Hickman Hill Hotel

A Friendly welcome from the team at this family run hotel . Clean and comfortable bedroom with generous bathroom. We had a drink in the bar and enjoyed a freshly prepared tasty breakfast. Great place for a single night stopover or if working in the region.

An excellent independent hotel. The welcome was warm and the food - breakfast and dinner - especially good (the owners are both trained chefs). Our room was a good size with a view over the well kept garden and the facilities included a fridge.

Lovely conversion with pleasant & welcoming owners. Food was great, rooms were clean & it's a nice & quiet location. Garden is beautiful & well kept. Highly recommended. ----------------------------------------------------------

This is a fantastic place to stay! We will definitely be staying again. The rooms were comfy and warm. The amenities were great, and the overall ambience of the venue and grounds were lovely. Breakfast was excellent, and the evening meals were outstanding; delicious and good value. We came for a track day at Blython Park on our motorbikes. Dot provided us with secure overnight parking. The bikes were very safe, and we had no issues. I honestly couldn't fault my stay. I have lived and worked in the hotel trade most of my life. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

A proper run independent hotel. Comfy beds, nice large bedrooms and the food was fantastic. Home made, high quality ingredients with nice big portions. Bear in mind - if traveling by motorbike, they have a secure parking option behind a locked gate which is super secure and gave us peace of mind. This was a huge bonus for us. Would definitely return.

Stayed for one night with work. First impressions were lovely : gardens are beautiful, staff really friendly and rooms are nice. The food is delicious, homemade good quality meals. It’s definitely worth paying for the breakfast. The only downside was a long humming / vehicle engine noise throughout the night that kept me awake a while and the room could have used something scented as it did smell of washed towels. Try to avoid the top car park if you can, as during my stay a man got his van stripped in the night as he was tucked away up top. Not the hotels fault but something to be wary of.

Stayed four nights at this hotel while attending a course nearby. It is an excellent small hotel. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped. Staff are all welcoming and the food is great. There was nothing not to like and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I came to the Disco night, the place was decorated beautifully the food was out of this world and so much value for money - the staff were so friendly and helpful I would definately come back what a beautiful venue thank u for an amazing night

We read the reviews before going and were looking forward to a nice family meal. We don’t know the area and had booked the venue for a special occasion. We were all surprised on arrival as the restaurant/experience wasn’t what we were expecting. The decor is very dated and tired. The menu was very limited. We read the reviews beforehand and were pleased someone had recently said there was a good selection for vegetarians. We strongly disagree. The menu has no options on it. When asked we were told that there were two vegetarian options a cheese pie or potato curry. There was no vegan option and the vegetarian with food intolerances really struggled as did the children in attendance. We wouldn’t return, we felt that the food was poor, options very limited and decor off putting with cobwebs on the light fittings and in need of a refurbishment. HOWEVER I have to say that the one member of staff we saw was very friendly and welcoming. There were other diners in the restaurant when we were present and they clearly enjoyed their experience and recommended deserts to us which they thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst it wasn’t for us, other’s recommended it.
