Yes, the hotel is fairly old, and could do with a bit of redecoration, but it is honest about what it is and what it provides; A unique experience in historic settings. And the dinner we had - absolutely fabulous! And that location, combined with a gorgeous entrance - well worth it.

Very charming and beautiful hotel. One of the best hotels in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make wonderful recommendations. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food and drinks at the hotel is really good. Great experience.

A nice and chassis old Hotel with stile. But it looks as it was running for half speed in the winter. The clearing could have been better, and there was a smell in the Bath. Comment on this did not resolutte in any ofrer form the Hotel. But I had a nice room.

Delicate and pretty room with balcony. Very good beds. Great view to the fjord and the islands beyond. Nice bathroom but with poor exhaust. We ordered an upgraded stay, recommended: There was a bottle of sparkling wine chilled and ready in the room when we arrived, and eventually we could enjoy a well-composed and tasty 3 (4!) course dinner in the restaurant. The lobster soup was especially good! Next morning: Good and well-stocked breakfast. Thank you for us, we will be happy to come back.

The location and breakfast was great. The room was tiny. The bathroom: clogged sink, no airing so the only mirror was foggy for a long time after a shower. Toilet seat loose. Water leaking from the roof down on the bed. Bed not comfy. Do not recommend this place.

Very good hotell right by the waterfront in Stavern. A well kept old hotell, with individually decorated rooms. The room where clean, and I got a room with a beautiful view. Great food at breakfast and in the restaurant as well. Friendly staff.

Great hotel with loads of charm. The rooms are all different with nice decorations. Some of the bathrooms are a little old. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is as you expect from a hotel in this price range. The staff is really friendly and the bartender makes excellent margaritas.
