Gwyndra House B&B

Excellent family run B&B Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable, I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time, might have to consider moving in permanently 😂 Great selection for breakfast but recommend the full English, good quality sausages and nice thick bacon. Location is a perfect base for exploring, close to Charlestown, and a short drive from Mevagissey and Fowey Great little find, we will definitely be returning

Gwyndra House is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is ideally situated a very short walk from the train and bus station. So easy to jump on a bus and visit some of the beautiful surrounding spots such as Mevagissy, Fowey and many more. The family that run it are extremely friendly and welcoming. Also great for advice about places to visit. The bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with en-suite facilities. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. So glad we were able to experience this perfect little gem. Would definitely recommend and return.

Spent 3 nights at Gwyndra House with friends - loved it . It’s location is spot on , just up the road from the train station , also handy for bus service to Eden Project / Lost Gardens of Heligan / Fowey to name but a few. The family are just the best , nothing is too much trouble . Rooms are great , good size , comfortable bed , private bathroom. All you need for making a cuppa & fridge on landing for wine - perfect 👍 Excellent value for money - Breakfast is top notch quality products, We had the best time and felt very looked after . Considering the prices of some B&Bs & Hotels in Cornwall we struck gold . Thanks Gwyndra House - Definitely will be back x

Lovely accommodation, great breakfast, variety of choices. Proprietors very friendly& helpful with advice getting around & where/how to visit, short walk from train/bus station. Easy reach of many gorgeous locations Definitely would go again!

This was a fantastic experience, the property is spacious and clean. The bed was so comfy, and the shower was perfect. The breakfast was perfect and the continental breakfast was beautiful especially the yoghurt. The hosts Adelaide and Steve were the best hosts, giving us maps and ideas of places to visit and how to get there. The only thing wrong was we couldn't stay longer. The train station was 2 mins away, so we didn't have to bother getting taxis or lugging luggage from the bus/train station. The four of us had the best time and will be returning. Thank you Adelaide and Steve. See you again soon x

Lovely family owned and operated B&B near the centre of St Austell. Very friendly hosts. We had a great room with all the expected facilities and even an all important shower with decent water pressure! Breakfast can be chosen the night before froma wide selection of options. They even accommodated some specific requests that we made for our breakfast. Well located to get to surrounding attractions like the Eden Project and others will definitely stay here again. 😎

Stayed at the Gwyndra Guest House for two days on our visit to Cornwall. The check in time is shown as 4pm but we arrived in St Austell early and rang to see if we could check in earlier. They were very helpful and allowed us in over an hour earlier which saved us sitting around waiting. When we arrived we were shown our room which was lovely, spacious and airy. It was shown as a pet friendly room which worried me a little as we are not dog owners but there was absolutely no sign or smell of any dogs. The room was spotless and smelled lovely and fresh. There is a small shared fridge provided for guests which was helpful and you have a private entrance so you can come and go as you please. A big plus was the roof terrace where we spent time soaking up the sum with a G&T or two. The owners could not be friendlier - they were brilliant. Steve helped us with our case both when arriving and leaving and I really appreciated that. Breakfast is lovely. freshly cooked to order and using really good quality bacon and sausages - not supermarket own brands like you get some places. We would definitely recommend this place and would definitely go back if we are visiting the area again.

Such a friendly place, both Adelaide and her partner were very friendly and so accommodating throughout. The Guesthouse was clean and the room was lovely. It was nice having a separate entrance to use throughout the stay so you didn't feel like you were disturbing anyone. Breakfast each morning was top notch, with a great vegan option that set us up for the day. So convenient having access to a guest fridge too! The location is great, right by central St Austell and Adelaide gave us some recommendations. The Eden Project is also right around the corner. Would highly recommend (and will be!). The mug tree is also a unique feature XD

Lovely Easter weekend stay at Gwyndra House for a family wedding at nearby Knightor Winery. Super comfortable room with a great shower plus parking. Breakfast was super tasty and the hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend
