Situated next to a road with busy traffic, there is constant noise coming into the flat. This is especially true during the summertime (May-August) when the weather gets warm and the room warms up to an average of 23-24 degrees, which requires the window to be opened to cool down the room. However, during nighttime, there are lots of people who tire whistle, which leaves you with a choice between poor sleep due to noise or due to boiling in the room. Noise is also caused by residents above your flat, as the footsteps can be heard very well. Unfortunately, I had a neighbor with elevated nocturnal activity levels. Some residents smoke on their balconies and this also easily travels to your room. Blinds in the room don't do the job, for poor sleepers, a facemask is a must (+ earplugs). The common area is often trashed by the residents. It has also been difficult to use it for studying or working, as there are often kids shouting and running around. Multiple instances of theft have been reported. Has a good connection to the city centre and grocery stores close by. Easy to get settled as there is no extensive bureaucracy involved at any step. Probably some of the best options for those looking for a short stay on budget but for those looking for a longer stay (6+ months), you can do a lot better for this price in Tallinn.
