houhai, it’s nearby party street. Depends if you like it or not. It is located between two buildings and most of the windows are facing walls so there is no daylight in the room. The photos show rooms full of light which is totally different in real life. There is a construction site next to the hotel so from 9:00 to late hours it’s very loud.
Room: unfortunately we have chosen a small room which was claustrophobic. It was very dark because the window was facing the wall and the entire room was super smelly! I couldn’t breathe and sleep because of the cigarettes smell.
Cleanliness: everything was clean and tidy.
Service: staff is helpful and friendly.

Staying at this hotel was a really great experience!!! It's located 5 minutes away from the beach, but in the quite area, so you won't have any problems trying to fall asleep. The room was very clean and we had everything we needed, including super comfortable spotless beds and a projector for watching movies.
Unfortunately, we stuck in Sanya during the epidemic and had to stay longer than we planned to. The owner of the hotel was a really generous, kind and caring person , who not only made a discount for us, but also was helping us with every single question we had. She tried her best to find some food for us and provided some kitchen utilities for free. She was also constantly updating us on the new epidemic policies and would give a piece of advice on how to arrange the flight. We were absolutely happy to meet such a kind and sweethearted person.
Another very important point to mention is a patio on the top floor of the hotel. Apart from having a great view on the mountains, trees and see, we could also use washing machine any time we wanted and dry out clothes on the fresh air. Although the patio space seems to be quite small, it was full of chairs, tables and swings, so if you're traveling with friends, it would be a perfect place to have dinner at or prepare some homemade food.
Hopefully, the epidemic will be over soon and I can come to stay at this place again! Thank you for hospitality! We're blessed to meet such a great couple, that owns the hotel!!

We had a great experience staying at Yunhai youyue Inn. The rooms were like the photos, clean and tidy, beds super comfortable. The rooftop was an awesome place to go and chill with friends or read alone. Rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels, drinking water and soap. There was a washing machine for all guests to use, plus a fridge full of drinks for guests to purchase. Location was just down the road from the main street, which meant it was quiet at night, but walking distance from all amenities including the beach. This place was perfect for anyone friends/family/solo travellers.
The best part of staying here was the staff. They were super lovely and went above and beyond to help us. We unfortunately got stuck in Sanya for the 8 day Lockdown when all flights cancelled and roads closed. However the staff did everything possible to help us, including giving us a discount on the room rate, setting up a makeshift kitchen for us to use, helping us to purchase fruit and veggies when shops were closed. They also communicated with local authority to help us return to our home cities as soon as we could. They assisted us when completing leaving forms, and communicated all our questions and concerns to the authorities.
We are so grateful they were able to help us turn a bad situation into a memorable one.
Will definitely be returning in the future.

The hotel is very well located close to the main street which makes getting a DiDi quite convenient. It is also a lot more quiet than the hotels located on the beach. Friendly check in and clean rooms.
