Tenby House

Never saw such language at sign in. “At your own risk” galore. Scared me a little. Then walked outside to the side of the pub in the courtyard to enter. Security situation was concerning. Carpet was horrid. Hallway unpleasant smelling. Decor was sooo depressing. Never slept in a place where the “art”/mirrors were bolted to the walls. Bathroom was dated and poor in appearance-tho apparently clean. Very difficult to turn the shower spigot on the wall of the tub. Tiny tv. Room 210 view was not good. Lack of breakfast was a problem as we could not find a cafe open earlyish. The good: you are literally in the middle of everything.

I cannot recommend the tenby house enough for food we had food here last night and it was so delicious that we came back again tonight and we certainly was not disappointed. The prices and portion sizes were 5 star and when we come back in October we certainly will be coming back.

The most outstanding Sunday lunch I have ever had in 53 years on this planet, I cannot fault it, the party of 6 I was eating with felt to the same. Great job 👍 see you next time, will definitely be back

We have come to tenby for a few days with our 10 year old daughter and we ventured in here for a drink and food on a rainy and windy day. I just had to leave a review as was so impressed with the friendly staff, and the food was absolutely amazing. Although I thought the prices were a bit on the expensive side, being in such a tourist place and in the heart of tenby town it was also expected. Once we had eaten the amazing food we didn't mind paying the money. Would recommend this place very highly.

I have been to Tenby many times before, but this is the first time I have been here and it won’t be the last! A fantastic bar/ restaurant, plenty of sports and a fantastic olde world decor. The staff are good the log fire is great and the food is honest pub grub (with a bit extra )

A friend and me got comfortable on 2 bar stools for a drink at the side of the main bar, Barmaid informed us that they were reserved, we asked who are they reserved for and the reply was, "the management or owners in case they wanted to sit down" I replied and said surely the customers should have priority over where to sit, we even asked if we could stay there and we will move if any management or owners came to sit we would move, we were told we couldnt sit there, What kind of customer focused business treats customers in this way?

I walked down to the Tenby House pub where a large board outside the bar detailed that the Rugby World Cup Game between England and Japan would be on tv. I walked in, bought an expensive pint of flat as a fart beer and sat waiting for the match. As the national anthems played, Buster Blood Vessel was belting out Lip Up Fatty on the loudspeakers so I went to the bar and asked if they were putting the commentary on for the game. The barmaid replied, “No, I don’t think we are”. I have to admit to being more than a little miffed, I mean why say they are going to show the game, and for me that means no loud pop music, it means an a**osphere created by the commentators no matter who is playing or how many people are watching, if you invite people then you should do the decent thing. I am here for a week but I won’t be going back in that pub ever again, its just so rude to invite people and then treat them like dirt!

We came in for a drink & wish we hadn’t bothered as the bar staff were unwelcoming & bordering on rude. Decided not to eat here or even return. We ate in the Hope & Anchor instead much nicer & only short walk down hill.

If I could give no stars I would. Basic chicken curry and a pasta dish that cost £33 were absolutely awful. I would estimate that the ingredients and costs to cook were pennies for both. My wife's curry had barely any chicken in it and my pasta was cheap overcooked penne with a tomato soup poured over it. The night before we ate at Cove and for £2 more we had a lovely meal with far superior ingredients and better service. This was p*** taking of the highest calibre and smacks of cutting back post COVID to the highest degree. Bucket and Spaders will be happy with the chips with everything menu but I feel I've been well and truly ripped off here. Walk 100 yards up the road and get your money's worth in Cove and don't get your pants pulled down like me. I can't stress highly enough how much I feel cheated of my hard earned money with this fodder.
