Lovely quirky, immaculately clean and comfy room with many lovely personal touches. All staff were very welcoming and friendly and dog friendly too. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious ( best mushrooms ever). A lovely stay thanks

Went with some friends for our annual christmas get together/booze up and as always the 'cups came up trumps. a traditional pub with log fires and friendly staff. The rooms were immaculate, roomy and had all the facilities you need at a very good price. the bar team were excellent, and made out stay memorable. The (included) full English breakfast put paid to a miserable hangover and was delicious. We went last year too, and had a similar experience. The locals were friendly and overall i couldn't fault the place. we will be back for the same next year!! Thanks to the staff of the 3 Cups!

Lovely family lunch. All of our food was delicious. Local trout. Great sausage and mash, burgers and fish and chips. Nice local beers. Friendly staff, amazing old building. Just what we needed. Thanks

I've eaten this pub before when in Stockbridge but my latest visit was disappointing. Firstly, let me say, the pub has a really wonderful atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful and I'd actually recommend for a drinks only evening. The food however, really didn't impress. It's a very basic pub menu, which is fine but if you offer basic fare, it needs to be good quality and well cooked if you're charging restaurant prices. 3 anaemic, small, poor quality sausages on a bed of (ungarlicky) garlic mask and a bit of uncooked kale, doesn't hit the mark. When the waitress asked how it was, I commented that the kale wasn't cooked (I'm not someone who usually complains) My plate was removed and returned 60 seconds later with the kale still uncooked (couldn't be bothered to ask again). My friends were equally disappointed with their meals. 3 basic mains, 2 (admittedly good) puddings and 2 drinks each for £120 didn't feel like money well spent. I want to give this pub another chance because of the atmosphere but unsure...

We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and were very pleased to have a comfortable room overlooking the beautiful garden. There was a good selection of ales available; and the evening meal of battered hake and chips was well cooked, being crispy, moist and delicious. Breakfast was excellent with fresh berries, yoghurt and cereals. Husband had full English and I had a very tasty mushroom and tomato omelette with all ingredients being freshly cooked. A full pot of tea and cafetiere of coffee was served at the table. Great attention to detail, excellent service with a smile and one of the quaintest places I have ever stayed. Highly recommended.

There for about 45 minutes on a warm summer evening. Good selection of local cask beers as well as the usual keg lagers Pale Ale was a really good session pint. Large sunny beer garden with resident ducks.

Brilliant. We'd already had friends tell us excellent this place is - but we popped in one early afternoon (4 of us) for drinks & lunch. All the staff & service were friendly - and the food was excellent. And a lovely garden. Will certainly go again when in that area.

I had popped in on the Friday to book a table for Sunday when the weather was amazing and so all the doors were open to the beautiful garden and it looked lovely. Unfortunately weather not so good on the day and the doors were closed. Did feel a bit ‘cosy’ in the conservatory and loud due to a number of children (including my own !). However doors were opened as weather improved over the afternoon which was nice. Roast dinner was delicious, highly recommend. Children’s menu limited which was slightly disappointing. Staff attentive and friendly. Happy to recommend and will return, hopefully in the sunshine!

Sadly didn’t get to stay here for the two nights we had booked in to attend a wedding nearby. After feeling a little unwell for a few days prior to check in we did the right thing and tested ourselves for COVID each morning. Unfortunately on the morning of check in my husband and I both tested positive. My husband contacted the Three Cups who were most unhelpful. They refused to waive the charge despite the exceptional circumstances but did say we could defer our stay but only between October and March despite there being availability mid week in the summer months. However, it was the attitude of the booking manager Lucy that really upset us. When my husband asked her “so you don’t mind if I come to stay knowing I have COVID” she replied “it doesn’t bother me.” For an establishment that cares so little about the health and safety of its guests I think we will just lose our money and put it down to experience. Others be warned.
