After a two-year delay, we finally made it to Newfoundland. Our first and favourite stop was a 3-night stay at the Georgetown Inn. Cindy and John were warm and welcoming hosts. We absolutely loved the Theresa Suite. It was very spacious and clean. It even had double sinks, a clawfoot tub, and two entrances :) Cindy and John have thought of every detail- from the keyless entries on the main door and each suite, to individualized blackboards in each room, to wrapped cookies on the pillows. We loved the yummy personalized breakfasts each morning. The breakfast room was lovely and had such great character. We were spaced enough for it to feel private but it also enabled guests to chat with one another. Cindy had tons of stories about the area- it was a joy listening to her and getting to know both her and John. We felt like longtime friends by the time we left. John happily gave us day trip suggestions, which did not disappoint. The location was perfect too. It was a short walk to the downtown area and an even shorter walk to The Rooms. Coming back to a 24-hour tea station and daily homemade treats was a perfect way to finish each day. We would highly recommend staying here. We miss it already!
