Le service est très bon, le personnel est très bon. La chambre est très confortable, très propre, les installations chaudes sont bonnes, vous voulez rester dans la chambre pendant la journée. La qualité de la nourriture est également très bonne. Très satisfaisante expérience.

Nous sommes arrivés en fin d'après-midi, la nuit tombait, et nous n'avons pas osé marcher. Prendre un taxi était la meilleure solution. (850 yens depuis la gare de Kintetsu Nara) L'endroit est un peu difficile à trouver pour les visiteurs qui viennent pour la première fois. L'extérieur est simple, mais l'intérieur, avec sa décoration et ses expositions, dégage une atmosphère typiquement japonaise et témoigne d'un grand souci du détail. Des fleurs de saison étaient disposées partout, créant une ambiance apaisante. Le personnel était aimable et courtois ; ils ont même porté nos bagages jusqu'à notre chambre, ce qui m'a beaucoup touché. Un grand merci ! La chambre était incroyablement confortable et la literie très agréable. La source thermale est artificielle. Le bain intérieur est petit, mais il y a de nombreux espaces pour se laver et une statue de Bouddha couché. Le bain extérieur est plus grand que le bain intérieur, mais il n'y a que deux espaces pour se laver. Quel dommage de ne pas avoir pu voir la pagode à cinq étages, car elle était en travaux ! Se baigner en hiver peut être assez froid, alors pensez à utiliser la baignoire intérieure ou à vous laver les cheveux dans votre chambre pour éviter d'attraper froid. Je reviendrai sans hésiter lors de mon prochain séjour à Nara.

We stayed at Mikasa Ryokan (万葉若草の宿 三笠旅館) in Nara, and overall it was a great experience — but there are definitely some things you should know and plan for in advance. 🏞 1. Location & Transportation The ryokan is located halfway up Mount Wakakusa, with beautiful views over Nara city — the scenery is stunning, especially at night. But getting up and down the mountain isn’t very convenient. At first, I thought the location was right near Todai-ji Temple and would be easy to access. Turns out: The mountain road is very narrow and winding, and it actually takes longer than expected. According to the staff, walking up the mountain is not allowed. There's a gate, and the staff inside don’t permit people to walk up. Luckily, the hotel offers a shuttle bus up the mountain, but you should arrange it with the hotel in advance. Once you’re at the ryokan, getting out isn’t very easy either. Even if you want to take a taxi, you need to book it in advance — it’s not like calling a cab from the street. So I’d recommend planning your itinerary carefully before you arrive. While Todai-ji Temple, Nara Park, and Kasuga Taisha are technically just at the bottom of the mountain, they’re not within walking distance from the hotel, so you’ll still need transport. 🛌 2. Room Experience We booked the Japanese-style room with a private open-air bath. I did quite a bit of research before booking: Sites like *********** say the room is about 28 sqm (307 sq ft) But Ctrip listed it as 56 sqm, which was confusing After checking in, I think 28 sqm is probably just the indoor area, and 56 sqm includes the balcony, private onsen, and garden area. The room is traditional Japanese-style with tatami floors and a low table in the center. In the evening, while we were out having dinner, staff came in and set up our futon beds for the night — a really nice touch. This was our first time sleeping on Japanese futons. It was surprisingly comfortable, and the room temperature was perfect. If you're traveling with kids, this type of setup could be extra fun. 3. Onsen Experience We tried both the public onsen and the private one in our room: The public bath areas are located on the first and second floors, with men’s and women’s baths alternating daily. They include both indoor and outdoor hot spring pools. The water is hot — after about 10 minutes, we felt totally warm and relaxed. The private bath in the room was also very enjoyable. The garden had high fences and trees for privacy, and the tub was perfectly sized for two people. 🍱 4. Meals We booked a plan that included both dinner and breakfast. One important thing to note — you need to confirm your dinner time with the hotel before arrival, because if you arrive after 7 PM, you might miss dinner. Dinner is served in private dining rooms, which gave us a cozy and quiet atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented and very Japanese — including Wagyu beef and sukiyaki. Breakfast was also very traditional — grilled fish, rice, and various small dishes. Personally, I prefer something lighter for breakfast, and there was no coffee, bread, or buns included. If you want coffee, you can get it later in the lounge near the lobby.

Loved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from 15:00pm-2:00am Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!! The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so We can taste more flavors And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go Back again!! Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night

This ryokan was amazing, the food the location the atmosphere. The public sento in the building was beautiful and the private tub in our room was amazing as well. Perfect service, great amenities, we even got a little gift! I can only recommend this place if you're looking for something truly special. Get the dinner and breakfast here, trust me!!!

L'hôtel est dans la forêt, et vous pouvez marcher le long de la route de montagne jusqu'à l'hôtel (ce serait gênant d'entrer pour récupérer vos bagages, vous pouvez prendre un taxi jusqu'à la porte de l'hôtel). Le paysage est si beau, quittant la zone touristique bruyante et se rapprochant de la nature. Le dîner est kaiseki, dans une salle de restaurant privée, une belle expérience ! Lors de l'enregistrement, l'heure du dîner et du petit-déjeuner sera fixée, l'heure de la salle de bain privée sera confirmée et le personnel de service viendra dans la chambre pour appeler. Le petit-déjeuner comprend du thé et du riz traditionnels, délicieux. La chambre est de style japonais traditionnel, pas de design de luxe discret. L'environnement est génial !

C'est à 5-8 minutes à pied de la gare de Kintetsu, au bout de la rue commerçante, très calme et très proche des attractions. Il y a Starbucks en bas, il y a une plate-forme au deuxième étage pour profiter du paysage et il y a un petit grand bain en bas. Bien que Nara soit petite, elle est très pratique pour voyager avec ses parents et on peut revenir se reposer à midi. C'est hygiénique et propre. Il est recommandé de préparer vous-même le petit-déjeuner. L'hôtel est également réservé de l'extérieur.

L'hôtel est à côté du palais Heisei. Il est très pratique pour se rendre aux attractions à proximité et le parking est gratuit. L'attitude de service du personnel est très bonne. Le petit-déjeuner et le dîner sont riches et délicieux, et ce sont tous des plats préparés. Après le dîner, vous pouvez également manger des nouilles dandan. L'eau thermale est très douce (source de chlorure) et agréable sur la peau. Les chambres sont spacieuses et entièrement équipées.

Nous avons adoré les chambres de style japonais. Le jardin est grand. Cependant, la propriété était un peu trop froide en hiver. Le propriétaire avait bloqué une des climatiseurs de la chambre, ne laissant qu'un seul allumé, ce qui n'était pas suffisant pendant la nuit. Nous avons souffert toutes les nuits et tôt le matin. Je suggère au propriétaire de mettre au moins un miroir dans la propriété, nous n'avons pas pu trouver de miroir pour se maquiller.
