Stayed here for 2D1N and it's situated in the canal area of Suzhou so this area was really busy. We booked this room because of the views from the balcony and it definitely did not disappoint! The room was clean, however, due to this being in a tourist area, and the building being relatively old, the windows did fully shut and the ventilation wasn't that great which meant we could smell the cigarettes smell from outside all the time so if you can't stand the smell of cigarettes, do not stay here.
The staff were friendly and we got a mini tea set as a free gift the moment we checked-in. There were also 2 resident cats in the hotel who are really friendly and clean as well! Also something to note is that this place does not have a lift so you would need to carry your own luggage up a flight of stairs to get to your room.

Flora Inn Shantang Yuyuan is a masterpiece! Nestled along the historic Shantang Street, this hotel blends traditional Suzhou charm (ancient "overhead bridges" integrated into the design!) with modern luxury. My room, facing the serene canal, featured plush silk bedding, Seven Plus toiletries, and eco-friendly underfloor heating—pure indulgence. The tea house with live Pingtan performances was magical, and the tea restaurant’s local delicacies delighted my palate. Walking distance to Humble Administrator’s Garden and Tiger Hill made exploring effortless. A heartfelt fusion of culture, comfort, and craftsmanship. Truly unforgettable!

WE LOVE IT!!!!!
This is one of the best hotels/homestays I've been to in China!
Just like the pics, it's located at the best spot of Shantang street, very closed to the metro station, and very easy to find.
The service was very nice, both from the actual staff and the cats 🐈🐈⬛
The room and cleanliness have nothing to complain at all.
Sadly Suzhou's attractions are very easy to complete in a day, but I will definitely recommend to anyone to spend time here a night!

The hotel is on the middle of a lively touristic district, in an old building with modern level of comfort. There is a tea house on the first floor, the rooms are on the second floor, you cab go outside on the balcony that fronts the canal. It is a bar street, so it can be loud (understandably), but on the weekend music stops at midnight, on the work day - even earlier, it was quiet around 10 pm. The service was exceptional! Several days before my journey hotel sent me friends request on the wechat and helped with my questions. There was a sudden temperature drop that really bothered me and lady that works in the hotel offered me a second blanket and even a radiator💞 I slept as a baby and enjoyed a nice morning drinking tea with the perfect view💞 10 out of 10 experience!

老闆服務很周到，因在景區，怕我們適應不來，提前聯繫，並告知情況。我們帶着孩子，挺累的，給安排的房間，幾乎聽不到外面熱鬧的聲音。樓下就是酒吧，也可以乘船，拍照聖地，吃的，喝的，走幾分鐘就能到，夜景很美，周邊很多好吃的，好玩的店，崑曲表演，簪花拍照，很讚的一個地方，最後感謝老闆送的小禮物❤

整體還是非常滿意的，可以在限流的五一輕鬆享受山塘的美景。
服務：服務很好，來的時候老闆給提的行李上樓，入住期間換了一次房間，老闆幫忙直接換的，後來因為自己受風，還給找來取暖器。
環境：限流的山塘，白天和夜裡景色都不錯，但是睡眠質量不好的長者家需要評估，確實是夜裡歌舞聲比較大一些
整體很推薦，開窗就是山塘小橋流水人家的景色
