"Wonderful location and friendly staff; however, the way the property is maintained leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, cleanliness is quite poor. In one room we found mold inside the window frames; in another, a broken window pane; and there were numerous cobwebs throughout the house. The bathtubs are potentially dangerous due to the height difference between the floors, and the bathroom fixtures also show clear signs of age. The hairdryer is frankly ridiculous—it looks at least 30 years old. The food is underwhelming and nothing special; I would not recommend dining on site. We had high expectations, but they were all disappointed, and even the breakfast was not enjoyable. Our only thanks go to the staff, who were always attentive and helpful."

"Le déjeuner de la journée de la mère est venu à 6 d'entre nous et nous avons eu un moment merveilleux. Nous avons tous convenu que la farine était la meilleure que nous ayons mangée et nous sommes tous assez fous de nos farines! La vessie et le cracking de porc ont été cuits pour la perfection, comme la farine de viande. Le cheese de cauliflower, le savoy et les carottes de toast ont été tous bien cuites et le Yorkshire était énorme et éclatante. La chambre est très bien placée, mais elle est très bien placée. Les gros pouces jusqu'à Kyla, Ruby, Bo, Sylvia, Jazz et Scarlett... ils couraient le jour comme des montres, qui étaient très occupés et sont un crédit absolu au cœur blanc. Il est évident qu'il s'agit d'un effort d'équipe, donc derrière les scènes, un grand applaudissement aux chefs, au personnel de cuisine et à la direction pour créer un endroit désiré et amiable pour manger et boire dans ce grand village....le travail d'équipe fait le travail de rêve! 👌🙌"

"What an absolute amazing find. The setting was so beautiful and the room was outstanding and so much nicer than we could have ever imagined. The free standing bath was our favourite, the bed was very comfortable and the settee area was very nice. The staff were very understanding of my sons disability and were very patient and kind. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed and cannot wait to return. Could have easily stayed there for days"

"We paid £220.50 for a double room, room it was very small not enough storage, and only 1 teabag for two people on tea service tray and one intact cup other one had broken handle. Bathroom wasnt very clean and shower was quite dangerous as in it only had one setting and that was scalding hot, so neither of us had a shower in the morning, we did tell staff about it and response was shocking in that they already knew about the issue so obviously nothing was being done about it, pity the next people being given room 12. In the morning we couldn't exit from the third floor and had to break emergency opening for door as no reply when we phoned the number given on the door. Breakfast was good and staff were nice hence the 3 stars given as no complaints there. Overall won't be returning."
