So, I'll say the good things first, LOL. The beds are comfortable and it's usually pretty quiet. Other than that, this hotel is not worth the money. Better yet, the owner of the hotel, Tight lip Mike, judges the guests and will find any reason NOT to take their money. (The irony) 1. The ac units do not work very well at this old motel which can be very uncomfortable in the summer. 2. The restrooms are grimy and the cleaning service rarely comes. 3. The pillows are filthy & disgusting underneath the pillow cases. 4. Some of the ironing boards are completely broken and unusable. 5. The carpets are old and haven't been shampooed in ages. They have a slimy layer of film on them. Wear socks or slippers if you stay here. 6.Mike is a malicious, tight lipped person with a callused heart who lies and never smiles. If it weren't for Lucinda and Carey (or Kerry) who work the front desk, there would be no hospitality at this hotel. Instead of making guests feel comfortable, Mike stalks the rooms and presses his face up against the windows to peer inside if the curtains are open (true story). When I placed a complaint, he confronted me about it instead of addressing the issue at hand which happened to be the second broken down air conditioner. What motel manager confronts paying guests in a room with a broken ac unit in 110 degree heat? (Mike, if you're reading this, I encourage you be kinder. You are obviously living out your Karma from a past life and your Dharma will be affected in the next if you keep this up. Your trashy motel is a reflection of you, sir. Do better. I implore you. May your success improve greatly.) If you have to stay for a long trip, choose the Quality or pay for the La Quinta or Hampton Inn. (If you stay for a night you might encounter the graciousness from Lucinda or Carey and the kind man who works overnight with the blonde hair. If it weren't for these people, Mike would be remiss (although I think he already is). These hard working people deserve more than what he pays them and they should get a raise or a bonus for putting up with his antics. Choose your stay wisely.
