Hôtels près de Martin Hochmeister House, Sibiu

Nous avons séjourné dans ce grand hôtel avec un groupe de tours et il était bon, dites, 3.5 hôtel étoile. Il était bien situé, à seulement 1 km de la place principale et offrait une chambre confortable, un restaurant/sensation de petit déjeuner. La chambre a toutes les besoins d'un sèche-cheveux, d'un congélateur, de frigo et de Wi-Fi gratuit, bien que la douche ait peut-être été un peu plus forte. Le restaurant de l'hôtel a dîné une nuit, ce qui a entraîné une légère tristesse - et c'est le personnel qui a été difficile à trouver. Le petit déjeuner était bon, avec une gamme de plats chauds et froids et donc satisfaisant. Passant une seule nuit là-bas, nous n'avions pas besoin d'utiliser n'importe quelle autre facilité qui aurait pu être disponible.

Great accommodation, beautiful room, very clean and especially very professional crew. I arrived on march 31st, my birthday and at the reception desk I've received a bottle of wine ”with compliments”... Very nice! The hotel is on the center of the city 5 minutes walk from the Brukenthal Museum and The City Hall. Very rich and tasty breakfast. We will be back for sure!

L'hôtel est dans une petite rue, très calme, à une dizaine de minutes à pied de la vieille ville, cet hôtel dispose de dix chambres, petites et chics. Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur, il est plus difficile de transporter de gros bagages à l'étage. La décoration de la chambre est plus moderne, climatisation split, équipée de machine à café et bouilloire, et la TV peut recevoir la CGTV. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de variétés pour le petit déjeuner, plusieurs sortes de pains et de charcuterie, et quelques noix, concombres et poivrons rouges. Vous pouvez demander au serveur des omelettes. C'est le seul plat chaud. Les grandes serviettes de bain dans la chambre sentaient très mauvais. On ne sait pas s'il n'a pas été nettoyé ou stocké.

In fact, I had a reservation, but I refused to stay at the hotel due to the conditions and the rudeness of the staff (who were probably following the owner's instructions). The German-named hotel, a rip-off, was pretty much like the one I got with Johannis. You check in, go to your room, and find that it's very hot. You fiddle with the high-tech AC control system on a tablet embedded in the wall, only to discover that it's already set to the minimum temperature with the ventilation at maximum, yet it still displays 27 degrees in the room. You take off your shoes and sit by the ventilation grille, noticing a slight breeze (and I'm not exaggerating, just a slight breeze) that probably aims for 25-26 degrees. I've spent several years cumulatively in hotels, so I know their tricks. I open TripAdvisor and search for reviews, and of course, all the ones from the summer period complain about the lack of AC. I go down to the reception and ask the lady there if they have any rooms where the AC works and if they won't shuffle me from room to room as they did with other tourists who had written about this ”strategy,” probably devised by the rude owner. The lady assures me that she will solve my problem: two more rooms and luggage tours through the hotel, only to find out that it was exactly as I suspected: no room could provide a decent temperature. The lowest was 26 degrees with the AC running at maximum for 5 hours (in a colleague's room who had arrived earlier). I don't understand two things: How does a place like this get a 4-star rating? Probably the same way gas stations between buildings do. What kind of owner is so rude and stingy that they won't solve the problem and won't instruct their staff to try to fool the customer by shuffling them from room to room, even though they have reviews from 2022 pointing out the issue? PS: I mustn't forget two more aspects: brown wooden doors in a design with white and gray in the rooms; it's as if a blind person thought of the color combination. The parking lot might be enough for 10% of the rooms, and the reception lady encourages you to park at the nearby Mega Image supermarket where the parking spaces are marked as for the store's customers. When you ask if that's not a problem, you're told to put your car in a less noticeable spot in the back; otherwise, the store staff might notice and come to ”complain” about it. This is Romanian tourism (even with a German name) in the ”land of well-done things.”

La chambre est particulièrement propre et grande. Il y a un café Liton gratuit dans la cuisine. Ce prix peut être dit que cet hôtel de qualité peut être considéré comme un super-chef. Vous pouvez également voir la montagne de neige loin de la balcone.

Un endroit merveilleux pour rester à Sibiu. Il est situé à quelques pas de la vieille ville de Sibiu, près de toutes les attractions. Les propriétaires sont très courtoissés, prêts à aider dans n'importe quel problème. Tous les composants sont cool, très propre et propre. Le petit déjeuner est très goûté, avec beaucoup de produits traditionnels fabriqués à la main.

Can't go wrong with downtown classic. Just a stroll away from the old center with all its history, bars and restaurants, the Ramada Sibiu kinda has it all. Location, view, generous apartments with kitchenette for families, decent indoor and outdoor parking (upon availability - no reservations), large restaurant and plenty of meeting space. Yup, they sometimes have a dodgy elevator and no pool, but hey, no one's perfect! Tip: try to get a room opposite the elevators at a superior level so that you can enjoy the view - you van see the mountains on a clear day ;)
