Aegean Wave - Faros

The hosts Antonios and his wife are extremely generous, welcoming and lovely people. The apar**ent was stunning, spotless and you could tell a lot of thought, pride and love had been put into creating a very lovely place to stay from the well appointed kitchen to the spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Parking was good and Wifi excellent. It's in a lovely position, near to Loutraki and Glossa, but peaceful. The view from the large balcony/ terrace is outstanding! There were plenty of loungers, a table and chairs where we had dinner watching the sunset. We only stayed one night as we had already booked a week on Skopelos as part of a package holiday, but decided we wanted to see more of the island. I wish we could have stayed longer and I hope to visit again. Upon leaving we were given a jar of fruit which I shared with my father today and it was lovely! Don't hesitate to book if relaxing in peace with an amazing view and wonderful hosts is what you are looking for.

The whole thing from start to finish, was a mistake. We shouldn't have booked this hotel in the first place. First, it isn't as close to town as er thought, based on the description. You have to walk approx 1 mile up a steep hill to get to it from the port. Second, the owner's attitude was shocking to say the least. When we arrived, he insisted on seeing and photocopying our passports. Had no problem showing our passports, but I didn't wish to have them photocopied. I've been travelling all over the globe for years, never had such a peculiar request before. When I pointed that out to him, he said that's what the law says - when I asked evidende of such law, he was unable to produce any. He then claimed he is the president of some kind of local hotel owners club, which means nothing. I was trying to understand the reasoning for such behaviour. His response was that if we were criminals, then Police would like to know our details! What a nice way to welcome your guests, by implying they may be criminals! I explained storing a paper copy of my passport in his back office, wasn't a very secure way of handling personal data and I wasn't comfortable with it, but he wasn't listening. In the end he gave us a refund and we walked off. Thankfully, we found a place in the main Skopelos Town, which we ended up enjoying thoroughly, as Skopelos Town seemed to be a lot more civilised. We never returned to Glossa, nor we are planning to do so, ever again.

I had a wonderful experience at the Aegean Wave Hotel. The owners of the hotel, Mr. Antonis and Mrs. Andromachi as well as the rest of the hotel stuff was extremely accommodating and polite. I was blown up from the very first moment I got there. You can literally see the sea from everywhere; the restaurant where you also have your breakfast, lunch and dinner (Faros restaurant); from all the bedrooms and from the common terraces, where you can chill in the afternoon while watching the sunset. The best sunset views on the Island is in the area where the hotel is located (i.e. in Glossa Village). I couldn’t get enough of this local white wine served by the hosts on the terrace, while watching the sun going down. From there you can also see the nearby islands of Skiathos and Arkos. In relation to the bedroom, the place is spacious and gets cleaned daily and they also put you clean towels every day. The terrace of the bedroom was huge and very cozy. The bed mattress and pillows are very comfortable. Overall the place is quiet and peaceful. I definitely recommend the restaurant of the hotel named “Faros”. Fresh local dishes are served daily.

The room was comfortable and clean. The owner and the staff were all kind and willing to help. The view of my room was unique. A nice, simple breakfast with handmade choices. It is not close to the main city of Skopelos, but there are still things to do which can be found near the hotel. Highly recommend it!

Schöne Unterkunft, in der Nähe vom Ort Glossa. Zimmer sauber, groß mit traumhaftem Blick aufs Meer. Große Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen bei Sonnenuntergang ein. Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt, auch wenn man diese nicht auf den Boden gelegt hatte. Hygieneartikel vorhanden, sowie Moskitonetze an jedem Fenster. Unser Zimmer verfügte sogar über zwei Klimaanlagen. Parkplätze im Hof vorhanden.

Seconda volta allo Aegean Wave, situato sulla collina che sormontata il porto di Loutraki, la parte più tranquilla di Skopelos. La posizione è splendida, con la vista sul porticciolo e l'infinito del mare davanti, proprio dove si possono guardare tramonti stupendi. La camera era la Andromaki, spaziosa, con angolo cottura, e ampio bagno, ogni confort presente, A/C, wifi, tv, frigo, tutto, tutto. . Ma il terrazzo... Il terrazzo, enorme e affacciato a picco sul mare, una meraviglia! La colazione self serv, si consuma sotto un pergolato di uva, su un terrazzo a picco sul mare, la giornata non può iniziare in un modo migliore. Il Sig. Antonio è la Sig.ra Andromaki sono persone splendide, ospitali, a noi è sembrato di far parte della famiglia. È un luogo magico, silenzioso, ritrovi te stesso, ritrovi la pace che nn c'è più. Appena possibile ritorniamo. Grazie di tutto Antonio e Andromaki. 💋
