Leonardo Plaza Ashdod

We stayed in the penthouse, the very top room on the right with the funky roof you see in the pictures. It was a bit nervewracking with young kids because the windows just open - no screen, no lock - but hey, you are in Israel. The hotel is really beautiful but it was packed. The beach was lovely during the week days - weekends were packed and the crowds left garbage everywhere. You expect a Penthouse to be perfect but there were literally cracks in the wall and broken pieces of ceiling. A few tweaks and it would be 5 stars. The GM at the time, Ari, made our stay wonderful!

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. Very close to the beach which is important to us. The staff is very kind and patient and the rooms and clean and comfortable. The food is not bad and very nice vibe.

Hotel bastante confortável. Quarto bem amplo, organizado e ótimo serviço de limpeza. Área da piscina também é ótima. Por estar em um bairro residencial, é um lugar bem silencioso. Como chegamos de madrugada o hotel ofereceu um box de coffee, o que melhorou ainda mais a nossa experiência.

отель на 4 звездочки с натяжкой ,очень хорошие завтраки ,море еды,до моря 10 мин спокойным шагом ,бассейн не очень большой ,грязноватый,в лобби есть кафе только молочные продукты и рыба ,нет дессертов ,тренажерный зал пускает с 18 лет за отдельную плату,детям лет так скажем с 10 скучновато.в 5 мин ходьбы есть небольшой супермаркет и автобусная остановка

The hotel is okay and functional. We stayed there for 3 days, yet were traveling and sightseeing during the day. You can easily walk dawn to the beach and have a drink or dinner there. The hotel is safe yet not far from the border of Gaza, though we did not realize during our stay there.

I came during a not quiet time in Ashdod With my team to cover what is happening in the south The staff accommodated us properly The rooms are clean There are laundry services There is breakfast In addition, dinner can be purchased The room served our needs for work The place is quiet There are safe places Overall very pleasant

To start with, we arrived and approached reception and asked to check in. The woman seat d there said that she was from security and couldn't help and all reception staff meeting were on a break. I went back 10 minutes later and asked for a manager. Eventually a rude grumpy woman came out and without so much as a greeting (or a response to mine) proceeded to check us in. Check-in was an unnecessary unpleasant experience. The pool area was dirty with food remains all over the place. This attracted lots of flies. The pool is a great size and has a glass fence enclosure all around it, which is good for those with toddlers who may run into the pool. The lifeguard (who looked like he was 18) was either on his phone or playing with it, rarely paying attention to all the children in the pool. He took a break and left the pool enclosure going to a corner by the fence to have a cigarette (by the "no smoking" sign), leaving the pool enclosure unattended. The rooms are clean, but dated and in need of a major renovation. There are also badly planned with the minibar cupboard sticking out from under the dresser. This hotel has a great sea view and is close to the beach. It has so much wasted potential. A bit of staff training, refreshing the rooms and better constant pool area cleaning could mak this a wonderful hotel. For now, it's a mediocre 3 star Fawlty Towers
