Amazing, kind, professional, nostalgic. Staying with Raden Patah was one of the highlights of my 2-month trip back to Java. It is a perfect combination of true Indonesian hospitality with international standards. I especially loved having my morning coffee in the courtyard, listening to the keroncong ... 1. The front desk guy has a good attitude; he could be a bit more confident. 2. The girls and some of the guys at the dessert hall could be a bit more open and less shy. We’re travelers, not predators. Please don’t look at us with strange or guarded eyes—it makes us feel quite uncomfortable.

strategic location , easy to find culinary and easy to reach from train station

This hotel is located approximately 7-10 mins by bike from the old city center. There are cafe around where you can have breakfast or order it to your room for 45 k as it seems that there is no restaurant in the hotel. I booked the superior double room with 1 king size bed or 2 twin beds, while booking I asked for 2 twin beds. But on arrival I got a king size bed, however I mentioned that I asked for 2 twin beds while booking. I was offered to pay 50k additionaly per night to have a suit with 2 twin beds. The suite was exactly the same room but with 2 twin beds, what was a bit strange. I would recommend management to place soap holder next to the sink as it's not convenient to go to the shower to get some soap so to clean your hands. Also would be nice to have towels without the holes, maybe it's time to replace the towels with the new ones. Employees at the reception were nice and friendly.

Last but certainly not least, the receptionist deserves special mention. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the receptionist was incredibly helpful in answering my questions about local attractions and dining options. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile made a fantastic first impression and continued throughout my stay whenever I interacted with the front desk. It's rare to encounter such genuinely helpful and pleasant staff, and it truly enhanced my experience. In conclusion, this hotel is a gem. If you're looking for a place that offers exceptional cleanliness, high quality, a seamless experience, and fantastic service from the moment you arrive, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Nice Stay with Great Location and Local Vibes I stayed at Surya Boutique Hotel Semarang and overall had a pretty good experience. The location is great — super close to both Poncol and Tawang train stations, so it's really convenient if you're catching a train. There's also an Indomaret and Alfamart nearby, plus tons of street food at night. The nasi goreng and bakmi Jawa around the area were seriously good! Not far from the hotel, there's an old mosque built in 1802 is really beautiful and full of history. It’s a reminder that Semarang used to be an important port city, visited by Arab and Chinese traders. Worth a quick visit if you're into cultural spots. The only downside was the receptionist during check-in , she didn’t smile and wasn’t very welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. But later in the day and the next morning, a different receptionist was on duty and she was really lovely and friendly, which made up for it. Breakfast was okay for a 2-star hotel , simple but enough. Just a heads-up: there’s no hot water kettle in the room, so if you need hot water, you might need to ask the front desk. All in all, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a convenient and affordable stay in Semarang with some nice local flavor. Hope they keep improving!

La chambre est très belle, vous devez passer la petite rue pour y aller. De nombreuses cuisines sont à proximité. Le personnel est très utile. La chambre est petite, sans fenêtre, vous pouvez entendre les gens parler ou marcher. La chambre de parking est petite et limitée, mais pas trop inquiet, ils ont la sécurité pour vous aider.
