Nuthurst Grange Country House Hotel & Restaurant

An excellent afternoon tea with friends for a special birthday. A first time visit for all of us but not the last. Lovely location, friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. We will be back both to have another afternoon tea and to try a dinner in the evening.

I want to thank the wonderful thoughtful staff at the Nuthurst Grange for a recent celebration of life event held at the hotel, in the stables. Firstly upon contacting them I dealt with Magda who reserved the date and booked us in for a viewing twice. it was no problem at all to Magda, she was very kind and gracious. Once booked, we then dealt with Kelly to discuss all of the arrangements and she too helped us with a seamless booking. When it came to the evening before, I wanted to set up a powerpoint presentation, dress tables, at this point Grant and Orsche were our port of call. Wow they could not do enough then and on the day they were kind , helpful there whenever needed throughout the entire day and evening!! Orsche was very thoughtful and caring, asking if we were okay, and Grant even plated food up for my husband and I noting that we did not have tIme to go and eat! They provided an absolutely seamless and coordinated celebration of life for us and we are extremely grateful to all staff there. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the food was amazing !! i cannot fault the hotel or the staff especially grant and Orsche!! Thank you and we will be sure to book again if you will have us as I think we did outstay our welcome!! love Rachael and John McGarry

Sunday lunch was dreadful. I used to love this restaurant, their food used to be excellent. The meat was overcooked and tasteless, and the accompanying veg and potatoes were also tasteless, including the weak garvy. I think because they are trying to cater for everyone e.g. Vegans, Gluton Free, dairy free and are ending up satisfying no one. The starters were bland and non descript. We had Cheese for pudding, best bit of the meal. I wouldn’t bother going if you like a traditional Sunday Lunch. To be fair, they did reimbuse my main meal and pudding but that didn’t make up for my disappoin**ent and a spoilt dining experience. I won’t be returning.

me my sister and hubby’s took my 89 year old mum here for Sunday lunch.it was frankly the worst Sunday lunch Iv ever had.the starter was minute,just 1arancini ball.the main course lamb was so tough we couldn’t cut it or chew and had to take it out of our mouths.the beef wasn’t much better.the potatoes were obviously frozen and uneatable.the cauli cheese was like baby food with a vile yellow sauce.a tiny pud that was 2 mouthfuls.this was £45 a head!we complained about the meat and they just put some dry slices on a plate!disgusting.I complained afterwards and their answer was we used a different provider for the meat! I emailed again and was ignored.our bill was nearly 400pounds and they couldn’t have cared less! Don’t eat here! My poor mom ended up with just green veg for her Mother’s Day lunch.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nuthurst Grange House Hotel. Our rooms were lovely - spacious and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. We were very impressed by the professional and friendly service provided by Wendy and her team. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We went for an evening meal at the Kingswood restaurant and our experience was mixed unfortunately. The food was very good indeed but the room was virtually empty, resources channelled to a party in another room. The worst aspect was our waiter who was joyless and made us feel we were a nuisance. No a**osphere and poor service means we will not be returning unfortunately.

We had a wonderful family lunch in The Earlswood Room at Nuthurst to celebrate two birthdays. The setting was perfect, the food delicious and the service was welcoming, friendly and super efficient. Thank you to all the team who made this happen. We will definitely book again.

What a gem of a hotel. Absolutely spotless, very comfortable rooms. Good choice of menu, food was hot and well presented, service was quick and dinner was delicious. Best breakfast in a hotel for a long time, plenty choice and freshly cooked.The decor is quirky and lovely, staff were polite, attentive and friendly. Attention to detail is obvious throughout the hotel. The grounds are well kept and car parking wasn’t an issue on site. Although I was staying in relation to work, I would stay here if I was visiting the area. Would highly recommend.

It was my first time at Nuthurst Grange and wanted to take my family there for Chris**as dinner. For the price we paid £149.95 per person, I was expecting big things. We didn’t receive are Prosecco or canapé’s on arrival, we got shown to the table then 20 minutes later we received them. We all choose the Turkey dinner for are main and we all were very disappointed it tasted bland and wasn’t very warm the vegetables were like the mixed frozen packets you can buy and didn’t taste fresh or have any flavour and the roast potatoes were very salty and the Yorkshire pudding looked over cooked I had to ask for more gravy as there was hardly any on my plate and what they brought out was still not enough and not very warm. It was such a lot of money to spend and it was such a waste of money, I could have made a better Turkey dinner and saved myself a lot of money. Please don’t wasn't your money and have Chris**as dinner here it was so disappointing.
