"Je recommande cet hôtel pour visiter la ville de Stirling, l'emplacement est parfait: en plein centre ville (quelque minute de marche du Château par exemple), avec parking privé et gratuit, pas loin non plus de la gare. La chambre était propre, bien chauffée, bien équipée (j'avais même une belle vue sur le Wallace Monument!); la literie excellente; la salle de bains moderne, produits de toilette de qualité. Nous avons dîné dans le restaurant de l’hôtel avec grande satisfaction, cuisine excellente et service très attentionné dans une ambiance élégante. Le petit déjeuner a été correct, le personnel là aussi très aimable: lovely! Seul bémol, le personnel à la réception: efficace mais très froid et pas du tout accueillant voire présent. Je me demande pourquoi Le Golden Lion Hotel n'a que 3 étoiles... il en mériterait 4!"

"My wife and I have just returned from a short break at Castle Walk B&B in Stirling. We had a very warm welcome from Jackie the owner who also guided us on where to park and information about the area. The room was very clean warm and comfortable, we slept well and breakfast was an ideal start to the day. Perfect location being in the center of Stirling. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this B&B."

"I really loved my stay The Allan Park. Such a nice cozy homie place. Very spacious room that has everything you need, staff is really helpful and friendly, cozy lounge room with a fireplace. The only thing I would suggest adding is the hook on a bathroom door for a towel. Would love to stay here in future and highly recommend for anyone."

Travelodge Stirling M80

"Despite being surrounded by motorways, there was surprisingly little if any traffic noise, other than on-site. We had paid extra to pick our own room so went for one on the other side of the building from the main car park. This may have been a mistake because the service road outside our window was lined by large lorries, two of which left by 5 a.m. early car departures my by quieter… The room was very clean and, being down the end of the corridor, quiet. This was also our choice, so there was less corridor noise to trigger our dog into barking. The service station is very small, but has a useful range of outlets, including Costa, Greggs, M&S food. Options for dog exercise are limited, although we did find a rough path through some trees that led about 100 metres up to a mobile phone mast, leading off the service road."

Fletcher's Restaurant Bar & Rooms

"I regularly visit Fletchers with family and friends. I had lunch today 16th April with a group of friends. The food was lovely in great surroundings. Fraser and Gemma catered for all our needs and nothing was any trouble. They were so helpful and friendly and an asset to Fletchers. I have known Fraser for many years and he is such a valuable member of staff. We will be back again soon. Thank you."

"Séjourné le 08/06/2023. Nous y avons séjourné dans le cadre d'un voyage organisé avec repas le soir, une nuit à l’hôtel et le petit déjeuner le matin. Dans l'ensemble les prestations étaient correctes même si on était loin des prestations du Hilton d'Aberdeen où nous avions séjourné la veille. Lit confortable, nourriture tout à fait correcte, un peu de marche à pied à travers les couloirs pour rejoindre la chambre. Le matin, j'ai été faire une petite promenade sur le sentier pédestre qui passe à coté de l’hôtel, un hôtel donc un peu bucolique mais qui reste correct tout de même"

"I had an absolutely fantastic stay. We stayed as part of an art retreat and it was great on every level. I loved my room, so beautifully decorated and we used the hot tub every day. The food was fabulous and all the staff were so friendly and attentive. I would absolutely recommend Rachel’s Farm whatever the occasion."

Aberfoyle Inn

"We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding near by. I explained that my husband has a bad back and we were offered a room in the cottage at the rear of the building. They did say there were stairs but not as many as in the main hotel. We checked in and were shown to the room which was out a fire exit, across an uneven courtyard and up a very steep flight of stairs. The room was dreadful. An old couch with one foot, 2 windows had blinds, one of which was broken, and one did not, the hanging rail was in the eves and the rail was so low you could not hang anything. Didn’t matter as there were no hangers and an old chair took up about 80% of the space. Bare plaster patch on the walls and the odd cobweb or two. We went down to the bar and the lady was very helpful and showed us 2 alternative rooms. We took one at the rear of the hotel and it was slightly better. Old furniture which had seen better days and the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was so soft and had a board underneath. The shower had a rusty soap stand and the water trickled out. We were told breakfast would be delivered and we are still waiting! Turns out a continental breakfast is served in the bar. We did not eat so cannot comment on the food but given that the fish and chip shop is part of the premises, you certainly got that aroma throughout the building. It such a shame that no investment is being made to this hotel as it’s in a great location and the bar has the promise to be something interesting. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful but I feel for them as they are trying their best in a very challenging building."
