When walking to the room, we knew we were not going to like it. The carpet is in serious need of shampooing, stains all over. The room has a musky smell and no doubt needed a carpet shampooing. It was clean though. Outlet covers we’re broken, faucet handles came off in your hand and the shower floor has little support.

the hotel deserves a zero. dirtiest hotel room ever stayed. floors were dirty and stained. the whole room was uncleaned. i don’t understand how choice hotel allows rooms to be rented. the elevator license was 2 years old. pool had yucky green stuff in it. chairs in lobbies were dirty and stained.

Dirty old hotel. The franchise owners needs to spend a little more time and money on this property. Smelled bad, badly ripped chair in the room, shower glass looked smoked but it wasn't. Sleep Inn's used to to be great budget friendly hotels, but now they are getting old and neglected. I am a Choice Hotels member and now having second thought about staying a member.

It's a Sleep Inn so I'm not expecting the Ritz, but it was so much worse than expected. Check in was easy and the staff member was pleasant. As the family walked to our room I noticed the stained hallway carpet but hoped they saved the upkeep for inside the rooms. They didn't. The most annoying part was the shower which audibly dripped all night long. The room was in disrepair including the TV... It was like the cable wasn't screwed in tightly because all the channels had wavy lines across the screen and some channels had the bonus of being in black and white. Beds appeared to be clean but were bouncy to the point that it felt like if you got to close to the edge you would be rolled into the floor. Also, toilet CREAKED as you sat making us nervous that it was going to break. We picked this hotel for proximity to i95, but there are several hotels within a block I'd recommend another one. I did provide feedback to the hotel directly and received a nice email in response asking for us to consider staying there again. We won't unless I see other reviews that problems are fixed.

The carpet in the hotel was so nasty looking.! There were dark spots all over the carpet in the hallway. The breakfast buffet was not very inviting. We have stayed at other Sleep Inns that were much cleaner than this. I doubt we will stay at one again.

Broken exposed GFI switch over the sink, didnt want to plug in the hair dryer.Dirty, clock didn't work. No TV guide. Pool closed due to covid, yet all green, but Comfort Inn operating. Suppose to get 200 points thru choice for Gold Member. Gal had no clue, yet the sign was on the counter. Vending machines out of order.Breakfast items were cold, and the coffee. Killed 2 roaches. Good location too bad, worst place I ever stayed......by the way wanted to leave but no place to go all booked.

Email sent to corporate Good evening, I am writing to complain about the poor service and condition of Sleep Inn Gateway (GA 370) located at 17013 Abercorn Street. I reserved this hotel approximately 2-3 weeks prior to my planned vacation. On the day arrived, approximately at 9:30 in the evening I was attended to by someone who referred to themselves as “Tan”. He was very rude and disrespectful from the moment my family and I arrived at the hotel. He was never at the front desk. I had to knock on the door for him to come out. He can be heard giggling and socializing with others. After unlocking my room door I sat on the left bed and lifted the sheets to lay down, I immediately observed blood stains on the comforter. I quickly went back to the front desk and TO NO SURPRISE “Tan” was not at the front desk. I had to knock in order for him to come to the desk. I explained to him the situation and he responded that he had no one to change the sheets. His words exactly, “We have no one available. If you want to go then go.” I interpreted this as EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE and INCONSIDERATE. He only allowed me 10 minutes to decide what I was going to. I explained to him that I had been on the road for several hours and had two young hungry and exhausted children anxious to settle down for the night. He showed no compassion and told me he didn’t care and get out immediately. Before giving me a receipt of receipt of the refund I requested he yelled at me several time to get out. He did this in front of my 5 and 6 year old children. As mentioned before, he was completely RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL. I will share my experience with whoever will listen to prevent this from happening to any other guest Since there are several cameras on site I encourage you to look at the recorded video. I was in complete disbelief of the inconvenience I was placed in by this hotel and disrespectful receptionist. Looking for convenient stay near I-95 on trip to Florida and this property is just off the Interstate on the south side of Savannah. Property is located away from the roadways, so not much outside noise. The walls are fairly thin though so noise between rooms is evident. Property shows its age - some wear on min-fridge door and on shower door, as well as general wear. But everything functioned properly. The TV had to be programmed / channel search before any channels were available. The stopper for the sink was removed and lying next to the sink. The one-piece shower stall had a surprisingly slippery floor and the water controls did not allow for much water pressure except for only hot water, There were plenty of electrical outlets but no USB ports, and there was no in-room safe. The complimentary wifi worked well. The free breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage and make-your-own waffles, as well as cold cereals, breads, yogurts, orange juice, and empty coffee servers. Staff were cordial and appropriately attentive. Ample parking and a walkable area with restaurants nearby. Not sure I would stay again, as other options are nearby.
