New Jacquline Heritage Houseboats

I was looking for a quiet, peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle houseboat stay. This one fit the bill, perfectly. I was visiting Kashmir with my extended family including kids. We stayed at a New Jacquline Heritage houseboat for 1 night and we had a wonderful time. We loved the hand crafted wooden interior. It gave a royal look. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. If you want a more luxurious experience I’d recommend renting the room on the terrace (penthouse). Late evening, we went on the Shikara. Majid, our attender helped us rent the Shikara rides. Majid is the best attender you can ask for. He is extremely courteous, helpful, and kind. After each meal, especially dinner, he would stay up late and clean all the dishes. He is an awesome host (Is this “Kashmiriyat” ?). The Shikara boat drivers hired by Majid were also great. They explained to us about the floating garden, and the organic farming that is being done on the lake. They also showed us the islands in the lake that were inhabited by the local people. If you are staying at New Jacqueline Heritage houseboats, I’d highly recommend getting the Shikara rides suggested by Majid. The manager and the owner were also very courteous. They called me find out if I needed anything. Also, there is a Kashmiri art and Shawl store owned by Aamir behind the houseboat which is great as well. We bought some awesome shawls from this store. Overall, we had a great time and felt 1 night was too short. I will definitely go back to stay here, maybe during March/April next time. The stay was just awesome. If you need to unwind yourself for couple of days under the blue sky, beside a tranquil lake and lofty mountains guardians...this is the best place. The houseboat stay were homely and efficient. Food was also very good. Our caretaker Mazid was superb.

I've been here so many times! The houseboat and view are just breathtaking. The housekeeper is amazing and provides top-notch service. And oh my, the food is just delicious. The top room has the most amazing mountain view right from your bed. Sami, the owner, is incredibly kind and always ready to help out. It really feels like my second home now. I'm already looking forward to visiting again by the end of the year. They truly are the cream of the crop around the lake. Thanks for everything.

One of the best experience in our 10-day-trip in India. Everything here is excellent. 1000 points for sights and scenery. It’s beautiful both in sunrise and sunset The rooms are comfortable, clean, cosy and well-decorated. You guys must give a look for the private balcony room at the rooftop. You can take a whole view of the Lake from here. All of staffs are friendly, kind and helpful. Always smile and bring us a lot of joy when we stayed there. We felt like we are home all the time. Besides, There are many things that were upgraded compare to the first time i stayed there in 2022, of course in a much better way. And one of the most important points is, the food here is amazing. Im quite sure that you cant find these delicious meals when you leave the houseboat and move to other places. And it makes me curious how it will be on the next time i visit this place again.

I had a very pleasant stay at New Jacqueline Heritage Houseboats. The property was beautifully kept and very comfortable. The amenities such as A/C and wi-fi were very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. They arranged a shikara ride on the lake, which was a highlight. Would highly recommend staying here!

This house boat is amazing, rooms are very beautiful with amazing interiors. They have fabulous living and dining area with the best view of lake. Even the service is amazing. Stuff is really really sweet and cooperative. Manzoor ji is a great host with amazing photography skills and great place for shopping as well
