Nous avons réservé la visite de la plantation d’ananas avec dégustation du vin aux ananas et nous n’avons pas été déçu ! Guidé tout au long de la visite par le propriétaire des lieux, nous avons pu découvrir comment l’ananas est cultivé aux Açores. De nombreuses explications nous ont été fournies et cette superbe visite s’est terminée par une dégustation du vin aux ananas accompagnée de fromages locaux en terrasse, à côté du restaurant. Un superbe moment avec, en prime, la possibilité, si on le souhaitait, de tester le jacuzzi situé dans l’une des serres de la plantation ! Sublime !

We had an amazing experience at Herdade do Ananas! We stayed a full week and the service was excellent. The answer to every question was yes. We came in part because they said they could accommodate our food allergies and they really did. We had good vegetarian food safe for the allergies every day and we felt very welcome as an LGBTQ couple. The grounds are beautiful and it is close to the city but quiet. The jacuzzi is huge and nice, the restaurant is nice, the room is simple but nice, and the bed is very comfortable. The private balcony is huge. Could not believe the low price. Easy 5 stars!

Great boutique hotel where you can get a very interesting tour of the pineapple plantation. Excellent evening meal which means you don‘t have to go into town to a restaurant. Atmosphere in the dining room is a bit spartan, but quality of ingredients and cooking was very good. They‘ll try to make you drink the pineapple wine which is an interesting experience, but I can‘t imagine many people will finish the bottle. We couldn‘t understand why they don‘t offer a glass as an aperitif. Rooms are comfortable (particularly good beds) and spotless. The one disappointment was breakfast. Why such a good hotel would offer a jug of instant coffee in the morning is a mystery.

Great staff, spacious rooms, comfortable bed, good breakfast, amazing dinners. We are so happy we decided to stay here thru our stay it was a great base as we explored the island. It is honestly a steal and they could charge more per night no problem. Do the free pineapple tour. And eat at least one dinner here, it was the best dinners we had during our stay on the island. The only note I would make both for this hotel and the whole island is rent a small compact rental car it is mostly what is available for a reason.

We were lucky enough to stay here for the first part of our honeymoon in the Azores. We never wanted to leave! What a perfect place. I can honestly say it is probably one of my favourite places I have ever stayed. Lovely staff, friendly, funny, helpful. Very interesting pineapple tour of the grounds. Great spa in the plantation. EXCELLENT restaurant, so good we went back a second time. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for everything!

I think this was probably one of the most magical places I have ever stayed. The rooms was so beautiful and clean. The breakfast was amazing . The entire experience was incredible and one not to be missed! Staff was attentive and so kind.

What an incredible experience! The location is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable. The service and attention to detail were impressive without being pretentious-the staff were kind and thoughtful. For example, upon learning we had a very early flight, they left us a bag of snacks to take on our way out. This is a truly relaxing, romantic spot. We hated to leave. And the food is amazing! Highly recommend.

Breakfast: excellent breakfast. Served in good mood. Fresh local products (cheese, charcuterie,) especially super fresh and warm bolo levedo, sweet potato bread plus other sorts of bread, home made jam (pineapple, grape, …) etc. Room: clean and comfortable. Simply furnished. Bathroom functional and clean. Sound isolation of the door not so good. Otherwise quiet night. Location: unique location just inside the ananas plantation. Not far from the center of Ponta Delgada, 5min drive by car. Free parking inside the plantation Free visit of plantation. Very interesting. Dinner possible at the location, very tasty.

Amazing little boutique hotel in Ponta Delgada. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (don't know all their names, but one of them was Filip). The place looks nice and cosy and is located on a pineapple plantation, of which you get a free tour. Each morning you are served a nice fresh breakfast of good quality. There is a jacuzzi in one of the plantation greenhouses, which we found a slightly odd choice (we like to enjoy a jacuzzi at night for example under the stars, not exactly in a greenhouse, but that's our preference). Everything in the room worked well and the shower and beds were very good. Just be aware that it is a very noisy old building so that you may wake up from other guests talking in the hallway or shutting their door. Also a nice feature are the bikes that you can use for free. Overall a very good experience!
