Hôtels 2 étoiles à Yufu

It’s the third time we came to Yufuin. Previously, we stayed in onsen hotels with meals provided. This time we are staying for 2 months in Japan to experience the local life, and Yufuin was our third stop, where we stayed for 6 nights. The service is top notch. The host responded very quickly whenever I had queries, and very clear instructions for free pick-up were given days before check-in. As we stepped in the house, the air- conditioner had already been turned on there were 3 big bottles of water in the fridge which made us feel so welcome. They collected our trash every day and asked us what we needed. The guesthouse is an independent unit full of beautiful Japanese decorations. It was sparkling clean and thoughtfully furnished with everything you need. A first-aid box was provided. We were given 12 sets of clean towels and toilet amenities, including toothbrushes. We have stayed in different apartments before and have never experienced this. More importantly, the kitchen was well equipped with everything—many cutlery items of different sizes and even wine glasses. There were a hot pot and a frying pan, a toaster, rice cooker, coffee machine, and even a dishwasher. You can't imagine there is even a massage chair! The bathroom was designed like an onsen. You can simply add some onsen powder to enjoy a hot bath. You can easily access different attractions on foot. The location is about a 20-minute walk to the nearby supermarkets, 25 minutes to the main shopping streets, and 30 minutes to the JR station. If you drive, it is even easier. For us, we enjoyed walking and seeing the beautiful scenery, so it was not a problem for us even though we didn’t drive. Every day we walked to the supermarkets and bought fresh produce to cook. We had so much fun making different dishes and hot pot. When we asked for a whetstone, the host quickly gave us theirs, and the next day, they bought us a new one. They even gave us sake as a gift. On the day of check-out, the host drove us to the JR station and helped us store our luggage in the visitors’ centre. Next time when we come to Yufuin, we will definitely stay here again. It’s really great value for money.

I recently stayed at a traditional Japanese onsen hotel, and it was an amazing experience. The hotel offers private onsens, which provided an incredible level of privacy and relaxation—perfect for anyone trying onsen for the first time. It was so peaceful and serene, and the entire experience felt like a perfect escape from the stresses of daily life. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, offering traditional Japanese dishes that gave me a true taste of the local culture. It was light and satisfying—just what you need to start the day. The tatami bed was also an experience in itself, offering a unique and authentic Japanese way to rest. I slept incredibly well on it, and it added to the overall charm of staying in such a traditional setting. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcomed and taken care of throughout my stay. The location was great—easy to access, with Tang Zhi Ping Road just a short distance away for anyone looking to explore. Plus, they offer free parking, which made it super convenient to travel around. Overall, this hotel is the perfect place for rest and relaxation, especially for those who want to try onsen in a private and peaceful setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic, calming experience!

Une maison d'hôtes très confortable, d'une propreté et d'une hygiène irréprochables ; entrer dans la chambre fut une véritable révélation. La propriétaire était très accueillante ; bien que nous ne parlions pas la langue, elle a fait de son mieux pour nous aider à résoudre tous nos problèmes. Le seul « petit bémol » était l'emplacement légèrement excentré, mais c'est justement pour cette raison que l'endroit était si paisible, une véritable parenthèse loin du tumulte quotidien. J'ai particulièrement apprécié les créneaux horaires privés pour les sources thermales ; chaque chambre bénéficiait d'une séance de 50 minutes, idéal pour les voyageurs souhaitant profiter des bienfaits des sources thermales sans se ruiner dans un hôtel thermal.

Bien que l'emplacement soit à une certaine distance de la gare de Yufuin, l'environnement est très confortable et c'est un hébergement de style très japonais. Il y a environ une heure de source chaude privée le soir. Cet arrangement est trop convivial pour les personnes qui n'aiment pas les bains thermaux publics ! Le propriétaire et la propriétaire du B&B sont également très gentils. Ils expliqueront clairement toutes les installations et tous les arrangements lors de l'enregistrement, et nous donneront également une carte imprimée dessinée à la main des restaurants environnants pour notre référence. Ils sont vraiment prévenants et chaleureux. . Il nous fera également faire une petite visite des espaces communs du B&B. Malheureusement, je n’ai pas eu le temps d’utiliser leur salon de thé cette fois-ci. J'aime beaucoup le petit livre de messages dans la chambre. Il contient des petits partages et des sentiments écrits par différents invités qui ont déjà séjourné ici. J'ai tranquillement regardé les histoires qu'ils ont écrites, même si je ne comprenais pas certaines d'entre elles, c'était vraiment chaleureux. !

The staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious. 

The tatami room was clean and spacious. Walls are a bit thin. I could actually hear sound from next door or people walking around the hallway. The futon mattress was quite thin and the pillow too hard for me. Also, I found that the filters of humidifier were so dirty that I washed them myself. Toilets are shared by all guests but only one is for female (two for male). When I brushed my teeth and washed my face, I had to let the water run for a long time before hot water came out. ¥150 of hot spring tax was collected upon check-in, of which I was not informed in advance.

第一天進由布院已經下午4：30，老闆提前給我們的房間開足了空調，温泉等使用説明很是到位。怕我們不能趕在景點關門前遊玩，特地駕車帶我們去了童話小鎮。雖然最後還是關門了，也算是熟悉了線路。第二天還幫忙查詢了巴士時間，感恩！

I was travelling with my elderly mum and we were not driving. The property is like a private house, very good location along the main street. There were restaurants and onsen just beside the property. It was very well equipped with kitchenware and the bathroom got bath tub and also standing shower. Very clean and well maintained.

Yufuin Onsen Oyado Jinnouchi is within walking distance of the train station, making it easy to reach with luggage. However, check-in time is quite late at 5:00 p.m. The room is spacious but wasn't as clean as expected, and the same goes for the toilet and onsen. On a positive note, the lady at the hotel was very kind. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I’m unable to recommend this place.

我們從別府乘坐36號車到由布院車站，打車到酒店1400日元，其實應該提前2個車站下車步行會比較近。酒店附近沒有便利店，所以零食汽水最好在別府買好，或者在由布院買好。店主是一位很熱情的阿姨，哪怕不會很多英語都很積極跟我們溝通，阿姨準備的食物很新鮮，很美味。因為下雪温泉眼被雪結冰了。阿姨付了我們一家人5000日元到附近的温泉浸泡。房間打開窗户可以看到山景，如果是夏天或者1月的冬天的晴天，肯定更美了。房間暖氣熱水都很足夠。酒店旁邊的停車場成為孩子玩雪的天堂，積雪雖然不多，但對於南方的孩子值了。
